My wife and I stopped in today, between appointments. We will be visiting again soon. There were wonderful books. Wonderful prints, writing instruments, great displays, wonderful conversation and great music singing and dancing. Really, not kidding.
Only bought one thing this time, but this is a destination store for us now.

Such care in every detail! If you’re looking for a gift (for yourself or someone else) THIS is the place! Framing? Some of the best work I’ve seen! Come here for the experts in the craft! The best gift and frame shop I've ever encountered. Very friendly staff who will spend as much time as is needed to make sure you are very happy with your purchase. Support local businesses makes for a more vibrant downtown Geneva and Finger Lakes region.

I am perpetually broke, so my impression of Stomping Grounds was based on my husband’s report when he went in two years ago expecting to find computer science textbooks: “They didn’t have coffee and the books were old.” One of my customers turned me on to the owner’s (terrific) podcast, so while I was downtown running errands, I decided to check it out for myself. WHAT AN INCREDIBLE PLACE! Not only is there a wonderfully curated collection of books, but there is an amazing selection of gifty items that are very different and smart. The ambiance is like the living room of an eccentric professor with great taste. If you have a cool aunt or are a cool aunt, this place is for you. And if my husband doesn’t get me a gift certificate to here for Valentine’s Day, it may be stomping grounds for divorce.

Really great bookstore, and all sorts of other fun stuff, gifts, and goodies. Some great rare books and new ones also. The owner Bethany was really friendly and very helpful and I certainly plan on going back there again sometime soon! Definitely should be on your list of stops if you’re in Geneva.

Such a cute little shop for unique gifts and books. Prices are reasonable- I feel like you’d pay twice as much in a larger city. This was my favorite stop on a short trip to Geneva.

Rare find for Rare books! Wonderful store to take your time and browse in. If you've been wanting a classic, rare book, or a special edition of your favorite book, you must stop here. A few beautiful modern printing gilded editions of classics like Sonnets of Shakespeare, Great Gatsby, Pride & Prejudice, Dracula, etc. and then vintage books arranged by subject. Hand made cards & gifts, art. Well thought out and presented. Don't visit Geneva without stopping by.

Wow! What a gem. Books, puzzles, cards, notebooks, various gift items and a professional frame shop to boot. Every town/city should have a place like this.

This shop is simply wonderful! The shop owner was so lovely in helping find a print in the perfect size and also helped educate me on proper storage conditions so peices would not fade:)

Stomping Grounds is also a custom frame shop, I have previously ordered 2 framed photographs that were carefully packaged and shipped. It is clear that the owner takes pride in her store and the services that it offers.

Very fun bookstore/ giftshop with both new and used books. Great bargains on used books. Friendly proprietor! Lovely browsing!

Hands down the best place to find rare books and wonderfully unique new reads and gifts. I have had many pieces framed at this shoppe and I have loved them all so much! From my one of a kind pricey art to my priceless art (by my grandson) they gave each piece the same expert care and the results were amazing. The staff is always available if you need help. It is a must go if you are in The Finger Lakes!

Quite a unique place to shop, they have something for everyone! Both new and old books, interesting finds you won't find anywhere else in the area, as well as a multitude of historic maps.
