The food is amazing! Rice and veggies have a great flavor with out being spicy, of course there's amazing sauces to choose from to heat it up.I have never had smoked meat this good! My husband and i love the ribs and jerked pork. Tons of flavor with out a ton of heat. We can't wait to try more. So glad there's something different in this little town.

genuinely one of my favorite places to go. the owners and staff are so so lovely and hospitable. customer service is oustanding as well. if you ever go there, you have to try the chocolate chip banana bread. it is DELICIOUS! obviously everything else there is too, and is always top-notch quality, but the banana bread is my personal favorite. if you're ever looking for some fanastic, extremely well made culturally diverse food, this is the place to go!

Amazingly delicious to-go food and Jamaican market! Main courses already cooked, served hot over rice with veggies (and plantains...maybe!). Goat, pork, chicken, or ribs. Market sells chips, spices, teas, sodas, desserts, snacks, Jamaican coffee beans. The cook is very friendly. We are lucky to have this place! 💚💛🖤

Incredible food! We were recommended by a friend and this place did not disappoint. It was hard to pick because each meal was so good. The portions are also huge, and more than enough to split. This place is a must try!

Super grateful theyre here for a quick and healthy meal. I was suprised to find they often cook with local, oraganic pasture raised chicken and pork. Seafood, chicken, and pork stews/curries from here are always amazing. They have super tasty jerk chicken, and bbq pork as well. The goat & oxtail are bone in, so don't buy it if that will bother you, and if you go at the end of a day it could've been sitting for a little, so logic will tell you it would be best early to mid-day.

I had the curried chicken with rice and peas. I asked them if I could move into the back room. They laughed, I was serious. The food was absolutely delicious. The owner let us sample whatever we liked, I tried a peice of the smoked ribs, if you are vegan I feel sorry for you. I don't care how healthy kale is. Have some red meat you pale looking, frail iron deficient freak.

My wife and I eat here about once a month and absolutely love it. We eat the chicken and the pork and have never had a bad meal. I especially love the plantains.

He let me sample everything! It was my first time having ox tail and goat. It was delicious and I highly recommend you check this place out. It's a little pricey, but worth it!

I had an absolutely delightful experience at this J & J restaurant. The flavors of the food were outstanding, with a perfect balance of spices that truly transported me to the Caribbean. The meats were tender and succulent, making every bite a pleasure. And those meat pastries were a real highlight - bursting with deliciousness! Wish I lived close so I could have more! The owner was an absolute delightful person as well. Love the passion for food from this little gem.

Been wanting to stop by and try this place out for a while. Finally did and got the curried chicken. Wow!!! This food is really good! Definitely worth stopping by. The portion was enough for me and my wife to split. We also grabbed a meat pie and some tamarind balls. They source their tamarind from Boston and gave us a raw pod so we could try it. Very awesome store and great customer service. We will be eating at this place in the future for sure!

I have no words to describe how good this food is! I'd never tried Jamaican food before, but I can tell that this is the best I will ever have. I ordered the oxtail and the curried goat, and they're absolutely fantastic! Give it a try, I can bet you'll be back more than once!

Wow, what a find in rural Midcoast Maine! A Jamaican grocery with just about all of your Caribbean needs. And the meals offered are top notch. Visited here yesterday after going to the Lobster Festival. Ordered the oxtail meal. Boy, was it excellent and filling! I wish the owners well.

Wow! What great Jamaican food. Jerked pork, chicken, ribs plus a seafood curry all served with rice and veggies . Each portion is enough for 2 ! Lot of food...
Also meat pasties ( large empanadas, pies) and desserts too. They also offer drinks and some groceries. Couple of tables outside too.

This is the best Jamaican food I have found outside of the actual island. The guy running the place is super friendly too. They also have a bunch of snacks and goods that are hard to find beyond the Caribbean.

Great spiced foods. Authentic and delicious.. Nice portions. Very nice people, personable, happy and actually we had a great time. Will be going back a Saturday soon for outside smoked Jamaican foods.

I'm a smoked meat fiend. The meal that was brought home to me is sensational. The pork is cooked to perfection and the sauce is great. The seafood curry is spectacular.
So nice to find a place that knows how to season food
