Excellent restaurant near downtown Pennington. Everything is good. Oysters were fresh. Interesting take on scallops which I enjoyed, sort of like a scallop-bake. Branzino was nice. I wish the grilled Caesar was served in a cold plate, but that's my only nitpick! I love having this place in town.

The food was so good I didn’t have time to take a pic! Got the crispy chicken, on the small plate menu. Flavor was amazing! The smashed potatoes were the perfect amount of crunchy! And the creme brulee was perfection! Happy hour is 4-6, food and drinks half off. If you’re more on a budget go then!!

We are visiting Pennington NJ and it's hard to find great food! This is the place to visit!
Beautiful restaurant and amazing food! We ordered take out for our daughter who is expecting a new baby any day now and decided to have dinner in house. The food was amazing, fine dining. Beautiful bar area.
You will be pleasantly surprised that such a gem sits off Route 31.

Much better to sit at the low top tables. The food is just unbeatable in the area, so fresh and generally seasonal/locally-sourced. Bartender is a true mixologist coming up with creative ways to add a little flavor to cocktails without overly sweet drinks. This time I went for the duck in a hint of blackberry jus and carrots. Imagine me giving a chef's kiss. My husband was beyond ecstatic with his steak, a dish he often orders. It was perfectly cooked and the beat he has had in about a year. Only one hiccup in service, as they forgot a side, but we saw the manager fire it (and term for expediting it) and were no worse for the while.

Yummy food and lovely ambiance. My fave part was the staff. So nice and calm. Me and some friends loved it too much and overstayed and they were nice about it ⭐🤍big shout to Camila, our waitress. Tip: order the 'Smoke and mirrors' for a smoky cocktail. Loved it!

Amazing Steaks and Craft Cocktails!

My wife and I made a reservation for 7:30 PM on a Sunday night. The dining room and bar were partially full, but it was not the madhouse that I had expected. The ambience was romantic with a dimly-lit atmosphere, fresh flowers, and pin spot lighting projected down to each table.

The beverages program was exceptional. The Oaxaca Smash (mezcal, chai-infused red vermouth, fresh lime juice, agave, and muddled fresh ginger) was tasty and incredibly well-balanced. The Fuyu Martini (vodka, lychee liqueur, St. George spiced pear liqueur, and lavender bitters) - garnished with a fresh flower - was a well-balanced and delicious journey to the Orient. To accompany the steak dinners, we enjoyed glasses of the Californian Treana Cabernet Sauvignon. The glassware, presentation of the wine, and taste were superlative.

On the food side, as an appetizer I enjoyed the Beet Carpaccio, a visually enticing and tasty medley of red and gold beets, radicchio salad, and spiced cashews. The filet mignon, ordered medium, was perfect, and served with horseradish crème fraiche and an artsy scalloped potato. My wife's Rib Eye Steak also scored high points for taste and visual presentation. The culinary journey continued on with a delicious fudge brownie and Irish coffee.

Our waitress, Tracy, was knowledgeable, attentive, and paced the service appropriately so that we could enjoy our experience.

All-in-all, BORO exceeded my expectations, and I rate my experience as a perfect 5 of 5. Everything was exceptional!

The venue also offers private party opportunities. One of our DJ company clients is having their engagement party at BORO this June.

Given that the space is not large, I highly recommend making a reservation. To maximize your experience, you may also want to dine at an off-peak time.

I love the vibe at Boro. We visited on a busy Friday night but still received top notch service. Everything we ordered was delicious. The tuna tartar, grilled romaine and halibut are my favorites. I can’t wait to go back.

Hands down my favorite place in the area! By far beats out the competition in Princeton in terms of ambiance, food and cocktail quality. It's kind of random that it's placed in a shopping center off of Rt 33 however restaurant space is hard to come by these days. Owner is always present and welcoming. Overall it is on the higher end side of dining budgets but worth it.

We had dinner for New Years Eve! First time eating in the restaurant and the food was fantastic! Our server Gabby was one of the best servers I’ve had in a long time! She was knowledgeable, professional and just on point with everything! I’m retired from sales and I love a good server that can convey the highlights of a menu in detail! Gabby was the best! We will be back not just for the food but for Gabbys recommendations!!

Service here is top notch! Mary at the counter graciously fixed a problem I had with an earlier takeout. I shared my feedback with her about a burnt grilled cheese sandwich from the previous day. Mary offered to make it right by providing me a new sandwich. The Turkey Club Panini was done superbly and grilled just enough! Fresh avocado and just enough garlic aioli pairing well with the bacon, turkey, lettuce and tomato in just the right ratios. I was a brand new customer, but I will certainly be back after that yummy sandwich and the responsive service!!!

Had an outstanding experience at Boro Restaurant! The staff provided top-notch service. The food was exceptional, and we were pleasantly surprised to spot Santa, adding a festive touch to our visit. Definitely a 5-star dining experience!

Such a nice meal! The holiday atmosphere and visit from Santa were the icing on the cake.

I went out with a friend last night and both of us couldn't be more satisfied. Our server, Tracy, was an absolute delight. She was prompt, polite, professional and above all, knowledgeable. Ben (who I later found out, is the owner) was a gentleman and helped us get a better table when we first arrived.

As for the food, impeccable. It was way above the quality I was expecting from anywhere in Pennington or Hopewell Valley. This is exactly the standard and dining experience that the area desperately needs. I'm so glad I decided to come here. I did make a reservation, because I figured it would be crowded on a Friday night. And it was, which ended up being a good sign.

Most of what we ordered were the evening's specials. I typically don't order special items off menus, but they sounded too good to not to try them. The calamari we ordered was a spicier version of what they normally serve. It was prepared exactly how it should, light and crisp. I love spicy food, so It's very rare whenever I consider most food "hot". But for the average person, I would say this had a noticeable amount of heat.

My friend ordered the brisket burger with the truffle fries (accompanied with dijonnaise). She told me it was delicious. Meanwhile, I had a three cheese ravioli with what they described as an apple cider reduction with mushrooms and duck prosciutto. I'm happy to report that the flavor combination was excellent. Again, I would never think I'd have food of this caliber in this area. I was thoroughly impressed.

For dessert, we split a piece of carrot cake and paired it with a dessert port. We were explicitly instructed to take a bite of the cake first and then sip the port in order to achieve the intended flavor combination. It was outstanding. Thanks again, to Tracy for her guidance and expertise.

All in all, I'm beyond satisfied. Keep in mind that their lunch offerings are an entirely different experience from what I'm told. Dinner was absolutely superb. Do yourself a favor and pay this establishment a visit as soon as possible.

Our favorite fine dining in the area. Each course features delightful dishes further enhanced with a strong specialty drinks and wine list. The ambiance and service are extraordinary. We enjoyed a birthday dinner there that was very special.

I went there for a group luncheon and the atmosphere was amazing! The food was delicious and they had the most tasty signature cocktails! I would highly recommend to anyone!

Went last night for my birthday. Food was amazing. I have ate dinner at a lot of famous chef restaurants, and this is right up there with them. Service and drinks impeccable.

Wonderful food, great service and lovely ambiance. The roasted brussel sprouts and potatoes are the best you could get anywhere. The flavors are complex and refined attesting the competence of the chef!
