Amalfis Kitchen & Bar

I wrote a 5 star review on OpenTable but the pictures of the food wouldn't upload so I'm posting them here!

I had to find a place that was in the middle from me and my sister’s residence to meet half way to celebrate her Birthday, so google came to the rescue in finding an awesome Italian Restaurant named Amalfi’s Kitchen & Bar, 146 Lawrenceville Pennington Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648
I walked in the restaurant and it was very roomy. Large bar, the tables were high end with the ambiance very welcoming, over all a gorgeous place! I chose this place because it had beautiful outdoor seating. (But unfortunately it was a little cool to eat outside). So to start off, we had an awesome waiter named Michael. We started off by ordering two French Martini’s. (Vanilla vodka, Chambord, pineapple juice)
OMG they were DELICIOUS!!!!! Then Michael gave us some bread, classic hard crust Italian bread with the most delicious dipping oil. We ordered the Spinach Artichoke Dip for starters which was DELICIOUS!! and also the Agrodolce Calamari which was not a hit with me, A little too chewy. So soup comes with the meal and we ordered Potato soup, very good and I got the Italian Wedding Soup, delicious!! Nice fresh chicken broth with Mirepoix and mini meatballs. So Goooood! Our main entrees were Pear & Prosciutto Salad, fresh & tasty. The chicken on top could have had a little more seasoning. But overall delicious. My other sister ordered Chicken Tartufo. That was good as well. I ordered the Pan Roasted Salmon, cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, creamy mashed Yukon Gold potatoes, and the spinach was Soooo delicious!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was very impressed with Amalfi’s and the prices were very reasonable. . I recommend this restaurant, it’s worth every penny.

Stopped by on a whim after hiking the LHT nearby. Was surprised how good the food was. The only reason I took off one ⭐ is the booth was unfortunately a little off. The booth seats were comfy but the table is so far away! Service was great and one other thing I would look forward to seeing more of next time is to stop serving plastic straws...paper or none at all would be great. The towel dispenser was broken in the bathroom too. But the soup and the pizza were excellent 👌

Great service, atmosphere and fellowship. Menu is diverse, with a strong variety of dishes to choose from at a fair price. Love the choices of their signature pizza menu, however I’m more of a thin crust pizza eater otherwise I’d give the food for flavor and value a five too! Go and enjoy.

Was pleasantly surprised today when we visited Amalfi for lunch. The reviews were up and down in Google but I noticed the sincere responses from the management so I decided to give it a try. We had reservation so we got seated pretty quick. Our server was very attentive and had great recommendations especially the cabarnet that he asked me to try. My friend got the margarita and my husband got the old fashioned and both were very good.
They served complimentary fresh bread with an amazing olive oil dip. I ordered the lobster ravioli with was a perfect lunch portion and the sauce was to die for with a few jumbo shrimp on top. The salmon and the chicken dish (see picture) was also very delicious. Highly recommended.

We had reservation for 8 people so we got to dine in on a nice fancy big table. They served complimentary fresh bread with an amazing olive oil dip. We ordered bruschetta , arancini and agrodolche calamari for appetizers. For main course we ordered sesame crusted salmon, penne vodka, eggplant parm.
Service was excellent. Kudos to our server ( CJ).

They have ample of parking in the front.

Our first time here. Mother's Day Brunch. The food was very good. So many choices. The wait staff were very friendly and courteous. We will definitely go back for dinner or lunch.

The artisan pizza I had for lunch was amazing, I had gone to Italy for my 50th birthday and was very spoiled with the pizza there. I was on a mission for 2 plus years to find something similar. They have met my expectations above and beyond with theirs. When I was there to pick up my pizza the bread was fresh out of the oven and smelled so good. I can't wait to go back and try more.

We were a party of 11 for the Easter brunch at 10 a.m. (in 2024). We had a wonderful time. From the first greeting by the host/hostess, to the servers, and the buffet workers, to the good bye ~ everyone we dealt with was pleasant and professional.
The food selection was varied, delicious, plentiful, and temperature appropriate. Matt, our server, kept on top of monitoring our drinks; mimosas, coffee, soda etc., empty plates were taken away and now, thank you for making our Easter brunch a wonderful family gathering.
We could not have been more pleased to come to Amalfi's, our first visit, but definitely not our last.
The ONLY negative was it was a bit chilly in the room.
I'm sure for the next seating it was a little warmer.

A bit more fancy than average bar which makes going out even more pleasant. Food was delicious so as drinks. Definitely coming back again👌

I live out of state and this is a must visit restaurant every time I visit my family. The food is delicious, the service is top notch, and the atmosphere is just what every family needs for a great night out!
There has not been a time in the last 5 years that we have not come to Amalfis for dinner every time I visit! Love this restaurant, always look forward to eating here!

Great food and service. This has become a local spot for my husband and I. Everyone that works here is really nice and the food is great. In the summer it is wonderful to sit outside and enjoy some apps and drinks. This is a great local spot to try out!

I’m very happy I picked my New Year’s Eve at amalfis chef table , they have a New York chef who made amazing food , and I was thrilled from every course that came to the table , also the owners know what they doing , the servers as well , everything was perfect from beginning to the end …I would love to come for this kinda food every week, because what me and my table had for dinner yesterday I didn’t see in New Jersey’.

The food was amazing! Pizza, Brussel sprouts, and potato soup. Everyone was nice. We're from PA. and just happened we were in the area. We're coming back just for Amalfi's this time.

We absolutely love this place and have been coming here for years! Friendly staff, great atmosphere, delicious food and drinks…what more could you ask for? HIGHLY recommend checking this place out!

Well I must say Amalfi’s Kitchen & Bar is the complete package! First - the martinis! The martini glass is on steroids compared to others we have sampled. Their mixology skills are masterful making you feel instantly pleased that you are there. The chocolate martini was definitely one of the best I've ever had. My husband and I came for the Easter buffet dinner which was practically everything on their menu. We both sampled a small portion of approximately ten items and each bite was better than the one before. Honestly you would certainly think that something would be average or not to our liking but that WAS NOT THE CASE. Everything was absolutely delicious! Highlights were the Nonna’s meatballs, carrots, caesar salad, vodka rigatoni, bruschetta, cajun chicken fredo, pan roasted salmon, and the chicken tartufo.
As we were wrapping up our delightful culinary experience with an array of mini desserts, two young gentlemen visited our table to inquire how our meal was. They were the manager and the chef, who are brothers. Well we were absolutely gushing over how magnificent everything was including our waitress who was super sweet and provided exceptional service. You must give Amalfi's a try, you will be delighted you did!

Good pizza last time out for dinner service wasn't up to par, but overall top notch spot also some of the best round slice bread i have had since Colonial bakery in the burg.

Food was outstanding and so was the service! Our waitress’s name was Ally! Highly recommend!!!

This was a recommendation from a friend that was in the area. I thought the servers were good. The bread was fantastic. The pizzas are 6 slices and very good. We ordered one as appetizer and one for the kids to share.

The rest of the dishes were good, service was good.

Note: they have a kids menu but we had to explicitly ask for it. Also, we ended up getting pizza so didn't order off the kids menu.

And to think, I've lived in NJ all my life and never knew about this restaurant. The food, service and atmosphere was absoluately on point. My compliments to the chef🥂keep up the great job!
