Two moms and I came for wedding hair.

The hairstylist who was in training had a hard time with my mom’s hair but the team helped her out and the owner stepped in. We were all very happy with our service. They got us in And out on time, very friendly and lovely people! I’d recommend in a heartbeat.

Hire Bex and her amazing team for your wedding day! It seriously was the best decision we made for our wedding day. Bex, Olivia and Amber gave us the most fantastic experience. Bex is incredibly precise, so accommodating, talented, kind, and genuinely cares about giving you and your bridal party the look you want. Not only were her and her team so much fun, but they were so efficient with timing and made getting ready such a special experience. I can’t thank them enough. Bex is an amazingly talented stylist and is prompt to respond to questions and provides a detailed schedule for the day of, which made timing our morning a breeze. Olivia did such an amazing job with the bridesmaids hair and Amber is magical with makeup! I would recommend them to anyone, no matter what look or hair texture you have!!

I have been going to Bex since the salon opened and it is the most welcoming and comfortable experience to get my hair cut or colored! I have recommended all of the stylists to anyone who will listen and also had Bex and her team do my wedding this past summer! With myself, 8 bridesmaids, my mother and MIL, Bex and her team were professional, efficient and fun! I trialed my hair and makeup a few months prior and Bex took care to adjust as needed and give me the perfect bridal hair that stayed put all evening! So happy with my experience at Bex and with the Bex team for bridal services!

Candice is an apprentice under Olivia and she cut my hair and was meticulous. Olivia was super attentive but still gave Candice autonomy to make her own decisions. It was a great experience and she did a great job. The salon is lovely and so tastefully decorated. I would highly recommend. Candice also has give my daughter curly cuts and it’s the best her hair has ever looked at a fraction of the price.

I’ve had a great experience every time I’ve come into Bex, and everyone there is very friendly and knowledgeable about their profession.

This is the first salon I’ve ever felt comfortable coming to and I never want to take stars away from an amazing place, because they absolutely did nothing wrong and they deserve a full 5 stars, but I do want to say (online in a review because I’m too timid to actually speak my mind in person) that as a queer, broke, jobless person, it’s hard to come here as often as I’d like, it feels like the cut and highlight refresh that I got cost me more than the initial highlights. I understand that this is a business though, so I’m sorry for complaining.

Very friendly, passionate, professional staff members. i personally see Michael, I have been a client for about 3/4 years. Michael takes care & maintains the integrity of my blonde hair. Michael also does my extension wefts. Love my hair every time! I highly recommend!

I have been getting my haircut and styled at Bex’s salon for almost 4 years and every time I leave I am so happy with the results. When I started my hair was course, thick, and naturally wavy but due to medication it has thinned and straightened. Bex and now Olivia always make sure to cut my hair and style it to encourage the wave to reappear, which it is! Thank you Olivia for making me feel confident and beautiful every time I am there.

This salon is special; as soon as you step into the environment created by Becca you can feel the professionalism, creativity and spirit! My first cut by Becca was perfectly executed to my needs and what I communicated in our consultation, plus made my style much more modern and fresh. My color by Micheal was magic! They offered me options that catered to my needs and budget, and made me feel right at home..and beautiful! I went to Bex Salon for the first time last weekend for a haircut and highlights with Stevie. As usual she was very patient with my thick hair and she took the time to really understand what I was looking for with my cut and color. She did a fantastic job and I’m very happy with my hair! The other stylists at Bex were also very welcoming and incredibly friendly. I highly recommend Bex and can’t wait to go back!

I love this place so much. They really listen to you and help you work through whatever hair troubles you got. Every time I come out of there I feel like a million dollars and my hair feels so healthy and happy. 10/10 would recommend worth every penny.

I could not be more pleased with my experience with Olivia at Bex. My little sister had recently gotten the short haircut of her dreams. First time getting a cut from Stevie and this new salon and I had a great experience! The salon itself is a very welcoming environment, and Stevie always does a fantastic job on my cut. I felt very comfortable the entire time. 10/10 I wish I didn’t live all the way across the country from them 😆

I brought my daughter to BEX for her first haircut. She is two & a half, has super tight curls & is very, very sensitive about her hair. Becca was incredibly patient with her, explaining each tool she was going to use, playing music & offering options. Although my daughter was still anxious, she worked with her & did a wonderful job. It is a beautiful space with a soothing environment & overall excellent service. We'll be back!

I can honestly say Becca is the best stylist I have ever had, she gives a consistent perfect cut every time. She is creative when you want to change things up too! Olivia worked on my sister in laws hair and did a wonderful job. Olivia and Becca are warm, inviting and genuinely happy people; they are creative specialists!

If you are looking for one of the best experiences by professional hair guru's!!! This is the place. So I love local business and I especially love my neighborhood business. What a great addition to the Stockade and downtown Schenectady. Owner and her apprentice made me feel like a million bucks!!! I have been going to barbers for years, but I may never go back to my barber after getting my hair cut by these master cutters. If there was a black belt in hair cutting, this place would win. I am glad they are open again. My hair felt and looked great. I felt like I left with a little bit of knowledge on how I should be managing my scalp. I never knew that certain things do nothing, while other products really help create a healthier scalp. I strongly recommend this place. Nice ambiance and great space. Thanks Bex and Olivia!

ABOVE AND BEYOND! From the start, Becca is so engaging. Her (and her staffs) professionalism, experience, and passion are evident immediately. I truly have never had an experience like this before, from the hospitality to the full scalp and neck massage-I was blown away by the individualized attention given to me. The space is gorgeous - chic, but tranquil! I also love that she displays local artists work on her walls. This was an experience that went far beyond just a haircut and a fantastic local business to have so close to downtown Schenectady!

The salon is situated in a historic area of the city and is a gorgeous and relaxing environment.
