Hill Funeral Home

My sister's service was very simple. Jenna at Hill Funeral Home went out of her way to put their special touches in place to honor my sister's memory so elegantly. The urn we chose was the dolphin on top. The floral display was done by Fenner's Floral & Design Company in Burton, MI. The display with the long table is something that the funeral home did all on their own. They did such a beautiful arrangement, the picture doesn't do it justice. Our family would highly recommend Hill Funeral Home, we are lucky to have a place like this so close to home.

We unfortunately, lost our Mom in Sept, 2023 and our Dad, Jan, 2024. From the funeral directors, Jillian, Michelle, Theresa, Taylor and Jenna, all the way down the staff line, they were incredibly helpful and listened and worked with us on our wants. We were never pressured to purchase things that we didn't want or need. The staff showed their personal side, as they cried with us.
Due to a traumatic fall, my Dad had a few weeks before his passing, some difficult decisions needed to be made. They took into account our feelings and worked with us to make it work. I will be forever grateful for that.
Dad built his own casket 20+ yrs ago. It was very important that we used his casket. They never once tried to talk us out of it. They took the time to make sure, everything was perfect with it.
The visitation room was set up beautifully both times. They had a memorial table where we could place cherished items and know it was safe and wouldn't get knocked over.
We have a very large extended family and my folks had many lifelong friends, the room worked perfectly and we never felt crowded or suffocated. We never had to ask for more chairs, Don was setting up chairs before we even noticed.
They made sure they were available during the visitation, funeral service and burial for anything that we may have needed.
I have never dealt with a more compassionate funeral home as Hill Funeral Home.

Michelle showed me so much kindness through just the phone calls i had with her. she made the process of losing my mother just a little bit easier. thank you, Michelle.

My experience was beyond wonderful!!! The kindness, patience, knowledge, respect, and concern provided for my wellbeing left me in awe! Hunter and Elizabeth went above and beyond to ensure that I have everything I need when I make my final transition from this world! When I left the consultation at Hill Funeral Home, I felt like Hunter and Elizabeth are now part of my family!!!! Michelle Leismer, the funeral Director who worked with us did a great job. All details were handled beautifully, including visitation , the funeral service, cemetery service and the meal afterwards.

We especially liked the room used for visitation. It is a large , comfortable family style room, with plenty of comfortable seating areas in various corners of the room. It was not the typical several rows of chairs that you see in many funeral homes.

In summary, we would recommend Hill funeral home highly for your needs.

What puts Hills above your average funeral home really comes down to the level of respect. Between the respect shown both to the deceased and to the family, I was really impressed with the professional dignity with which the workers presented themselves. When we dressed my great grandmother, the staff were very understanding and respectful of our religious ceremonies.

Hill Funeral Home went above and beyond to help our family through the entire process. All of the employees helped with any of the family or guest's needs. They are all very nice and courteous.

We choose to use their catering service and the meal service was superior. It was so convenient to have this on-site option.

At a time of loss they/Michael made planning a funeral so helpful and couldn’t do enough to make it an easy journey. Assured me that if I had any questions or needs they were at our service. Everyone was amazing!! I would highly recommend Hill Funeral Home. My Mom had a Prepaid funeral Contract & it was so nice to not have to make a lot of decisions at that difficult time. Everyone at Hill made it as easy as possible.

We had pre paid and arranged most of my husbands arrangements, not knowing 3 years before exactly what we wanted, but some basics. I will tell you from the moment I entered the funeral home with my husbands clothing for the viewing, which is by far the hardest thing I have ever done in my life......, they embraced me and helped me through the whole grueling process with respect and caring, I never imagined. I had dreaded this part of leaving my husband in their care and they thought of everything I needed and offered the utmost warmth and respect. I am so glad we chose the wonderful Hill funeral team. I Just Love Hills Funeral home Mike went over everything with me slow and made it so easy and the young lady who did moms make up did a Beautiful job and mom was done with loving care and looked Beautiful when done everyone is so kind even the limo driver took time for questions I couldnt stop hugging them for all they did for me and my family in a time I was trying to be strong to hold them together that ment so much they even told me about finger pring necklace I want to do for my daughter who misses Grandma so much everyone will help you and those you love couldnt be in better hands to make them like their sleeping and to make them look their very best Thank You so much everyone for everything you did and all the loving work and care you did for my mother and my father I can never Thank You enough

Certainly a very special place with caring and loving staff. As a Dignity funeral home I found they were able to offer so much more than I expected.
