Watkins Motel

We booked this place for a night and it was perfect. The owner is friendly and helpful. She gave us tips for sightseeing and dinner. The rooms are comfortable and our parking was right outside our door. Shops, restaurants and waterfront are 10-15 min walk. The best part is the Watkins Glen State Park is across the street. We did an early morning hike and had time to come back and shower before heading out. We would definitely come back.

This is a great Motel, had everything we needed. This place reminded me of a place I stayed at in San Francisco by the Fisherman’s Warf. This place is perfect to just go do your activities and then come back to rest or recoup. You have Dunkin Donuts and Burger King near by if you want breakfast or food, but this Motel does offer coffee so thank you for my morning caffeine! Walking distance to the State Park so that was convenient and lovely. I would definitely stay here again. See you next time Catarina thank you for guiding me around the area, very nice and helpful!

Perfect spot and reasonable pricing! Offers all the important items for us…. Wifi, places to walk to like Dunkin for my morning coffee and you can walk down to the State park. As soon as I walked up to the main house/office reminds me of some of the houses I grew up in on Long Island, NY. Had everything we needed and it was clean, thank you!

NGL, when someone says motel, there's a certain level of expectation on what you'll get. Centrally located within walking distance of Watkins Glen State Park, and various restaurants in the area, this motel was a pleasant surprise! The room was cozy, and had all the amenities we needed covered. Our room also had a microwave and fridge which was really helpful for leftovers. The bathroom was well-appointed with a lot of towels, shampoo, body wash, and soap. If we come back here, we'd gladly stay at this motel again!

We stopped here on our way to Vermont. I made the reservation a day before we arrived. Mrs. Hong was very attentive and helpful. The hotel was in a great location. We could walk to downtown and Watkins State Park. The room was a little small/crowded, but just perfect for us. It was quiet and the beds were very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

Cute little motel that's sits literally across from Watkins Glen State Park. Mrs. Hong is a gracious host and made myself and my friends feel welcome. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Thank you Mrs. Hong!😊

Fantastic little more. Very clean. Great working AC. Clean bathrooms and shower. Quiet . Comfy bed. Friendly staff.
Would definitely stay here again if we ever make it back to the area. The staff was very friendly and if you saw them throughout your stay they'd always ask if you needed anything more.

This is a prime spot to stay it. So many different places with in a 10 minute drive and a lot within walking distance. Being so close to Watkins Glenn State Park was wonderful too, especially being able to just relax for a little after the long hike.

Great ice cream places all in walking distance. Great food around too. Nickels BBQ is a must for anyone who stays here.

Owner was very friendly and helpful, and we could walk to the park and downtown.
Only issue was the rooms were not dark enough for us at night and we would have slept better with blackout shades, but that is a personal preference.

Walking distance to the State Park and to quite a few eating establishments. The rooms were very clean and the area was very quiet. The Owners are very courteous and won't hesitate to meet your needs. I would recommend this motel for any length of stay. We will be staying there on our next trip to the area.

Absolutely loved this place! It was immaculately clean and the owners were wonderful and treated you like family! When I do make it up there again, this is the only place I will stay at. You never know what you're going to get when you choose a motel without doing much research..... We stayed here on a whim after the state Park had no more availability. We had to fill out name, address, and credit card number on an old school index card, and the room had a real key, but for $139/night during leaf peeping season, at the very last moment, we decided to try. This place was a wonderful surprise! It is newly renovated and immaculate. Even the outsides of the buildings were clean! The room was quaint, but modern, with a flat screen TV above the fireplace and a mini fridge in the corner. The bathroom had ample space for 2 people, plenty of shelves in the shower and soap and lotion dispensers. There was also a large wall mounted charging unit with electrical plugs and USB ports for charging devices, and free WiFi. It's located downtown, immediately across from Burger King and about a mile from the park. Give it a try!

My family and I stayed this past weekend and would definitely stay here again. The room we had sat behind the main building which was excellent for not hearing any of the traffic from the main road. The walk to the state park was about two blocks so you cant really get too much closer. The walk to the lake was about 11 blocks which was prefect for us since we love to walk around the little town. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. The owners were super friendly and helpful in providing tips and places to see in the area. Thank you!

This was our third trip to the Glen and staying at the Watkins Motel. This time Win and I brought the whole family and needed three rooms. Not disappointed, nary a one. Our hostess was her usual pleasant and resourceful self. Very kind and rooms spotless.

The hotel and service were wonderful. The owner, Clarissa, was so incredibly helpful with great tips about visiting Watkins Glen State Park. The hotel is within walking distance of the lower entrance so no need to pay the $10 parking fee. You can also walk to lots of restaurants, and the lake was about a 10 minute walk away. Clarissa also gave us some spot on recommendations for wineries to visit in the area the next day. This was also one of the cleanest motels/hotels I’ve ever stayed in, and I travel a lot.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Watkins Glen, especially if you plan to visit the park early, before everyone else gets there.

I took a last second trip to check out Watkins Glen state park and I needed a place to stay. Watkins Motel is perfectly located near everything. I was waking distance from the marina, the park, convenience store, etc.

The room I had was fine. Mini fridge, TV, desk, chairs, queen sized bed (or maybe king? Not sure). It was very quiet and the front desk was very kind. The parking lot is kind of hidden from the road so it feels more private especially that I rode my motorcycle down and I didn’t want to leave it out on the street for everyone to see.

This place worked out for me and I have no complaints. Kudos to the front desk! They are very responsive and their prices are fair compared to what’s around them. I’m already planning another stay there with my next Watkins Glen visit.

Gary & Clarissa were so accommodating at the very last minute even during their busiest weekend. I needed a room and was really desperate and they told me to call back to find out if they might have a cancellation and thank God, somebody cancelled and Gary stayed up waiting for us to check in. If this is not customer service then I do not what is. I would highly recommend this hotel to all my family and friends! Their rooms are so clean and all the towels and sheets are fresh! Thank you for your hospitality!

I was very happy with my stay. My room was clean and in good condition. The location was very convenient. It was run by a nice people. My plans changed and I left a day early. Even though I did not expect it, they were kind enough to refund my money for that day.
I'll definitely stay here next time I am in the area.

Great location right near the entrance to Watkins Glen State park. Also within walking distance of many restaurants and shops. My room was very clean and everything was up to date. Excellent service and the price was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend staying here.
