The Heights

We went for a small family celebration and had a wonderful time. Our server Patrick was extremely knowledgeable and genuinely excited about the wonderful food that was coming from the kitchen. I particularly enjoyed the mussels, fennel and mango appetizer, and the desserts were out of this world.

10/10 everything was delicious. Their pizza was their least impressive offering but besides that we had an amazing meal.

Excellent full portions of food. Could not go wrong with the specials. Servers were helpful and friendly. It was slow so the sommelier was available to make good recommendations on the wine to go with our meal.

Best pork dish I've ever had. I never order pork, so glad I did here. Stunning. Order the BBQ Iberico Pork, you'll be glad for it.

The Heights serve excellent seafood. They also have an extensive wine selection. We had the salmon collar with fried clams (the special for the day) and halibut (the fish of the day) for dinner. They didn't disappoint. There were chunky amounts of very fresh salmon in the salmon collar. The halibut was also very good. The dessert recommendations of Lava Chocolate Soufflé and the Heights Signature Chocolate Cake by Victoria, our very attentive and friendly server, hit all the right spots.

My husband and I have gone to the heights several times and it is our absolute favorite restaurant!! We always come back excited to try one of the specials for the night, they are phenomenal!! The entree and its accompaniments are cooked perfectly and thoughtfully orchestrated to be the best taste profile and pairings for the dish. We love how much love and thought is put into the food, it really shows! All staff are so kind and helpful as well as the chef who was so nice and personable to converse with us one evening. The price is worth everything you get including the amazing bread and a choice of salad with the already incredible entrees. Not to mention the portions are very generous and we always leave stuffed and happy!!

I’m not big on steak or seafood, which The Heights always offers in abundance with their specials… but the vegetarian entree (though usually only one) is always very good. Great presentation for whatever you order. Cocktails are always spot on and service too. Nice place to come for a special occasion. Lava cake is delish, and chocolate is usually not my first choice for a dessert… but it is here.

The best fine dining experience in Ithaca which I would do once in my life during my study. Definitely very pricey but worth the dishes they offer to you. The classic Caesar salad was fresh and scrumptious, I ordered Seafood Bouillabaisse & Gnocchi which was creamy with flavorful toppings to my liking, and my buddies got steak special. The portion was huge for my preference but I managed to (almost I think) finished them out. Overall, amazing experience :)

One of our favorite restaurants near Ithaca. New menu selections are outstanding! Shared pork cheeks, shrimp toast, and crab beignets to start. Each app was amazing with creativity and great presentation. Entrees were just as delicious, with a creative surprise in each, flavor combinations and interesting textures/pairings. Waiter Kyle was exceptional as well, going the extra mile to make our meal special.

Amazing grilled chicken, lava cake, and appetizers. Waiters were very accommodating when we had a guest arrive late. Will definitely return!

Graduation dinner was great. Place was packed but service still good. The fish specials, branzino and salmon, were awesome. Lamb chops and skirt steak also great. I’d suggest the cheesecake over the fudge cake.

Usually the best food in Ithaca, but not the most consistent. Nice plating. Would strongly recommend getting the Ahi tuna steak special if they have it - it's their best dish.

Great food and great service!
We had Brazilian Skirt Steak, and Seafood with Gnocchi. Both come with very fresh salad which has unique dressing.
We were very satisified with the quality of the food and I highly recommend this place! Better to make a reservation after 6:00 pm.

Came here for a wedding rehearsal dinner and the back room is large enough to fit our party of ~25 people with room to spare. Food was a selection from a prix fine menu and was delicious. The highlight was the skirt steak which was perfectly cooked medium rare and super tender. Large portion sizes as well.

We got lucky and we were able to get a reservation on graduation weekend.
Patrick was awesome- friendly, knowledgeable, and funny.
The food was superb. The bone marrow dish being my favorite of the night.

The Heights is hands down one of the best tucked away restaurants in Ithaca. In my opinion the menu is for a refined palate, one that can appreciate a grand bouquet of flavors offered on many of the menu items. Strongly suggest this restaurant as a contender if you are in the area.

Had dinner here on my birthday with my daughter and grandson. The tempura soft shell crabs were so fresh and well-prepared, I thought I was back on the East End of Long Island.

Excellent dinner. Attentive service, nice selection of entrees, high quality, fresh ingredients. Very generous servings. I enjoy the Asian spin on some of the offerings.

My wife made reservations for us last night for my birthday. The veal tomahawk was amazing. The service was amazing. We live two and half hours away and I would drive here again to dine at this restaurant.

My absolute favorite restaurant in the Ithaca area! Tonight we celebrated my parents 64th anniversary. Our server Jamie was friendly, helpful, and wonderful. The food as always fresh, tasty and perfectly unique. Make it your go to spot when you can.
