Hertz Car Rental - Hoboken - Willow Avenue HLE

Always extremely helpful/courteous staff, decent prices and smooth pick up and drop off. You can leave the car, drop the key in the dropbox the night before your reservation is over so you don't have to deal with it in the morning. Wish they were open for a few hours on Sunday but at least they are open Saturday. Good car selection too!

Long wait due to covid. Plan accordingly. Make your reservation ahead of time.

Hertz is probably understaffed because staff were overwhelmed with work but they are absolute professionals.

11/10 for their attitude. They went beyond their working hours (happily) to help an elderly person who needed help to figure out pick and drop off location.

(only 2 working when I went there). They were extremely courteous and helpful.

I'd like to share a great experience I had at hertz recently, I went to rent a car at this location, I mentioned to the employee on duty there (Rameem) that I wanted to return after hours, which they said would result in an extra few days charges so he set me up to return at a nearby location.

On the day I was to return I was running late and forgot to put gas in the car, I asked the guy there what were my options and he told me I had a 29 minute grace period, so it would be much better to go get gas quickly and come back and he gave me the closest gas station to get to, I had 15 mins to go get gas and get back so I started running back to the car. Rameem ended up doing overtime at this location, saw me running and asked what's wrong, I told him and he said, that gas Station is always crowded but I know the guy that works there let me tell him to hold a pump for you because you don't have time to wait, I got there and sure enough there was a line but the attendant was holding a pump for me!! I got gas and made it back with three minutes to spare!!

In a world where most people live like they hate their job it's super refreshing to have people go above and beyond like that, from Rameem to the other gentlemen that worked that day they were all super accommodating and friendly so I had to let everyone reading this know, Rameem saved me money when I picked up the car, and on the return, definitely would recommend this location if you're in the area.

Almost always a very quick experience, friendly staff, and a pretty decent choice of cars for a smaller location. Compared to the other 2 large rental companies in Hoboken, this is by far the best one in my experience... and I go through phases of renting almost weekly for work.

I had a great experience. I definitely would like to give an amazing shoutout to Cassandra that helped me through the whole entire process. Cassandra customer service skills was outstanding. I will also choose this location in Hoboken because the customer service was amazing. Great experience so this location gets 5 Stars from me. I rented a Kia Soul from this Hertz. The first day of our trip, we got a flat tire. We had it replaced and paid the expense. Upon return, and without their insurance (we have our own), the manager of the facility was so helpful and sweet. He reimbursed us for the tire plus gave us a $35 dollar credit as well for the inconvenience. I thought it was unlikely that we'd be reimbursed without having taken their insurance. It was very kind of them. Will definitely rent here again!

I reserved for Hyundai Santa Fe but the car wasn't available.Instead I took Kia Grand Sedona which they offered as options.
The car was in good condition.
Service was great and easy.
I would rent from them again next time I visit Jersey.

I had a change in travel plans and ended up driving from Orlando to Hoboken. After struggling with four different customer service people on the 1-800 number, I was so relieved to meet Cassandra Helenek at the Hoboken location. She was welcoming, friendly, and most-importantly, helpful! She explained everything to me that not one single person on the phone could. I decided that from this point on, if I ever need a rental, she will be my go-to person. It's rare in this day and age to find a person working with the public who doesn't make you feel like you are bothering them. She was the best service associate I've encountered in ANY business as of late. Thanks for making things smooth, simple, and pleasant!

My husband and I are Hertz Gold members and regularly rent from Hertz around the country and internationally, as they have great pricing and loyalty perks. Hertz Hoboken is our local rental car provider and I would like to endorse Jack for his exemplary customer service. His professional and friendly demeanor and ability to quickly and helpfully respond to the questions I had about our rental agreement and final bill made him a pleasure to work with. I rented a car to go to some places in NJ in 2016. The service was great everything was hassle-free. There's a gas station nearby to fill your tank when returning the car.

Easy to find, check the car out and check it back in. The car was clean and already had a full tank. Space enough for social distancing while waiting during the time I went.
