This was an extremely great find. It was clean with a lot to do. My granddaughter and us loved the pool, miniature golf, and walking and riding bikes. There are new owners who checked in with us to make sure our stay was perfect. We recommend this park to anyone of all ages.

We will be back every year.

Excellent Campsite. The facilities were always clean and well maintained. The staff were friendly and accommodating. A perfect place to bring your kids. Super Cool Michigan Mitten Swimming Pool..!! A great camp store that has everything you forgot to bring. Very close to Michigan nature attractions. This campground has been added to my Favorites.

We took a shot in the dark and snagged the last seasonal spot available a few years ago. Site unseen, we paid in full and have never looked back. Our family believes we won the lotto with this home away from home. This place is just the right amount of nature mixed with large sites and modern amenities. We have quickly made friends with every staff member, including the owners. Although there are rules, there is still plenty of fun to be had. Come visit and ask about the camp pet, Paul. We love it at Michigan Oaks!

My husband was working in Onaway for a month so we decided to camp. Took our 2 kids there and we had a blast! Staff were so nice, pool was excellent and my kids couldnt wait to play candy bar bingo every night. Showers were hot and clean. Playground was nice. Hope we have the chance to stay there again some time!

I hadn't camped at Michigan Oaks since I was a kid and it was called Jellystone. It was just as magical and fun as I remembered. There are so many activities, all kid based, that there truly is no boredom. Nice, clean facilities. The sites are right on top of each other but in all honesty, how much time do you really spend at your site when there is so much to do? The people are so wonderful! They made us feel welcomed and like family. The fact that they have themed weekend events was astonishing. SO MUCH FUN!! We will definitely be going back! I highly recommend this place if you have kids. If you don't, I still recommend it because it's a great atmosphere and they offer such a wide variety of activities. They have a pool, a playground, an outdoor theater, mini golf, a snack bar a store and SO MUCH MORE! If you forget something it's right near a grocery store and other places. This was our first camping trip as a family that wasn't stressful, it was very relaxing. I'd like to give a shout out to Kim, Tina, and Kira because they made our week there so enjoyable. If you have any questions the ladies in the office were very kind and helpful as well. We can't wait to go back!

Just spent a wonderful week with my sons and their families. Rented two rustic cabins and the deluxe one. Had a great time, the pool was awesome, cabins nice and clean (could use top bunk rails for the little ones) but had a great time. Will be back!

Great campground for families! Lots of activities for the kids. We love the movie every night! It’s something our kids always remember! We’ve been going now for 4 years. Dorothy is a saint and the service staff is super friendly!

I didn't realize this was a Jellystone park when we booked. But once I arrived I remembered from when I was there as a kid.

Peter greeted me at the gate and he was charming. He was super friendly and knowledgeable.

Dorothy (the owner) was helpful and pleasant.

The activities (crafts, movies, bingo, hayride, etc) are great. Campsite trash pick up is awesome. Candy bar bingo was enjoyed by adults and kids alike. The state shaped pool is cool.

However the best part of the week was Parker. No matter what he was doing- running bingo, crafts, movies, working the snack bar or front gate he always had a smile. He said hi and waved to us no matter where we were in the park and even knew my kid's names. He is the epitome of a perfect employee.

We had a great week and plan to return again.

Only real complaint was sewer port was higher than our trailer could be----- so we paid for full hookup but couldn't use it.

I’ve been going here for over 20 years and will continue to do so! The comfort cabins are amazing! They are clean, nice, and affordable. Our home away from home. A lot of things to do at the campground ...clean pool in the shape of Michigan, snack shack, shuffleboard, horseshoes, wagon rides, candy bar bingo, planned activities etc. If you’re looking for more stuff to do, mini golf, rafting, shops, ice cream, and restaurants are all 10 minutes down the road. Mackinaw city is only 30 minutes north. This is a great place if you want peace and quite while still enjoying some of the other things Michigan has to offer.

Twin Bears was a great find for my husband and me. We’d had a reservation at another Michigan city that didn’t work for us and were slightly panicked that we wouldn’t find a place at short notice. Jen, one of the owners, worked to accommodate us. Twin Bears is wooded, has a beautiful pool and mini- golf, plus many other activities for adults and children. Jen and Bianca are eager to assist campers and are available all day. Another camper had used the 30 amp plug assigned to us. Jen solved the problem quickly and in a tactful manner which kept both parties content. If you’re in the Indian River area, be sure to stop at Twin Bears Wooded Campground.

Awesome place to camp with kids. They have so many activities for the kids and really seem to care. They have tractor rides and candy bar bingo and always a craft or something going on to keep the kids busy. Full hook-up sites and rustic. Can't wait to go back again next spring. The pool is also shaped like Michigan with a road map painted on the bottom.

This is a great campground for families! We absolutely loved it! There are a lot of activities for the kids. The campground got really quiet at night which was nice for our family.
I wouldn't recommend for adults who want to drink or stay up late partying. I am pretty sure there was a curfew (not positive) but the campground seemed to die down around 10ish and it was really quiet

Everything is clean, there's activities for kids every weekend, and it's a short walk to any bathroom. We stayed in the rustic area with just a tent and it was the greatest time. There's trees to tie clotheslines anywhere on your plot and anything you could need, they help with.

I would give this a 6 star if I could. But this place has a very nice pool, nice golf course, and very clean bathhouse. The people there are very friendly and polite, the concession stands has very very cheap food like $1 ice cream, slashes and 50 cent chips. I would recommend coming here often.

Very well kept place from the nice clean site's to the very clean bathrooms. The owners couldn't be any nicer. Clean pool and nice 18 hole mini golf course. Something for the kids to do all the time.

Great campground. Stayed Labor day holiday. Quiet time is really quiet. Lots of tent camping. Plenty of kids having fun. Nice swimming pool, snack bar and camp store. Putt putt golf too. Great place to walk/jog. Owners and staff are very kind and friendly. Very clean campground and restrooms/showers. Definitely will camp there again.

We go every year and have a great time. It has a great pool in the shape of michigan so our son can swim over our hometown. I love all the theme weekends. We went to a western one and go to mine for gems- it was a big hit and we worked on making jewelry with our friends. Friendly camper as neighbors and my husband won the candy bar jackpot at Bingo!

I’ve been here for about 7-8 years as a seasonal, I love the staff and the owners. Every weekend is a new adventure and lots of kids are around for new friendships . The atmosphere is great and lots of great views of stars and plants. Overall this place is my favorite place to be..

Had a great stay here the end of August.
Clean, well kept grounds and facilities, with friendly and accomodating staff. They went the extra mile when once home, we discovered my husbands wedding band was missing:( They sent staff to search the site and found it!!!!
His wedding band was returned to us and we will forever be grateful.
Thank you Michigan Oaks!!!♥
