Has the best selection of plants and cool rocks. They are well educated when it comes to fish and anything scaly. The customer service is amazing as well. Love this family owned business. These fish were bought from Roe and have been doing fabulous. Even if your not in the market to buy things there, it's a cool place to peek into.

This store is wonderful. It’s not fancy with all the frills but the staff and owners are knowledgeable and care about the earth and providing good customer service. It’s a small local business - NOT Walmart/ Lowes or pet smart - so yes the prices are higher - but I think worth it to support a local business and our rock island economy. My questions about pond maintenance were answered and I was given excellent advice about what to do and how to not use a lot or any harmful chemicals. I appreciate this local business a great deal!

I use ROE for all my fish and tank needs friendly and knowledgeable family owned have been a patron for years! They have more options to choose from from fish, tanks, substrate, decor, then all the rest! Just an over all great place for the aquarium hobbyist!!!!!

I’ve read plenty reviews now that compare the pricing of this shop to big box pet stores and such. Anyone who complains of this shops pricing merely looked at one item and decided to be senile. This shop is what you make of it, as they have been in business for well over 40 years dealing with plenty of absolutely sorry excuses for customers. Once you display any amount of knowledge or passion in the hobby to the owners, you will be taken care of, but if you’re a nobody to them theyll be nobody to you. Their fish stock is typically immersive, with new vibrant additions weekly. Phil can even order just about any fish in the hobby for you, and quarantines EVERYTHING before sale to ensure liability is on him instead of the customer. They have the best rates for the products I need in the entire QC, by a large portion too. If you’re doing business with any shop in the qc, especially on the IL side, anywhere but here is a mistake.

Absolutely hands down the best freshwater store in the area! Love the family owned atmosphere and the amazing knowledge they have! The selection of fish is ever changing and always a variety of different types!

They are very reasonable priced!!! They're crickets are the best in town! And our guinea pig loves their hay!

This was my first time here. This is a wonderful gem of a store. Even though the owner was busy with other customers he didn't rush through or make anyone feel stressed. He answered all my questions and even told me if the plant he sold me starts to over run the tank, don't throw it out, bring the extra back in to him and he will buy it from me. In my opinion he had a large selection of healthy fish to pick from, and to my delight a wonderful selection of nano fish. The owner states that I should come back again when he is better stocked!!! I can't imagine, but I will definitely be back. It's a wonderful family owned store!

They have amazing fish and fair prices, vary knowledgeable about their fish. Amazing tank selection. They also have a friendly calico calorie queen cat who is a sweetheart. They also have some good reptile stuff, quality hamster items I haven't seen before, vary nice cat and dog treat selection, plants and unique decorations. Also discount tanks. LOVE roe aquarium.

The shop is family owned and has been in business for over 30 years! I just heard about it this week but am regretting not knowing about them sooner. The fish were beautifully kept, and the staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. They can assist and answer just about any question you have. I am loving the two Golden Marble Angelfish and Cory Cats that I was able to find. 10/10 recommend and will pass the name to others.

Nice place, clean lots of selections and very friendly folks. Easy in and out with plenty of parking. I get freshwater stuff here and never had an issue. The fish always look good.

Love the Betta Fish I got from them, as well as a great selection of aquatic plants. Healthy fish and plants, and a wide variety. The staff are so helpful and educated, really enjoyed discussing hobby knowledge and setup ideas. Will be back!

Always a great experience every time I go in. The knowledge of fish is unmatched anywhere in the area.
I love the fact that it is ran and operated by a local family husband and wife and two daughters make the atmosphere feel like you belong there and even the cat comes out once and awhile in welcome you into their home.

I absolutely love this place. They have everything from fish, cat, reptile, and small critters aquariums. I love there prices , they are extremely reasonable pricing. The owners always on site and them and their daughters are very knowledgeable in what they sale. If thwy don't have it (which I doubt) they will help you get it. Love the crew. I try and visit once a week but sometimes I'm there 3xs a week.

My parents got their fish from this store and now I do. The amount of care they show here is second to none. They care about these animals in ways a certain competitor I know doesn't. They don't squeeze giant fish into 10 gallon tanks. They are reasonably priced for the most part. Tons of variety. The owner is knowledgeable and very friendly, never hesitating to help or answer a question. They have an adorable store cat that is very sweet. Beautiful displays and tons to offer. This store for me is the bar I base all other stores on. It's diverse in fish, decor, food, and equipment. But beyond all that, they respect these animals as they deserve. They aren't just a dollar sign and bring so many joy. Thank you guys for everything you do. I plan to stop by after work.

Very helpful and knowledgeable. Well-organized store with everything you need to raise healthy fish. I've heard many great things about Roe's, and my own experience with their fish is a very good one. The level of attention to detail, care, and customer service is unmatched by any of the other pet stores around. Highly recommended.
