Gent Cuts and Grooming

My experience was so good, they always keep everything’s clean and make the customer feel comfortable. Especially for Alina ayub, she always make sure that my hair is good!!, if you come to minneapolis and looking for cuts and grooming, this place is the answer 100% trusted.

I was visiting for a wedding and made an appointment here at Gent Cuts and Grooming. It’s not too hard to find, but is on the second floor of the US Bancorp building.
The haircut was excellent and the conversation was great. She has me looking sharp for the wedding. If I ever need another haircut in Minneapolis, this will be my stop!

Great location for getting a fresh cut. Complimentary hair wash and hot towel provided for an excellent experience. I liked it so much that I rented out the whole salon to get my groomsmen cuts (as well as myself) the day of my wedding. It is the only place I go for a cut now. Highly recommend.

I should of left a bigger tip.. the person who was cutting my hair kept taking more off till i achieved the look that i was going for. I was confused on how to get there at first but u just go in and take the elevator to 2nd floor then take two lefts and then just look on the right[beware no bathrooms] =]

I was walking the Skyway when I noticed Gents. I had been in need of a cut but very skeptical of just anyone cutting me. As a woman’s cut is just a tad bit dig from a man’s cut. I saw Galinda sitting in her chair so I doubled back to see if she was available and what can I say. She is very personable and nice. We just happened to be born and raised in SF. But besides that I was very excited about getting my cut. Let’s just say I’ll be returning while I’m in Minneapolis.

I have lived in MPLS for six months and have found my stylist! Caira and the staff at Gent Cuts are great. It is easy to schedule an appointment, the communication is always good, and Caira listens to you and gives you what you want when it comes to walking out of her salon feeling like you just got the exact haircut you were looking for. Caira has been my stylist for over three years now and I love her work. Great downtown location and wonderful people. Don’t see myself going anywhere else!

My kid has been getting his hair cut by Kaira for years. She has a great personality and does a great job cutting his hair. He’s always happy when he leaves. This is not a Great Clips or Barbershop type business that makes money on quantity. They take their time a provide a quality service, which the price reflects. If you want a cheap haircut this is not for you. Kaira’s talent is worth every penny

I have come to Gent for years and gotten cut by Caira. She does a great haircut, she’s fun, personable and makes for a great experience. I would highly recommend anyone who needs a mean fade to book with Caira

I have been getting my hair cut at Gents by Kaira since I moved to Minneapolis in the fall of 2018 and I have always left very happy with the results. I often change up what I want, and Kaira makes it look great no matter how vague I am in explaining what I am looking for. She is able to fade the sides however I ask, and styles the top so it always look good. The downtown location is super convenient and as long as I am in the area, I won't look anywhere else for such a great cut.

I have been getting my hair cut here regularly for over a year now and highly recommend it. I go to Lisa every time and she always does a fantastic job. She listens to what you want, and what I appreciate most is the time and attention to detail.

I scheduled an appointment with Manny. This young man knows what he is doing and takes pride in his work, like this is more than just a job to him. I felt appreciated, cared for and was incredibly satisfied with the end result. This is probably the first time I felt so satisfied with my haircut and my beard trim. He was able to work with my coarse black hair! I especially appreciate how he was able to make suggestions and collaborate on style ideas to create something masterful!

I'll be back for sure and plan to see Manny again!

Gent is doing an excellent job reopening in a tough situation. They have put in place many safety measures to help keep staff and customers safe. Carina, the stylist I see, is excellent at her job and an all around great person. This is a great place to get a haircut.

I've been going to GENT once a month for the past year and a half that I have lived here and can't say enough great things about it. When I went to book my first appointment online, I randomly selected Lisa based on her availabilities that day and I'm so glad I did - she is fantastic. I had been going to one of those discount haircut places and have not once been satisfied with the results. Lisa took the time to hear me out and come up with a style that was way more on trend than what I had been doing for years. The hot towel and wash are incredibly relaxing and sometimes she'd even wax my eyebrows which I honestly have always needed done but never would have thought to ask for. Going beyond Lisa's technical abilities, I have really enjoyed my conversations with her while getting my haircuts -- she's incredibly funny and kind. The skyway location is incredibly convenient to run over during a lunch break - and it's an awesome relaxing highlight to the middle of a workday. I'd highly recommend seeing Lisa at GENT for your next cut.

First haircut in a long time (years). Stylist (Lisa) did an outstanding job of listening to my needs, and matching them to my head shape and natural hair patterns. I'm thrilled with the results and was impressed by the "extras" - mid-month touch-ups, partial cuts, etc. I'd highly recommend Gent Cuts.

Stopped in here for a way overdue haircut, being an out-of-towner I had my reservations about going to someone new, but after my cut I have to say Manny is absolutely the best barber I've been to. Extremely thorough yet efficient on time - I got a beard trim and fade cut. If you're looking for a new barber or just need a cut be sure to book him!

I've been coming here for a little over a year now and have never had a bad experience. I got tired of having Sport/Great Clips mess up my hair and not provide the high quality I'm looking for, so I switched over to Gent and haven't regretted it. I've only gone to Sam (the Minneapolis manager) the entire time and she kills every single cut I've gotten while also giving me expert feedback on what I'm looking to accomplish. I've never received so many compliments in my life on my hair (or thought I would ever care), but Gent delivers.

It's extremely convenient to visit over a break in my work day and all the staff are down to Earth and make it feel like an actual break. Spend the money, you wont regret it. Five star rating no question.
