Holmes Suites & Inn

Friendly staff was able to greet us quite late, which we appreciated. The front lobby was spacious and Covid-conscious. Door security featured electronic key cards. Our double queen room was very clean, with a nice shower and comfortable beds. Microwave, mini fridge, desk, and TV were present and functional. Checkout was easy, with minimal contact. We plan to stay again in the future.

I have stayed a lot of places as a travel nurse and this was one of the best. The man at the front desk was wonderful. So much so I booked a second night. My room was clean and the bed was really comfortable. It was a bit noisy at first but settled down around 10pm which was fine. Will definitely be staying here from now on.

Nice little gem of a hotel, dwarfed and sandwiched by the big name chains. I was a bit put off by their credit card policy; I attempted to pay the entire stay in advance with Expedia, but when I got there they insisted on seeing the actual plastic card; I didn't have it because my father's estate was paying the bill. I understand their reasoning (they are trying to prevent fraud) but I wish I had been told prior.

My room is modern and clean; the building itself is only 5 years old. I appreciated that the headboard was securely attached to the wall (some of you understand why). Almost a full-size fridge...Keurig...tiny microwave. Solid wood furniture. Bed was comfortable. Tv with air channels.

Even with the paying issue, the night clerk could not have been nicer. Almost too nice, because I was grumpy by then, and he kept wanting to give me good advice! The day clerk was also very friendly, and took care of the paying issue with a minimum of fuss.

Final note: no gym, closed because of covid. Oddly, they kept the treadmill, a top of the line unit that they plopped in the hallway overlooking the meeting room. I used it though.

Rooms were very clean beds were so comfy I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud big body pillows on beds white clean bedding and towels had microwave cable fridge and front desk very nice guy I give 5 stars would so stay there again. Very nice place hard to find with Google map but only cause there's a homes hotel right by it.

The gentleman that checked us in was very friendly and pleasant. He immediately told us that we got upgraded to a room with 2queen beds instead of the double we had booked he said he noticed how long we were staying and wanted us to be comfortable. Our room has a Keurig coffee maker, a microwave and a fridge. The room was very clean and very quiet. Would stay here again.

Pleased with our stay. Staff was helpful and courteous. Room was clean. Bathroom was clean. Did the bedbug check and the mattress is in a sealed bag for just that purpose. I would definitely recommend and plan to stay there in the future.

Staff was knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Overall, I was there from Sunday to Sunday and my stay was quiet and comfortable. Also, the pricing for my week's stay was very reasonable and I'd definitely stay at Holmes Suites again! Thank you.

So, I've noticed that the reviews for this place are either really good or really bad, so I paid close attention during my stay.

It was relatively easy to find, their sign is off the main road, but they are certainly "in the cut" next to the Home2 hotel. The little side road certainly need patched up, but the hotel's personal parking lot seems just fine.
Upon entry, the hotel seemed rather upscale. There was a very nice lobby area, the front desk was typical, but overall, the foyer was pretty nice without too much of a close look.
When booking, they told me it was $61 over the phone, when I got there though, they offered us a nicer room at only $50 after I had asked for no adjacent occupancies. There's a $1 drink machine on the first floor and ice machines on both floors. Second floor has a treadmill and bike in the hall. The stairwell and halls seemed very nice.
Upon entering the room, my date and I were beyond shocked at our first impression. A relatively huge room with what seemed like a king sized bed as opposed to the queen we requested. A large flat screen TV on the wall, a nice large couch, a kitchenette complete with a microwave, Keurig (and stuffs to make coffee/tea), a sink, and a small freezer/fridge (albeit empty), and the bathroom was really nice (if not maybe a bit under stocked). The overall scheme of the room was just awesome. The bed was beyond comfortable, although it was certainly a squeaker if you move too much, but just normal rolling barely made a sound. It had 4 very comfortable pillows with 2 extra on standby in-room. The couch was also extremely comfortable. It includes a pull out bed that, in my opinion, if the poorest excuse for a couch bed I've ever laid on, and I've slept in gravel. You can feel the frame bars through the mattress. BUT! That's just a couch bed, not really a deal breaker. If you need a second bed, I'd really recommend just getting a second room.
The bathroom was really, really nice. It's where most of my complaints lie, but my many complaints can also be easily over looked. It was a little understocked, I've had more soap in a rundown motel. The toilet water pressure is way too damn high, the shower water pressure is way too damn low. And we had one towel that looked like a guest used it to clean a spilled cup of coffee and the hotel couldn't get the stain out.
As far as the TV, the one in this room is a RokuTV, but it really only works for cable.

Upon finishing our one night stay, I had inquired a out breakfast (because some reviews complain about falsified breakfast catering, which they don't advertise) and they do not serve breakfast, however, the morning front desk clerk recommended is to a breakfast place down the way with a discount flyier for being a Holmes Inn Guest.

I saw one review in regards to bedbugs (about a month ago) which I doubt that is the case bc they would've been shut down for a good while for fumigation.

Overall, awesome stay. 5/5 bc even after all the greatness and the few small flaws, this stay couldn't have been better. Will come back again if need be. Will review again if I have a less than 5 star experience.

The best hotel experience we have ever had. We stayed for 4 days. We asked for towels and they were at our door in less than a minute. Everyone we encountered was very very nice. We loved our stay! Deffinantly worth the extra money. Will be back soon!

Pet friendly if your nice. We booked a room across the street at Comfort Inn I think. The Google description said Comfort Inn was pet friendly which was false. This place saved my butt for sure. They charged us a $20 fee and a $50 deposit for our dog.

Very clean. Our suite was huge. No tub, only shower, but the full kitchen & refrigerator & keurig coffee pot was great!! By far the best value for the price. Great for a weekend stay-cation!

Amazing hotel extremely fast check in, friendly staff. The room is perfect, along with my extra soft linens making the cozy part of anyone's stay enough to be in my top favs 😉 I definitely will enjoy my extended stay here and most certainly will return for any future trips.

We enjoyed our 3 Night Stay. The rooms were super clean, modern & the hospitality was great. Our stay was quiet & pleasant & the room was priced affordably. If the prices stay the same, we look forward on our next stay when we're in the area.

Great customer service. We use this hotel each time we come to Columbus. They give a pass to use LA FITNESS so you can get those gaims. The room are large and spacious.

The 2 front desk ppl that I feel had GREAT customer service skills ... James and sorry I forgot her name but she has beautiful long red hair and stated she had only been there 7 months they were great!!! My rooms where clean the stay was great

A little hard to find the entrance but Marie was amazing. Rooms good size. Good coffee. Good price. Clean. Nice bathrooms.

Had a pleasant expirence. No they dont serve breakfast but i think the womans name was page she was friendly kind and very helpful with ideas of where to go she always had a smile and answered all my silly questions lol overall my expirence was pleasant and ill be returning.. If you go there be sure to recognize the staff such friendly ladies page and a gentleman gave me great service

It was clean and the staff was courteous. Ashley the clerk that signed me in was awesome! She went out of her way to make sure I was taken of with the room since it was late.

The rooms are nice and clean. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Its tucked back and private so it made the stay very peaceful.
