Ed Brown’s Wharfside Gallery

You shouldn't leave Boothbay Harbor without a visit to Ed Brown's Wharfside Gallery!! I cant imagine not stopping back next time I am in the area! We stumbled into Ed's gallery and he immediately made us feel like we had known him forever. Not only is Ed a fantastic artist but he enjoys people! He has a wonderful sense of humor and two very comfy shop chairs. Everyone entering is greeted with a smile and if you are a local he will introduce you to everyone in the store. But regardless of Ed's gregarious personality, his Maine prints and paintings are beautifully detailed, colorful and capture the essence of Maine. He is a very talented artist! And Ed will tell you all about each piece of art ..giving the art some meaning to both of you. In my experience, most artists are not personable like Ed. On Sat. we perused the artwork and talked to Ed. Then we went back on Sunday and literally waited hoping he would open which he eventually did. We bought one painting and 2 prints. That day, we met his charming wife Susan..an artist as well ..and clearly the more focused one of the pair. You will see Eds work sold throughout Maine but here in Boothbay Harbor is where you can find him..in the Ed Brown Wharfside Gallery across from Fishermans Wharf. It was a lovely end to our mother daughter my 60th bday trip. Thank you Ed! Hope to see you and Susan again next year!

We've purchased beautiful, custom art from Ed Brown and his wife the past few years we've visited Boothbay Harbor and consider it a highlight of each trip. Ed is so thoughtful and generous! We look forward to going back next time we're in the area.

Ed's art is beautiful and I'm so excited to take some home with me! The prints are perfect and come matted. Ed was extremely friendly and we felt so welcomed in the store. If I ever find my way back to Boothbay Harbor, I will be stopping in again.

My boyfriend and I loved stopping into to Ed’s gallery this weekend! We NEVER buy art but wound up walking out with 4 prints and debating who gets to take them home first since we don’t live together 😂 his artwork is simply breathtaking. Ed was so friendly and we really appreciated talking with him. The next morning we were still talking about the art. Oh and he gave us great suggestions on where to check out in the area that we were able to visit which were also breathtaking!! Thank you Ed!

Every time we come to Boothbay Harbor we visit Ed Brown's Wharfside Gallery to pick up a print or two. There's so many beautiful choices, and you can frame them easily at home with standard sized frames. Ed is great to work with, and he even doodled on the mat which made the gift even more special. Be sure to check him out next time you're in town.

We went to Ed’s after seeing some of the watercolors she had around her house. My wife and I went there and bought a few for ourselves. They are amazing! We found one that is a boat with the name of my wife’s skincare company “Sandpiper” (sandpiper.biz) It was perfect to hang in her office. Ed was great to chat with which made it fun to shop there with him and his wife. Highly recommend going in!

Ed’s shop was a delight! His images are simply perfect! I stopped in because I love nautical art and almost every piece that was for sale was just that!

If you are looking for that special piece to add to your collection, make sure you stop in! Especially if you are a baseball fan!
