U-Haul Moving & Storage at University

Awesome staff, they came through in a huge way! I was on a cross country trip with the family and had a major issue with our U-Haul trailer’s wheel (2 snapped studs). They replaced the studs and lug nuts in less than an hour. Best of all we didn’t have to unload the trailer which would have been a nightmare. Definitely recommend this place. Professional service at both the front desk and from the gentleman who performed the repair (wish we got your names).

Mike the service technician did an excellent job installing hitch. All staff were very helpful to customers needing storage or rental. Also creative to customer needs. I highly recommend this facility for hitch installation, storage and truck or trailer rental. They work great as a team. Thanks

John was great. Stopped in to get propane refilled. Enjoyed chatting about cooking BBQ. Ask him about doing chicken on a propane grill. We both agree it taste rubbery. Great service great people there.

Fantastic customer service here. The General Manager is a delight to work with even at 8 AM on a Saturday, and he made the morning of a hard moving day much better! Super easy pickup and dropoff, definitely recommend.

Smooth interaction nothing bad to say about them. They were extremely helpful and the price for the car dolly was good. I'm a little confused reading the bad reviews from others as I didn't experience anything negative from the company. Might have been an off day for both parties involved.

Very friendly folks. They have the best prices on boxes and helped choose the boxes that would be the most useful and talked me out of a box that cost more money but wasn't really better than a standard box. The boxes for all sorts of things. They helped me get the boxes into my car. I was able to get advice about the next steps in my move. Very happy with the service I received today.

This location was not my first choice as there were others closer to me, but nobody had any available trucks for the times I needed.
Very friendly staff and quick. Rented my truck and was out the door within 15 minutes. Truck was running w/air conditioning already going. Would definitely come back to this location even if the other's were available.

We rented a trailer from another Peoria location on Knoxville, and the trailer, when delivered, had a turn signal out. We were told we had to go to the University location to get it fixed. Anthony at the University location was AWESOME - he came out and diagnosed the trailer light problem (turned out to be a problem with the trailer light controller on my truck) and he did everything in his power to take care of us. One of the few times I have felt like someone really cared for me as a customer! If you are renting truck or trailer in the Peoria area, make sure you use the University location (Behind Golden Corral). Anthony and his guys will take great care of you, and you will waste more time than it is worth working with one of the "satellite" locations - just go to the MAN first.

I've rented about 4 trucks over the past few years from this location. They have the best selection of boxes and trucks and the most stream-lined, professional pickup/return. As a bonus, they are always kind and patient with me, even when I'm in my super-stressed-moving-everything mode.

booked a trailer hitch install a week before the install date. the hitch wasn't there when i arrived, but anthony made some calls, found the hitch and got it up here from springfield so i could get on the road.

When I was moving from college and was stuck in a pickle the staff was able to help us out coming up with a solution and allowing us to get a truck to move me back home. Thank you so much again. Highly recommend.

i have used these guys twice they were great. i was getting ready to call them for the third time when i saw the bad reviews. i had to voice my opinon....

I made an online reservation on my phone and thought I had set it up for a one way trip, apparently I had set it for in town. Instead of sending me away, they called around to other locations find a truck that would fit my needs.

The store is conveniently located. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. The equipment is in great condition and well maintained.

We have used this U-Haul store many times for work and they have always had the truck size we need and been really helpful.

Always very helpful and great service. Same gentleman at the counter every time and he is very efficient at running this location.

Cheapest price to refill your propane tank in town. 15 bucks from empty for a 20lb tank.

Very helpful with moving supplies, and it’s cheaper than other places.
