Two huge thumbs down to the Apple Store and two GIGANTIC thumbs up to Mac Ave service!! After 4 months my MacBook display stopped working. The Apple Store told me I had physical damage to the screen and I needed a $600 screen repair (after looking at it for 7.2 seconds.) Tyler at Mac Ave did a THOROUGH exam and determined there was no physical damage and it was indeed a warranty covered repair. If ANYONE needs service for their Apple products, in or out of warranty, go see them!! Plus the shop is super cute and has tons of things to check out while you wait!!

After a Sisyphean struggle to get my phone repaired at the Apple store in Eastview (whose intake process is horrific, consisting of an unknown number of people to talk to, as one is escalated up the chain with 5-15 minute waits between steps), my hope was that coming here I'd talk to one person. That's what I got :) Major phone repair (cracked back) under Apple care with no complaints.

This place is certified/legit for Apple repairs, but with none of the mall store's rigmarole. I'm sure we'll crack one of our phones again in the near future, and I'll be back here when we do.

My iMac had a problem that was not easily identified by Apple diagnostics. The techs at Mac-Ave stuck with it and solved the problems. I found them to be very knowledgeable, proficient, and professional. I was kept informed every step of the way.

Just a fantastic experience in every way! Super friendly and knowledgeable, quoted me a repair price for my broken iPad mini 6 screen that was $200 lower than other area repair shops, and had it ready for me 24 hours later! Stumbled across them on Google and it was one of the best strokes of luck I've had.

Jacquie is very dedicated to device maintenance and repair. She was transparent and accurate with the estimated time-frame and cost of a battery replacement for an older Macbook Pro that I brought in on behalf of my company. She is also friendly and people-oriented which makes for excellent customer service. Entirely unrelated, but she gave me a piece of candy, which was nice as well. I will definitely be going to Mac Ave for all of my Apple devices, and they're my first recommendation when someone is looking for maintenance or repairs with their own Apple devices.

MAC-Ave is where you need to go! Why bother with the crowds, the scheduling, the indifference of “the geniuses” of the Apple Store? At MAC-Ave you deal directly with the owner, Jacquie. She is a businesswoman with integrity. She doesn’t oversell you on tech you don’t need. She doesn’t “rip you off” with work that’s not required. They do most of the repairs in-house. They will give you honest advice on service, what to purchase, and even tell you the best or least expensive option. The last time I was in, Jacquie said, “You don’t need to upgrade, all you need to do is (XY&Z).” Who does that anymore? They also have a great showroom loaded with accessories you won’t find at the mall store. And they have a service staff that is certified to perform Apple warranty service work right there! These are the people that have service contracts with the large companies right at your fingertips. Plus, they keep all your records. They know more about my Apple history then I do! The Apple corporation sets the prices, so they the exactly the same as the mall store, and they are only 5 minutes away from Eastview mall (with a much shorter walk from the parking lot). Walk in, talk to the owner, get what you came for fast, get your questions answered by real professionals who remember who you are, and support a local woman owned business. Go there, you won’t go anywhere else.

Great people and great service! We interacted with Jacqui and Tyler, both of whom were lovely, efficient, and fun to talk to.

It’s clear from the handful of acerbic reviews from disgruntled previous customers that some people lack a sense of how long standard repairs take and are under the mistaken impression that rudeness entitles them to retail miracles.

In my experience, familiarizing yourself with the service process ahead of time, coming in with a list of questions, and having a good attitude will make the process smooth. We have had only positive experiences here across multiple visits for multiple devices. Support small businesses!

Absolutely amazing! You will not regret bringing your computer here! I drove all the way from Cortland, NY and will definitely be coming back if needed. It is 100% worth the drive for their friendly and fast service. I LOVED their email updates during the process of replacing the cracked screen in my MacBook Air. They answered every phone call and email promptly and courteously. I can't say enough about their professionalism and the speed of the work! They had my laptop fixed by the end of the day the new part arrived. Even during these strange times, they were nice and performed phenomenal work. As if all this wasn't enough, they also give to a charity in Africa. I will be returning for sure!

We've always gone right to the Apple store as we questioned the legitimacy of stores like this...BIG mistake!!!

We needed to upgrade the RAM in one of the Macs that can't be done by the user, so we went to Mac-Ave and had the following observations/experiences...

1. The storefront is so cool inside...there is SO much to look at as you wander around...lots of "vintage" iPods and other Apple product, plus other fun items.
2. The cost to upgrade the RAM was so expensive that we decided to just trade the 2yr old device in for a new one (long story, but all the headaches are caused by the way APPLE does things...not the shop). Apple wouldn't be able to get us a new device until the middle of March...Mac-Ave was able to do it in less than a week (thanks to Apple's updated policies I wasn't able to use the education discount, so it was a little more expensive, but well worth it)
3. When it was time to pick it up, there was a little confusion regarding the payment (the text said to click the link in the email, but they didn't actually send the email until I arrived for pick-up), which caused a delay (my daughter was picking it up but paying with my card, so we needed to do it online). For this reason we would really rate it 4.5, but that's not an option and the woman was very interactive while my daughter waited, so the wait was a breeze).
4. We decided to open the extra $150 to have them transfer the data. Usually my daughter does it, but she's a teacher and life is just too crazy right now (plus that would've meant we had to pick up BOTH devices and then return the old one once it was set up)...we weren't sure exactly what would get transferred, but all of the apps and everything were all transferred and ready to go (just needed to input passwords).
5. They're a small business!! We love supporting small businesses, but it's getting harder and harder these days.

We'll gladly give up the education discount going forward if it means we get to keep working with them (although it would be great if Apple could stop being so greedy with their discounts!!)

I was in macs for service on my iPhone XS Max. The experience was immeasurably better than the Apple store. The service was welcoming and friendly. I didn’t feel rushed, and was given excellent advice/ recommendations. The advice was thoughtful and coming from real world experience. I definitely recommend traveling a few minutes down the road from the Apple store for Macs!

Traveled a considerable distance for a battery repair on my MacBook Pro and they were sure to get it serviced as fast as possible. They went above and beyond to make sure I was able to avoid waiting another day and having to take another trip up. I would definitely recommend this shop over any other local Apple store and I'll be coming back in the future for sure.

Highly professional, so friendly, great work. They had a new battery in my phone in 1.5 hours on a busy day! Highly recommend using their online form which gets you all ready for the appointment. They also have absolutely top notch safety measures in place during COVID-19 and continue to be a great service during this time. Thank you!

I want to start off by saying I had no idea that this place even existed until I drove past it the other day. My simple question was could they replace the screen on my 2014 MacBook Pro. I called up and explained the problem that I was having with the screen and they proceeded to tell me that they would be able to replace the screen free of charge because it was still underneath warranty from Apple. I kid you not when I say this I was literally ready to pull the trigger on a new $550 screen repair from these people. They went out of their way to answer my questions on the phone and told me that they would be able to get the screen in within a day and the repair would take place on the same day as well. I was blown away at the customer service that these people provided me. I had never not once bought anything from this place and this was my first encounter with them to get a free screen replacement. I had talked to Apple support on the phone about this issue a year ago and they were reluctant to even provide me with any information and how I could get this replaced or fixed let alone getting it done for free. The work that was done on the screen was nothing short than Perfection at its finest. Not even a trace of a fingerprint left on my device. I'll tell you what any time that I ever need service for an Apple product i will be using this company. Mind you I live in Hilton and they are on the complete opposite side from. When service is this good I don't care how far I have to drive as long as I know I will be treated right.

This business is great! Took my MacAir in this morning first thing because of a pop-up I was concerned about, as well as other operating questions. They had it for a little over an hour and it's all fixed! A great local shop! They're knowledgeable and speak in "user friendly" terms. Will be back!

I have nothing but good things to say about this store. I had my macbook repaired very quickly with prompt updates. My mom also bought a new macbook pro. We both experienced amazing customer service. The store is very rustic with a ton of character. They have a great selection of mac products and a huge selection of cases and accessories. We ended up staying and talking to the owner and her son for over an hour. They are all friendly and knowledgable people. We had the best experience. The owner feels like a friend from the second you meet her. She was so smart and sweet. I let her hold my 3 month old baby. Great family owned business!

I have been a customer of the Mac-Ave by Jessie group since 2009 (could be earlier than that). Jacquie, the owner, is not only the nicest person I deal with publicly in any store, but is also very knowledgeable and helpful with the products she sells. After extensive research i settled back on a new MacBook Air with the M1 processor. my first laptop ever, after using mac Mini's for years and before that the old G4 towers, G3 etc. Jacquie not only answered all my questions but made sure i had all my files and pics from my old Mac Mini that was crashing. She also explained why having an external hard drive is a key tool. Steve was helping me before she arrived and was also not only very knowledgeable and helpful but very nice as well. I could have gotten the same MacBook Air M1 processor at Best Buy for $50 less, but I prefer to support local mom and pop shops when I can. the big box stores have closed too many local run and owned businesses. believe me, when it comes to Mac, you won't be sorry you shopped with the Mac-Ave.

I have known Jacquie/MacAve. for 30+ years on a B to B basis. She and her staff are experts with Apple devises and possess huge knowledge of how their products interface with the world. They have sold me what I need, not more, not less. They service it with flexibility. And they are fun to work with! I highly recommend them.
