This a Survivalist class and its been a great hands on experience for my son. They've learned how to make knots and how to apply the skill in an emergency shelter building exercise. The museum is a fun hands on interactive environment , and the trails are open all year around for use. This is a series of classes available and supported through the 4-H program by the Cornell extension programs. The teacher is very inclusive and friendly. Thank you Ms. N

Beautiful. Great for people who enjoy walking nature trails. The fields are green. There is a seasonal stream, and a year-round pond. We saw hundreds of tiny frogs that we initially thought were crickets. The hill to begin with is a steep one, but even if you decide not to go down the hill to the many walking trails, the view from the top of the hill on a sunny spring day offers the feel from The Sound of Music. There is also a visitors’ center, but I have always walked around it to get to the trails. The top of the big hill also has grills and picnic tables for use. This facility is run by Cornell Cooperative Extension.

Omg look how beautiful the park is.! Peace and quiet. Nice place to meditate. Bring a mat and do your yoga moves. There's some frogs to watch in the lake.

Really enjoyed the trails and views here. Geocaching brought us here. The dogs enjoyed the adventure with us.

Big & Spacious. Mowed paths & trails. A few picnic tables & benches provided. Also you can take your dog. Better yet it is free! No cost. ( I am sure they would except donations) About 3 miles out from Oakdale Mall.

We went on a Spring Walk. The volunteers were amazing and great with my daughter. We learned a lot about birds and other wild life. It is a great hike to go on your own, we will be returning on our own.

This is a fantastic place to learn about nature... We try to have my daughter attend all of their monthly "classes" ($3/pp!) and yesterday's compass class was great! Not only did she learn about how to *properly* use a compass but she thoroughly enjoyed the games designed to make using the compass fun - We highly recommend it!

The Finch Hollow Nature Center is a great place for people of all places, however one thing that is great is that the physical center itself has museum interpretation geared towards kids. My kids always ask to go inside before we hit the trails. In back there is a meadow and a forest ecosystem, as well as a small pond, which is currently flooded. I would recommend insect repellent.

It's a wonderful place for school aged children (6-12), to learn about the nature surrounding them. It's a "hands on" museum and kids love it!!
