Alex did an AMAZING job with my haircut. She talked with me and made sure she really understood what I wanted. I’ve been wanting this haircut for YEARS but no other stylist was understanding what I wanted. I haven’t felt pretty in a long long time. After my appointment today I felt BEAUTIFUL!

Alex is the best. I have very thick course hair and she always makes my hair look amazing! She has been doing my hair for over 15 years. Pin up is a great and attentive crew.

I’ve been considering finding a stylist that can work well with curls but I’ve never committed. I am so glad I waited until the stars aligned for me to meet Alex. Alex truly took her time listening and understanding my routine, issues, ideas, likes, and dislikes. I wanted a professional that would work with my curls so that I don’t have to fuss with them as much and she heard me and delivered.

Very laid back, yet professional stylists and environment, my daughters and I love coming here!

ALL of the stylists here are incredibly talented, knowledgeable, personable and professionals. I have seen Shaunie for razors shags, Rachel and Nicole for both natural and fashion color services and Alex is an all around Hair Goddess that can teach you anything you want to know about hair! I cannot recommend these ladies enough and I have never had anything less than a great experience here

Alex is absolutely amazing. She knows exactly how to tame my out of control waves. I can just wash and go without worry because I'll know it will dry amazingly because of the haircut. I'm amazed that I can be so vague about what I want and yet she gets my hair exactly like I want it. And she's super friendly. I find the pricing to be reasonable considering the amount of skill these stylists have. The salon is clean and decorated nicely. There were proper steps taken to ensure the safety of everyone due to covid19 and I felt completely safe.

Really wonderful experience! Very welcoming environment with stylists who really care and listen. Shaunie made me feel comfortable and understood and I couldn’t be happier with my hair. Along with the stylists’ talent and warmth, the salon itself is super clean and fun. Loved Bowie the sweet dog too. Thank you!

I always recommend Pin Up to friends! I have curly hair and never really had a great hair cut before my first cut with Alex about 8 years ago. From then on there was no way I was going anywhere else! Great atmosphere, convenient online booking, and extremely skilled stylists. Not to mention there’s the ever so cute shop dog, Bowie.

Nicolette Peach has been cutting my hair for about 6 months now, and she is hands down the best sylest I have ever had. She isn't afraid to be adventurous! In fact, everyone who works here is so warm and welcoming --I've always felt a bit out of place when I went to other stylist but I feel right at home at pin up! Thank you for all that you do. Highly recommended.

Girls are great and very attentive. They listened well to both my daughter and I as we struggled though and tried to describe what we wanted. Nothing felt rushed and the atmosphere was very easy going. Got exactly what we wanted for our hair cuts.

The free trim three weeks later are great as well.

First time at the salon and will be going back! Nicole is amazing and is some kind of hair magician lol! I showed her a pic of what I had in mind and she absolutely nailed it...I feel like my hair came out better than the pic! You will not be disappointed, I can't recommend this place enough.

I recently visited Pin Up Hair Salon and I cannot express enough how wonderful Alex is! She made me feel right at home and listened to every detail I told her about my hair and what I wanted. Huge fan. This was my first salon visit in five years, i swore off them after a series of haircuts that did NOT work with the very curly textured hair i have. My hairdresser Shaunie was so confident and knowledgeable of curly hair and how it falls, she gave me something that I’m not intimidated to replicate everyday, and that I’m really excited to learn how to style even more. Additionally, their website was FAST and so easy to use, i booked a same day appointment via the square appointment system they have set up that works like a charm. You can see availability, and schedule as soon as two hours out. The hairdressers have bios and info readily available in the appointment making process. All good vibes from this place. Friendly, casual, aesthetically pleasing, unique options, and diverse portfolios from the hairdressers. These people are experienced AND cool. I could ramble on, but overall I’m excited for my next appointment and I’ll keep coming back. Bless up pin up!

I’ve been going to Pin Up for a few years now and service is top notch. I use to get my hair done in Portsmouth but my stylists staff went down hill and a bunch of my appointment times got messed up. I had to draw the line somewhere as my time is important. Alex always makes time for me and does an excellent job whether it’s a haircut or wax. I love the vibe and the staff is welcoming and funny. They always have local art hanging on the walls and truly live up to their eco vibe. I always feel taken care of and never leave dissapointed. If you’re looking for a chill and dependable spot to get your hair did look no further! It also always smells amazing in there since they diffuse essential oils in the air. Also they got you if you need a good cup of tea! What are you waiting for?

Any change to your hair can be daunting, but the ladies at pin up are truly skilled at what they do and make you feel comfortable! Alex can help you figure out exactly what you want, even if you cant! Not sure with what to do with my hair, I had given up and let it grow out. After my first cut with Alex I knew I could have the short hairstyle I wanted again. Nicole did an amazing balayage on me that even months later & grown out looks great. Shaunie does my sisters hair and neither of us will go anywhere else. If you're looking for people you can trust with your hair look no further!

I am new to the area. And have EXTREMELY curly hair but love to leave my hair straight. Which can be a tricky thing to deal with. And I am not the easiest to please. I had sat with Nicolette and she talked with me to keep me at ease. LOVE LOVE LOVE my new hair cut. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

Absolutely amazing!!! I went today and got a scalp treatment for the first time and it was exceptional. Alex used a eucalyptus treatment which smelled amazing. The whole experience left my scalp and hair feeling invigorated. The head massage at the end was very relaxing and I would recommend this salon to anyone!

I’ve been going to Alex for years and just keep coming back for the uniquely stylish cuts and enjoyable conversation.
