Bettie’s Pages is a refreshing and welcoming bookstore in Lowell. Their new location is beautiful and easy to get in and out of. Every time we’ve come in, we’ve been met with friendly booksellers and warm greetings. We love to visit, immediately find and pet the cats, then browse the diverse selection of books and other merchandise (I personally love the sticker collection). They even have an area of toys to help occupy my kids while I shop for something new to read. The few times I haven’t been able to find what I was looking for, they helped me order it into the store to pickup within a week. Their reading challenges and recommendations have prompted me to read interesting books I wouldn’t have looked at otherwise. We recently attended a story-time and my child had a great time! I love supporting small bookstores and am so lucky to have such a great, inclusive space near my home.

I really regret not making to Bettie's Pages sooner. I've heard about it for a while, but don't go to Lowell often. It is completely worth a special drive.
They have done a great job making a small place feel like a welcoming and cozy bookstore. The stock is a well curated collection of both progressive-focused books as well as more mainstream ones. Even though many genres available aren't my cup of tea, I couldn't help but browse the selection because I don't see those books being a focus in other stores.
The biggest highlight for me is the vast selection of progressive and literary stickers and magnets. I could lose my retirement fund to those very, very quickly if I don't keep it in check.
If you are anywhere near this store or feel like taking a well-rewarded drive, definitely stop here.

Our second visit to Bettie's Pages and, wow, we are still completely blown away! It was worth the 2 hour 20 minute drive to get there. Once you step inside, you are welcomed by bright, beautiful book displays, tees, stickers, socks, smiles, and all the things that make everyone feel welcome and loved. The selections are diverse and inclusive. Throughout the different genres, you'll find some familiar favorites as well as many that highlight minority groups that you might not find in other places. The children's section is packed with books to represent everyone. The displays were phenomenal, and I could have gotten lost in those for far longer. Whether you're looking for a book for yourself or a gift, or even some awesome merchandise to brighten a day, it's worth the stop. Bonus is the happy smile eager to greet you and help with any questions you may have. We'll happily be making this trip again.

It's a lovely bookstore with great employees. I've been coming here for a while and everytime has been a great experience. The owner is very sweet too.
And the last time I was there they had two adorable kittens running around!! They were friendly and loved to play. Definitely made me fall more in love with the place.
They have a large selection of books from all kind of genres. The back of the store was opened up and now there's even more young adult book selection. I also love seeing the employees leave notes of books they liked. The store also has lots of stickers, pins, bookmarks, socks, and some many more things.
The atmosphere is pretty comfortable too. They very openly support LGBTQ and BLM which I love to see. And they supply mask to put on before coming into the store.

I finally made my way to Bettie’s during their semi annual sale, and spent way too much money (my fault, not theirs lol) and the store was beautiful, the selection was awesome, and the staff was so kind (stopped me from buying a 2nd book in a series when I didn’t realize it wasn’t the first book.) Vibes are immaculate. 10/10 will be back!

I went here last year and it’s one of the places I look forward to visiting whenever I’m in the state. Plus - the kitties are super sweet.

My wife and I visited recently, from the moment we walked in we fell in love. The store is so welcoming and filled with books (the kitties helped as well). It was very inclusive and made sure no group was left out. A new favorite store and will definitely be back again.

I have only shopped online so far but I love the access to virtual book clubs. I can’t wait to visit in person someday.

They made us feel welcome from first entering. We loved the atmosphere. Everyone in my family found a few things to purchase, as well as a small load of stickers. A must stop for anyone looking to be amongst friends and allies.
If I could add one thing as they move locations - a few more browsing stools would be great.

This bookstore is leaps and bounds above the big chain bookstores. First off, it's not stuffy and static, things change here. Not so drastically that you can't find anything, but enough that it feels alive. Secondly, the store is always engaging. They match the books with fun stickers, bookmarks, puzzles, and anything else you might like, to follow the theme of your current read. It makes buying books an enjoyable well-rounded experience. It's lgbtq+, kid, and cat friendly! It's just a happy place filled with love.

Such a cute little bookstore. Whenever I stop in Lowell I practically beg my mom to go there. They get the stickers and pins from specific artists. AND THERE ARE BOOKSTORE CATS!!! I do advise you not to wear an easily frayed shirt as one of the chubby babies likes to chew fabric. The other likes to escape so be wary when you enter. Also they don't only sell books, you can get dice and other stuff there too! :)

My favorite local bookstore! Plus, there's kitties! Nicole always stocks the best books about the tough subjects that need to be discussed. She also hosts book clubs and events throughout the year.

Such a cool spot! I love the theme and the feeling of inclusiveness. Lots of topics and unique selections. Went to support on Independent Bookstore Day and they gave me a free book! I'll be back for their fun events.
