Herb's Carpet & Tile

Very knowledgeable and friendly, whether the office/sales staff, Phil, or the installers. We had a hiccup with carpet being shipped in with a minor streak in color, which the installers noticed when they came to install it (when unrolling it). We hadn't noticed it, even when they pointed it out. They told us right away, had new carpet ordered expedited, and were right back to install it. They didn't want us settling for second best of anything, whether we noticed or not. TOP NOTCH service and we have been back to them several times for product/service. They have also worked with volunteer community organizations to help where needed, which shows they are a very heart-centered business, and we are so grateful for them.

Phil did a great job in communicating and pulling our job together. Will use Herb's for all of my tile and flooring projects newaygo county.

Needed a quality carpet remnant for living in the motorhome this winter. These guys took excellent care of me and supplied me with just what I wanted at less than half the price.

We had a great experience with Herbs. Great service. Excellent installation and ended up charging us less than anticipated due to some installation savings.

He has a wealth of knowledge and has been so helpful with our projects. He is able to order many needed custom supplies without a problem. Would recommend!

HORRIBLE customer service. These guys damaged property in my house when they were installing flooring and I am STILL waiting for them to reimburse me. The manager of the store has been jerking me around for months, promising to take care of the damage but still nothing has been done. He doesn't return my calls and always has a reason why he's not at fault for why this is taking so long. I would not recommend this business to anyone I care about.

Wow. Just...WOW. Here's my review of Here's Carpet & Tile in Fremont. 💥
We ordered blinds for 2 windows in our newly remodeled living room. We also had them measure for Carpet. Phil, the owner came out to measure it all back in April 2023. The windows were to have pull-down blinds with valances. Phil came out June 15 to install.

The blind on the larger window was installed off center (seriously noticeable). The smaller window blind was measured wrong and too small for the window but he installed it anyways. The valances never came in (or were never ordered). He left saying he would get the valances ordered.

That was almost 2 months ago. We called several times to check on the status. Not one return phone call. The girl in the office just didn't seem to care. Phil obviously didn't care as he never bothered to return 2 messages. Yesterday I called again. "You can come out here, remove these blinds and give us a full refund". Basically what I got back was ok we'll be out Monday and we'll bring a check.

What has happened to customer service? This place truly doesn't care about business or business relationships with customers. There lack of responses, and 0 empathy for our situation speaks volumes 🤬 you would think a small business would do everything in their power to make it right. Not once did anyone say "I'm sorry that happened " "what can I do to make this right?" Sad. We wanted to shop local - we tried. The job they did I could have done myself and at least the blinds would have been centered. Now, our brand new window mounding will have extra holes. Buyer BEWARE. They don't care about customer service. They don't care about details. They just take your money and run.
They now say they'll be here Monday to remove the blinds and refund over $600. Hope so, otherwise we'll be seeing them in court 🤬🤬🤬

Over promised, under delivered to say the least!!! Workers didn’t even vacuum after install and left a mess. Walked out while I was on the phone and went on to another job. Called the store and got no help there. Was told on a couple different occasions throughout this process that the owner would get in touch with me, that never happened either. This was a commercial job and they completely screwed us over. We would not recommend them to anyone and would encourage anyone we speak with to take their business elsewhere.

Bad customer service. Was told 6-7 different times / days that our rug would be finished. Ordered custom sized rug. Ordered the rug to be 14' x 14' Rug came out to be 13'9" and the whole back side of the rug was filthy as the bed of the truck they picked it up with was very dirty, and rug was not protected.

Would not recommend this company to anyone... I would suggest going ANYWHERE else. Its worth a drive to Muskegon than having to deal with them.
