It was our first time here and we loved the vibe. Very Indian decor, walls donned with Indian newspapers, brought back memories from home. Super friendly owners. We started off with keema pav- delicious, spicy and great portion size. We then got chicken dum biryani and Lal Maas curry, both of which were delectable. The biryani had right amount of spices and flavors and very tender chicken. It was served with a raita on the side. Great experience will surely be back to try the other varieties.

Extremely unique and well-flavored Indian food. It is very authentic and delicious. I would highly recommend it. Since it was quite crowded that day, it took some extra time to get the server's attention to check out quickly. However, the food and ambiance are worth exploring

We were thoroughly impressed by this location. Definitely our favorite Indian place for date night. Parking can be tough in the area but the food makes it worth it.

We loved every meal starting with the Pav Baji, Vada Pao and Dahi Batata Puri, Lotus Roof Kofta. They were all a bit different but absolutely flavor bombs. If your familiar with Indian cuisine keep in kind the food can be very spicy. Even the Indian sodas were delicious. Amazing menu, can’t go wrong with any of the choices. We’re definitely coming back soon. The service was excellent as well

I’ve been here for lunch and dinner. The vibe/atmosphere for dinner is definitely cozier. The food is always really good here and the portion size is generous. The non-alcoholic beverage options are a bit limited but it’s not a big deal.

It’s a nice casual spot. I’d recommend making a reservation especially for weekend dinner as it’s a little out of the way.

High quality Indian food that’s tucked away in one of the less busy areas of LIC. I’d definitely make the trek out here again since everything was delicious. Would highly recommended the biryani, the meat is absolutely delicious! The vibe inside is cozy and the food really hits the spot after a long day. Looking forward to coming back soon!

Friendly staff and service, great decor, very flavorful food but spicy. So request less spice if you need to. Fewer vegetarian mains/entrees, but all veg appetizers are great!

Awesome food if you like your food spicy and varied. The appetizers pull their weight and are recommended. I tried also one thing from the grill and the biryani from the curry section, and all were excellent. I really loved the cauliflower, actually. The portion sizes vary, with the biryani being rather large and the other two smaller. The garlic naan was soft and fresh, and just buttery enough. For me the food alone brings this place to 5 stars and one of my favorites. On the other hand, the service was just okay: they showed up, but only one waiter (the manager?) talked to us, the rest were just dropping stuff and running away, and not coming to check on us at all. The chairs were not very comfortable, which is not something I normally have to pay attention to.

Recommended by an Indian-food-lover friend and I was happy that I came❤‍🔥

✨Lamb chops were my favorite. They had the best ones I had so far in NYC.. SERIOUSLY. It was tender, flavorful, and juicy.

The butter chicken curry was great too. Curry was on the sweet side, and chicken chunks were huge.

I recommend naan if you want to add something. The garlic one we had was not that heavy taste. Some people might want it more but some people might think it’s enough.

The last one, starter, Aloo Chana Chaat. My first time having this kind of dish. Not a bad choice, it was good tbh! But really only for people love rich spices taste and people who wanna try new thing.

Amazing experience. Great atmostphere. Some of the best food I have eaten ever. Best Indian food I've eaten, and best in NYC.
Come here! And eat the butter curry and Biryani. You won't regret it

"I had a fantastic experience at Adda Cantin, and a huge part of that was because of the Indian girl serving us. Prit was so kind, patient, and professional. Her attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile really stood out. She made the dining experience much more enjoyable."

Great food, amazing staff. We loved the Golgappa chat with dahi and butter chicken was too good. Would love to go back again.

A casually decorated space featuring walls dense with images only serves to help you settle into really powerfully seasoned food.

Everything we ordered didn't shy away from flavor or their intended design.

Bright reds, yellows, and deep greens that will make you sweat.

If you like indian food this is a great spot to check out in the neighborhood.

If you like food on the lighter side you might have to miss out.

Really tasty Indian food and not your usual dishes. Let the owner/manager help you decide. Had the goat cooked with rice and saffron. Delicious. And enough for two people. My friend loved his Butter Chicken. Made a reservation on Wed night. Highly recommend that as its a small place. Acoustics need work, loud with just people talking. BYOB.

Hands down, one of the best Indian meals I've had in New York City. All the flavors are so unbelievably delicious. The Paneer Tikka tastes just like it would in India. The dhai puri has the perfect amount of yogurt and chutney ratio, the kale pakoras are outstanding and the amul cheese and chili naan will leave you licking your fingers clean!

I just went and want to go back already. I wish I could eat here everyday!

The service is awesome and the food is outstanding! Everyone needs to eat here at least once.

A nice Indian cuisine. The lunch menu was nice and so was the dinner menu. The food we wanted to try was from dinner option which they didnt provide during lunch time. With recommendation from friends came to try Adda. I must say their service was awesome. The five star is for their service. Liked the appetizers but not a big fan of lunch or curry it was more heavy and couldnt finish even half of the dish. Will be back to try their dinner menu as well. And wished if they could also serve their dinner menu during lunch time if customers want it. Just a business tip!

We were apprehensive as we entered this hole-in-the-wall restaurant. Inside it is indeed like a college town hangout. The menu is limited when compared with a typical Indian restaurant but the food is deee-licious. We had Lucknow Dum Biryani, Butter Chicken and several naans. Best of all, getting a reservation on Resy is relatively (!) easy when compared with their sister businesses - Dhamaka and Semma.

Loved the food here. If you ever miss Amul cheese in your food, just come here. Highly recommend the pav bhaji, paneer tikka and black dal here.
We also came in just before their closing time and they still accommodated us.
Enjoyed reading the old newspaper clippings on the walls - very diversely chosen.

Wow. This Indian restaurant is really good! I highly recommend the eggplant curry. My favorite out of all the ones I've ordered. The fish was nice too.

My friend told me this place was amazing so I had to come try. I got the butter chicken and garlic naan and tasted pretty good. I’m not an Indian cuisine expert so I’m not too sure if this is MUCH better than other Indian restaurants but I do have to say the food was pretty good.

Overjoyed to have found this place, definitely my new fave Indian spot in the city. Flavors were on point, right spice level, homemade taste (not too much butter or oil). Will definitely be back to try more!

Great for vegetarians!
