Stony Lake Market

My family and I have a cottage just up the road from here. My diet is very specific for health reasons and let me tell you - walking in here, I'm always able to find something I can eat! Last time I was in I found a frozen grain free pizza! I live in Grand Rapids and I often can't find things like that, even with our large variety of stores and options! I absolutely love having this place down the road from our home away from home and will always give them my business!

Love this place! From breakfast to dinner whatever I've order has always been great! Front to back menu with tons of choices. The french dips are wonderful with some fat fries. The pizza is awesome as well. Staff is super friendly and very welcoming. Seating inside and outside is comfortable.

I don't live in Michigan. I live in Wisconsin but for as long as I can remember...every other summer I'd go to the family cottage and going to the Stony Lake Store was ALWAYS a stop in our day. When my grandfather was alive...we'd take the boat across the lake to get the morning paper and a sweet for myself. My family used to rent tubes and we'd go down the channel to Lake Michigan. To this day I take my son to the Little Store because he loves checking out the fishing tackle and getting Ice Cream. This store has a lot of fond memories for me and for my family. Love love love coming here whenever I can.

The Stony Lake Market has very friendly and helpful staff. It's very cute inside and has many unique items. The Market has a great selection of gluten-free foods!!! Which is great!!

I've been coming to Stony Lake for quite a few years now and always look forward to breakfasts at the cafe. Stony Lake Store and Cafe is a "one stop shop" for all the basics you need to enjoy your day (or weeks) around the area.

Hit the Cafe for amazing (and huge) breakfast meals. Everything is homecooked and many breads and other items are locally sourced. See my photos for a few examples - all highly recommended. The cafe also serves lunch, pizza, and most items are available for takeout. During the week your server may also be cooking your meals so, be patient and use the free wi-fi while you wait. Or, check-out the various items for sale up front or in the back room.

The store has most basics needed to keep you going. Beer, wine, liquor, beverages, basic food and pantry items are plentiful in the small space along with other basic necessities such as bug spray and suntan lotion, along with simple hardware and household supplies.

You can order hand-scooped local ice cream out front and grab bags of ice to chill down your cooler full of goodies. If you are feeling adventurous you can even rent tubes at the store and drop them in Stony Lake for a float or a lazy drift down the inlet to Lake Michigan.

Be sure to check out the historical pictures of Stony Lake in the store. Staff here are friendly and knowledgable of the area. Locals also tend to congregate and stop by here on most days, so stop by and make new friends.

My friend and I were getting candy at the store, when this strange man followed us. When we were checking out, the man went outside and stayed there. The lady at the desk caught on and told us to stay inside until he’s gone. Eventually she had to go outside and talk to him because he wouldn’t leave. She told us he didn’t say anything and went around the corner, so she let a passerby know so that they could keep an eye on us when we walked home. She let us go once she was sure we were safe, and she set an example that all store workers should learn from.

Cute love the outside deck. We had burgers which were hand made. fresh grilled chicken and hand cut french fries it was amazing.

Fantastic small town store with good pizza and ice cream. Friendly and helpful teenage staff.

Always ready with a hot cup of coffee and a smile. They saved me with creamer when I had a morning banquet!

Best breakfast and pizza around!! The store has lots of stuff to get you thru the weekend.
