It is an excellent Indian restaurant in Edgewater. Food was tasty with original Indian flavor. We ordered Pakoras, Chicken Biryani and Butter Chicken. High recommended and we are going to have food again soon definitely 👍🏼

Food is very good, North Indian menu is good, they should add lunch platters or thali.Masala tea is awesome. Aaloo parantha is good too.

Oh man I loved this place! The food is delicious. It's a great fusion of Indian and Himilayan. The garlic naan is divine! A definite must try! I also tried the shrimp fried rice, it wasn't too dry or overly cooked. The lamb korma is another one of their popular dishes and I got to say it's a hit! The meat was so tender and delicious, the curry sauce goes great with the naan.

So I was reading on Yelp and other Google reviews to try the chicken Momo's. It takes about 20 minutes to make because they're made by hand and done fresh. I think it was worth the wait, its like a dumpling but the inside is nicely packed with enough meat and herbs. Such a great gem hidden in Edgewater. If you're in the area this is the place to go! They also have a lot of vegetarian options which is nice.

Its also BYOB! They gave us an ice bucket for our wine and uncorked it. The service is phenomenal and the waitress was so attentive. She clearly explained each dish that we had questions about and gave really good recommendations on what to eat. Coming back here again for sure!

Went with a group of 10. With larger groups you often have to wait longer for your food but not here service was prompt and the food was excellent. Lots of garlic in the garlic naan. Best samosas I've ever had warm, firm dough with tender filling, just a hint of the spice. Lamb vindaloo had a nice thick sauce with a fair spice that kicked in going down. Meat was tender and cooked to perfection. Potatoes as well. The rice was nice & fluffy, not sticky at all. Reasonable prices too. Will definitely be back.

The food, the service, the quality, the atmosphere, the music, everything about this place was nothing less than phenomenal. This was my first time here and it did not disappoint.
We ordered the Chicken Choila as an appetizer. It came out fairly quickly; hot and full of flavor. As our main dish we ordered the Goat Curry, Shrimp Curry (which both came with rice), and the Garlic Naan. Everything was packed with flavor and left me and my girlfriend talking about it the whole night!
Arjay and Ajena (sorry if I butchered your name) were excellent and made sure our food came out hot and to our liking. They made sure we had an amazing experience! I definitely recommend this place to everyone..

Ordered takeout and we loved each of the four dishes that we tried. Very flavorful sauces and tender meat. I would gladly eat any of them again, especially the goat curry which was exceptional. This will be our regular option for Indian food.

My wife and I have passed down River Road in Edgewater countless of times, on our way to Mitswua or Edgewater Cinema and we’ve never noticed this place called Namaste. Well allow me to say that it’s a shame we’ve never been there before, because this place is amazing, the service is fantastic, and the dining is superb. I am so glad that Groupon is around to show us these tasty gems.
I’ll start by explaining in detail yesterday’s dining experience.

We were served by Anchal and Arjun. The two friendliest and cordial folks we’ve ever met. They made us feel welcomed.

Appetizers, my wife and I ordered the Chicken Lollipops in Nepali sauce. This appetizer was more than enough for two folks, it was extremely tasty and well presented.

For drinks I got me a Mango Lassi, my wife on the other hand opted for a more common drink a Sprite on the rocks lol.

For entrees, we decided on Lamb Korma and Shrimp Saag, with garlic nan and onion kulcha. The entrees were huge portions.
The Lamb was so tender and juicy. The Korma sauce was perfect, not too spicy and not under spicy either. Shrimp Saag was delectable, with the creamy spinach Saag sauce. I love the fact that they remove the shell from the Shrimp’s tail, a nice touch!

After we finished our meal I wanted to purchase and extra rice to take home with our leftover meals (they were plenty of leftover), Anchal offered to give us a side order of rice for free, and she offered to give us a free Kheer (a sweet delicious rice pudding). When we got home we noticed that we did not have our extra side rice, but we did see the Kheer, it doesn’t matter as the Kheer made up for it.

We will most definitely come back again and enjoy more of Anchal’s and Arjun’s excellent service and superior food.

Simply amazing. Some of the best Indian food I've ever had. The flavors are balanced perfectly, the complimentary dishes are delicious, and the staff is extremely accommodating and friendly. We asked the coffee to be stronger and a new cup came right out. Prices are very reasonable. For this quality, I'd expect them to be double honestly. You won't be disappointed. Another "hidden" gem. Get the gobi and chaat starters!

Wonderful staff, the waiter explained everything dish we asked about and made some very good recommendation. Food was sooo good and fresh.

Traditional Indian food with its authenticity maintained.

Tried their goat curry and vindaloo few times. Tastes superb and portion sizes are good. Be careful with the spice level because spicy is not for everyone. Also tried their shrimp rangoon which is more on the sweeter side but very good. Malai kofta is okay, I have had better elsewhere. Definitely recommend their non vegetarian entrees.

Very good place for Indian food. We ordered Chicken Biryani & Paneer Tikka. Both the dishes were well prepared. The service was quick as well. The ambience is mellow and feels cozy.

These guys always end up doing a great job whenever I order takeout. The spice level is catered to your liking and the price is very reasonable. I will definitely continue to order from this restaurant in the near future.

One of the best Indian restaurants I’ve ever been to. Edgewater needs a place like this. The food is always fresh and tasty. I imagine from some of the bad reviews that maybe you were here and the staff was off or absent. Give this food a try! Take-out can be tough sometimes. Stay for a meal. If you are unhappy with something, be considerate and let the manager know, but airing your high-expectations into a low-rating makes no sense to me. I’ve been to this place a dozen times and never had something turned into a big deal here. If your bread came out burnt, send it back!!!! 🙄 we can’t afford to lose another great restaurant because something didn’t meet your expectations! IMHO

We tried momo and goat curry. Taste was good. Good Nepali and Indian food!

Delicious food ! Love the location and the fact finding parking is easy. Staff is super Friendly and efficient. Their lunch buffet is very good. I took my mom there to have some appetizers and tea since we were on our way to the airport and I wanted her to try the samosa chaat. It was during the lunch buffet hours , I called to ask if they would make an exception and they gladly did. Excellent service.

Lamb and shrimp entre were perfect. Yummy rice and nan bread....I want to go back often.

Great food. Lovely, attentive service. Pleasant decor and music. Nice to have a local spot that is BYOB. Have been coming here for over a year and the food has been consistently good. The "flat bread" and dips that are served when seated are tasty. Delicious garlic naan. Their lamb is well seasoned; it is hard to come by such a wonderful blend of spices. Have tried other bean, rice and eggplant dishes; all nicely flavored and a pleasure to eat. -- A note: When I was in months and months ago, the service was as if we were in the Himalayan mountains, very laid back and slow. It didn't bother me so much because the food is amazing and the staff was kind. Seems as if management has paid attention to previous reviews because the staff is much more attentive.
