We Wan Chu Cottages

Wow! What an amazing place to stay. This place is everything you want for a wonderful family vacation especially if you enjoy being a lake Chautauqua as we do. The cottages were clean and absolutely wonderful. It's quiet and relaxing. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub, which again was very clean and simpley relaxing. The owner, Peter, was welcoming and made everything from the reservation process through to check out so easy. I can't say enough great things.

Our family has been coming to WeWanChu Cottages for 35 yrs.
This year was exceptional. Our group numbers 30-40, 3 generations. The facilities were in good condition. Improvements have been made to many of the cottages this season. Owner Peter and his staff Dave, John, Ann and Brandi were attentive to all our needs and requests. Cottage were immaculate. Indoor pool is a nice feature, in addition to beach, volleyball area, and basketball court. Great fishing right off the dock. Our family rents a fishing boat yearly, and Pete’s fleet of rentals are well maintained. This is an excellent choice for a family lakeside vacation.

Very friendly and welcoming place. Clean, good heater.Awesome Salt Water pool and spa. Great grounds keepers!! David was especially helpful, and gave us great fishing info. Peter was the best host possible !! Had a FANTASTIC stay !!

Just came back from our 11th straight season with We Want Chu. My buddies and I do a fishing trip every fall. There is no place like this around here where you can stay in a cottage and rent a boat. Chautauqua Lake is a great lake to fish and you can get out almost any day because its sheltered from the wind . The pool and Spa are spotless and the temperature is perfect after a day of fishing on Chautauqua Lake.
Peter has always went out of his way to make our stay comfortable. I challenge you to find anything as reasonable as this within 200 miles or more.

What an awesome place to stay. Whether it is for family gathering or fishing trip, you won't be disappointed. The indoor pool and hot tub is a great addition. We rent out the large house and always have a great time. The service is great. Staff is personable.

We had a very nice time during our stay at We Wan Chu Cottages. I am wheelchair bound and rented one of their accessible townhomes right on the lake. There was a beautiful view of the lake and the Miller Bell Tower in the distance right from our deck. They have an indoor saltwater pool that also has a lift for those in a wheelchair that my kids really enjoyed. The only negative was my older son brought his own car and was warned about speeding (Rightfully So!) which is good they keep a close eye on things and make sure it is family friendly.

3rd year working here setting up for the season with Pete. In the process of updating the flooring in the cabins and condos. Just posted the pics of the new flooring in C4. Great place to fish and have fun. Awsome summer get away. Very friendly atmosphere and laid back lake living.

My family has been coming to Wewanchu for over 20 years every Labor Day Weekend. Peter and his crew are so relaxed and friendly - the grounds are always well cared for, the cabins clean, and the atmosphere perfect. We look forward to our next 20 years!

Rented a boat from We Wan Chu for the week. The owner is a great guy, very funny and super informative. They take the time to go through everything with you when you're learning the equipment and make sure you're safe with everything you do. Will definitely be back for at least another boat rental if not a stay at the great looking sites they offer.

We have been staying in a We Wan Chu cottage for over 7 years every August and it is always a wonderful experience. The chalet is comfortable and always clean. The reservation process is easy and the owners are "fabulous". We will continue to make this a part of our Chautauqua visit for years to come.

I have stayed at many resorts around Lake Chautauqua We Wan Chu is the best . My wife and 7 year old son as well as myself cannot wait to return next year. This year was the best year ever 2018 great fishing great weather fantastic people

Great rustic get away. My grand children loved the freedom there. Owner is on site and extremely personable! Definitely will be a yearly booking for the kids! Fairly priced.

Great place to stay and fish.Very nice people helpful and friendly .close to town and most importantly quite. We had a great time and caught lots of fish!!!!

I recently had the pleasure of meeting Peter Wiemer when I purchased one of his used
rental outboards. I was greatly impressed with his thorough and thoughtful run thru of
the use and care of the motor. It was a great transaction and I would gladly do it again.

Having had the opportunity to look over the property while I was there, I believe I will become
a cottage rental customer in the near future, perhaps a fishing outing with my sons.

We rented a pontoon boat on 8/17/15 and our experience with all aspects of the rental were exceptionally good. Everyone was very friendly and informative, covering all aspects of the boat and it's operation well.

Outstanding location, great accommodations and always fun to see and hear about the sasquatch stuff! We rent chalets off the main site and they are secluded and serene. They have everything you could want. Highly recommended.

Family had a wonderful vacation. Want to go back soon. We stayed in the house for 16 people, couches are for two people each but they were too small, but kids didn't mind.

An amazing place to take your family

Ww came for the Bigfoot Conference. Peter is a wonderful host! We had the best time!!. The are is friendly. Ill come again when the Covid expecatioons are clear.
