The food is always great here! I ordered sesame chicken with shrimp, and it was so good! They have the best egg rolls too. I've been coming here for over 30 years and always loved the food!

Really good, big portions. Best chinese in the area. Szechuan chicken is what I got.

All of this food in my photo was from one combo dinner. I had enough for lunch and plenty of leftovers for another meal. Great food!

This is our favorite Chinese food! Great big portions, and the food is always fresh and very good!
Some of my favorite dishes from here are sweet and sour chicken, general chicken, almond chicken, egg foo young, curry beef & their chicken noodle soup is always good too!

I will add that it would be super helpful and probably a good idea to start using card board in between food boxes when bagged for carryout so that the food stays more level when transporting..

It is a take-out only place. Our food was very very good for the most part. The sweet and sour soup was terrific as well the chicken which was similar to chicken with garlic sauce (I can't remember the name of the dish). The egg rolls and sweet and sour chicken were ok. I would definitely order there again if I lived in the area.

Never had a bad meal! Typically do carry out, but when they allowed dining in it was still a pleasure to be there. A bit dated as far as the atmosphere goes, but the quality of the food makes up for it, as well as the service.

LOVE this place, been coming here for years. Food is always excellent, large menu. Staff is great, very friendly. Prices are good also and you get your moneys worth with the generous portions, we always have plenty for lunch the next day. This IS the best Chinese food downriver hands down. Try 5hem, you'll be hooked👍

It's only carryout now. Have been going here since I was in highschool, many years ago 😄. Love the egg rolls and the service is amazing.

For literally over two decades this has been my favorite Chinese food of all time. It isn't an exaggeration when I say they're sweet and sour sauce is the best I've ever had! I live over 30 miles away and will still continue to eat Shong Hey ❤

The staff is always, always friendly, and the food is always hot.

Dine here once, and you'll notice that the kitchen is always busy. Either preparing your food, or the seemingly non stop carry out orders that need to be filled.

A well kept secret that needs to be tasted, appreciated, and given your patronage.

I’ve been going to Shong’s for years with my family, always the best, always delicious, always plenty too eat with the potions, the ladies there are short, sweet too the point on the phone and at the counter with your orders and the prices are perfect for the hardy helpings they give. I recommend the takeout there for a lazy day when you just don’t wanna cook or a nice date dinner. They may be a whole in the wall restaurant but they know how too feed you right!

Okay, this is typically our place for carryout. But for the first time in many years, we decided to inside, sit down and enjoy the food straight from the kitchen and less the Styrofoam containers. If you haven't been out for Chinese, give it a whirl. The hot tea, soup and egg roll before the main meal is a nice touch. Plus, our service was very good, too.

very friendly staff, always ready when I arrive ( usually within 20-30mins). Food is hot, delicious and always authentic. Love this place and would recommend to friends and family.

Shong Hey had been our go to place for years for great Chinese food, however when the new owners took over (couple of years ago i think ?) we went not knowing that there were new owners but it was reflected in their food, it wasn’t good at all not at all. Tonight my husband and I were really wanting Chinese for dinner and every single place we have tried over the last couple years was horrible, we thought we would roll the dice again and try Shong Hey again because we saw a recent good review, not only was the food tonight DELICIOUS but either the old owners came back OR the old owner came back to teach the new owners how to do things the old way, how to cook the food the way THEY did. We will for sure come back again, and I might add when i went in to pick up our carry out the place was SUPER CLEAN like seriously CLEAN CLEAN If the owners read this i would sure like to know if the old owners are back 😊
