The Meadowlark Inn

I stayed at The Meadowlark Inn recently and it was a very pleasant experience. Booking and check-in was really easy. Plenty of parking. Clean, comfortable rooms. I liked that the rooms had a second entry opening onto the back porch. The beds in my room were on the firmer side. The owner, Austin, was great and offered recommendations on places to eat and things to do in the area. If I am ever back in the area I will stay here again. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

Stopped in for a night, the rooms are big with a huge bathroom also.Very clean comfortable beds. In the back there's a pavilion and baseball field! We were there in early spring worth snow on the ground. Planning on going back in the summer to enjoy the backyard 😎

This place is lovely. There's a big outdoor space at the back with lots of toys and games for kids to play with. We came during early Spring when it was cold, but we would love to return during the warmer months.

We had the best stay at the Meadowlark Inn with Austin! We felt welcomed from the moment we arrived, including a basket of some snacks in our room for the kids. The room was lovely and clean with plenty of space for four. The area behind the inn is a bit of an oasis for outdoor living. There is a beautiful pavilion with plenty of seating and grills, a fire pit and seating area, hammocks for relaxing, and so many outdoor games for everyone to enjoy (horseshoes, ping pong, cornhole, ladder ball, volleyball, badminton, baseball). Austin is such a gracious host and serves a wonderful breakfast each day, including his amazing waffles! I very highly recommend staying here!

We had commitments in the area and when we searched available inns and motels, The Meadowlark Inn popped up. The location was convenient and photos were attractive. We are so happy that we did stay. The room was attractive, comfortable and clean. The grounds are spacious and lovely. with picnic tables, a gazebo, and attractive lighting. The breakfast area is pleasant and bright. The proprietor, Austin, is a natural innkeeper: he is welcoming . pleasant and anxious to be helpful. We both enjoyed our stay and recommend The Meadowlark Inn to anyone looking for accommodations in the area.

Had a wonderful stay at the Meadowlark. Rooms were clean and cozy and the property is beautiful. Breakfast in the am was great. Austin is one of the kindest and most considerate people we have encountered in a long time.

Me, my 2 boys, my brother and my father stayed at The Meadowlark Inn on our visit to Cooperstown. We were very happy with our stay. Austin is an amazing host. He provided suggestions on places to eat, played baseball with the kids, made great waffles, and is just an all around personable guy! We'll definitely be back!

We were in town for the Little Falls Cheese Festival, and we were looking for a nice place to stay. We found this place and it is beautiful! It’s in a great location (about 20 minutes away from cooperstown) and the view is beautiful! The rooms are very clean and homey. The owner was so nice and helpful. The showers are stone tile and very nice. We hope to be back soon!

Amazing stay in a quaint Inn. I stayed with 1 of my sons at the Meadowlark while my husband coached our other son at Cooperstown Dreams Park. The Inn has 12 spacious rooms, clean, quiet, and a huge area out back to play or make a fire. Our team took up most of the rooms, that made it so much fun. The drive back and forth was beautiful, easy, not as far as expected and beautiful along the lake. Now for the Inn owner, Austin. He’s just the best, hospitable, friendly, helpful, and I enjoyed talking with him. This was a special stay for our family. We travel all over the world and my son won’t forget driving the tractor, s’mores, and catching fireflies. Thank you Austin we appreciate you and your darling Inn.

The Meadowlark Inn is a surprising gem in upstate New York. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The giant backyard is fun for kids to play in or to gather. But the real gem is the proprietor, Austin. He made us feel so at home and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable. He made waffles for all the guests and even went out and bought gluten free waffles for me. This really is more of a charming Bed and Breakfast instead of a roadside motel. I would recommend the Meadowlark to anyone looking to stay in the area.

Our stay at the Meadowlark Inn was wonderful. This was our fourth time staying here, and as always we were able to relax in a beautiful setting. The room was clean, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. The owner Austin was welcoming, very easy to talk with, and ensured we had a pleasant stay. We will definitely be visiting again.

Austin is a great owner! Super friendly, made some delicious waffles even when I showed up late for breakfast! I recommend the Meadowlark Inn, Austin goes out of his way to make the stay enjoyable and his guests happy.

If you are going to be visiting Cooperstown go ahead and do yourself a favor and just book the Meadowlark Inn! We stayed in the suite that had plenty of room for us to spread out. We loved Austin’s famous waffles for breakfast, and truly enjoyed his hospitality, which made it even more fun! I am not sure who had more fun the siblings or the parents :) playing wiffle ball and roasting marshmallows and being spoiled with ice cream, thanks again Austin!

My son and I had an extremely enjoyable stay at the Meadowlark Inn. Our room was immaculate, comfortable and the bathroom was spotless. Open the slider to the back and you will find a baseball field, volleyball net, a ping pong table, picnic tables, grills, corn hole, horse shoes and many more outdoor activities. If you prefer to sit on a swing or at a table you can do so under the large gazebo. It also has a large fire pit at a good distance away from the rooms. If it's rainy they have a large selection of DVD's to enjoy along with many board games. We are glad we chose this option vs. staying at a sterile chain hotel. We came to enjoy a weekend at the Baseball Hall of Fame and staying here made our weekend so much more enjoyable. In other reviews, everyone stated how great our host and owner Austin was and I will confirm that he was fantastic. He is so personable and you can tell he takes pride in running his Inn. He is hands on in all aspects of the Inn. We would see him cooking, cutting the lawn and other day to day routine upkeep, always with a smile and hello. His waffles and syrup are legendary!! The HOF is only 15 to 20 minutes away. Do yourself a favor and stay at the Meadowlark Inn! All the 5 star reviews are legit!!

Me and my family stayed there and the experience was terrific,Backyard offered multiple toys for kids to play with and the bathrooms were incredible,breakfast was okay,with there were more options but the company of everyone was great,I recommend this place truely wish we could stay more.

This motel definitely has more of a bed and breakfast feel. It is impeccably clean and comfortable. It is an easy drive to the Cooperstown area. Would be a great place to gather with family and friends as the yard area has a beautiful pavilion with multiple grills, lawn games, baseball diamond, and hammocks. Austin the owner is extremely friendly and accommodating. Included breakfast was convenient and appreciated. Have one of Austin’s famous waffles!

My girlfriend and I tend to visit Cooperstown multiple times a year. We usually stay in the same hotel for our visits but this time that hotel was not a available and we took a chance on the Meadowlark Inn. With out a doubt one of our best experiences visiting. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The property itself is beautiful and beats any view you would get at a hotel. The owner of the property Austin is very kind and helpful. He even gave us a tour of the grounds. We will definitely be staying here again for all of our future trips to the area.

What a lovely place to stay and relax. Short drive to Glimmerglass State Park and Cooperstown. In between adventures it’s nice to come back to the Meadowlark and relax in the swing or hammock. Austin makes you feel right at home.

Centrally located for the activities we wanted to do 15-20 minute drive to all places such as Cooperstown(Hall of Fame), Milford (Pioneer explorer rail cars) and Herkimer (Erie Canal Cruise). Rooms were very nice, covered outdoor sitting area, free breakfast and Austin’s morning waffles were delicious. Very welcoming atmosphere we were greeted by name both mornings we had stayed. Enjoyable getaway for our 32nd wedding anniversary.

We loved our stay at the meadowlark inn. The room was spacious and VERY clean.
The back yard is amazing and well equipped with grills, fire pit, hammocks and games to enjoy with friends and family.
Austin the owner is super friendly, and made us fresh waffles for breakfast!
We will definitely be back if we are in the area.
