The 50's Diner

Great and classic Restaurant and gift and shop store, feeling like 1950's. I'm living in Lombard ill. My wife and kids are visiting Peoria we looking around to the area and found this beautiful and classic Restaurant 50's Diner, we love it. Great service and attention. We recommend this Restaurant 100%, we come back again for more for that Restaurant. Thanks guys. Great job. 👍

It's actually been a couple years since we've eaten here and I feel like the store part was new but I'm not 100% sure. I thought it looked great though, I enjoyed looking through the items that they had for sale in the store while we waited for our name to be called. We waited for maybe 20 minutes or so but it flew by pretty quickly. I think we were getting there at the tail end of the lunch rush. They were out of gravy and french fries this day but I know lots of things are short supply everywhere so it wasn't a big deal there were plenty of other things to choose from on the menu. I ended up going with the chicken and waffles and I was not disappointed! The chicken strips were so big I've never actually had a chicken strip that size before and the fact that they were hand breaded was even better! The waffle came out in a cute little flower design and it tasted fantastic. My son also got the chicken strip basket with tater tots & loved them. Our waitress was super friendly and we really didn't have to wait too long despite the fact that they were really busy. She was attentive and got us boxes when we were ready to go and practically $10 a meal wasn't horrible at all, we will definitely be returning!

I love the 50’s Diner. There’s always really nice people in there, not just the customers but the staff as well. If you walk in by yourself, you may choose to sit up at the counter next o another person who walked in alone. The staff is so polite and all of them have such a good sense of humor. They are almost like family. They not only remember us but our children and grandchildren as well. They have a wonderful menu and all the food is delicious plus you can get breakfast all day long if you tend to sleep in. I highly recommend this place and know if you stop by, you will continue to go back. Oh, and if you like onion rings, order the onion strings. They are to die for!

Food and service great as always. A lot of regular customers. Very busy. Friendly staff . Party of 6 in and out in about an hour. Including a short wait for seating. Emily was our waitress. She interacted with us. Very nice. She made sure all our needs were met. I highly recommend this place. In peoria I would consider this a landmark breakfast spot. Their hashbrowns are definitely the best around. Update. Another great meal and service from the 50's diner . The owner came to our table. Made sure all 7 of us were being taken care of. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend !!
Stopped in again this morning. Once again. Awesome breakfast. Friendly staff. Got our food hot and fast.

I had breakfast and the eggs were cooked to perfection! My daughter had a hamburger with french fries. Everything about the breakfast and lunch was delicious! They give you decent portions and the price is also decent. The place itself looks amazing! Plus, there's a gift shop! Definitely going to come back. Needs more than five stars!

Plenty of free parking and handicap accessible entrance. Friendly staff and clientele. Menu was what you would expect from a 50's diner. My partner had a breakfast shoe and I had a route something, it was two eggs, toast, hash browns, with bacon and sausage links. My eggs were perfectly cooked, the hash browns were a little crunchy overcooked, the bacon was delicious and the sausage links were tough and chewy. I did eat it all and it wasn't to bad. I'll stop in again sometime soon.

The food was great, the coffee was hot. But the best part of my experience was the opportunity to meet Charity and Blake! Didn't realize it but I think we had lunch next to the owner as well? She was pretty cool...

It was great. Food was fresh,hot, and yummy. Our server Patty, provided us excellent service. She was friendly and pleasant.

Had a great breakfast/lunch in Peoria. Horseshoe breakfast with biscuits, hash browns, eggs and gravy was very good. Biscuits were soft, tender and fresh. Loose meat sandwich was very good with mustard, pickles (onion optional) and sweet potato fries was enjoyed. First time for loose meat and had great flavor.

First time we were there. It was a lot of fun to look back on old things I grow up with. The food was great and service was super. The waitress kept checking on us. Fun to have great service and no excuses for not doing their job. Well worth another visit.

The staff is very friendly and the food is delicious. The atmosphere is wonderful and if I lived closer I'd probably come more often.

It's one of the nicest places I have eaten at in a while. Great value, I might add as well. Go and enjoy

It's been a few years since I visited last. The food and atmosphere was the same as I remembered it. It was was a very nice experience! I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a good meal anytime you visit!

We came in with 40.minutes til close and everyone was welcoming and made sure everything was great for us with no rush!! Oh? And fantastic food as well!!

It’s has been so long since I ate inside a place. They had signs out front telling of being short staffed and asked for patience. Yet they were super fast, the food was great and hot. Also very well priced. Highly recommended.

First time we ate here and it was a good experience. The service was amazing. Would of gave all 5 stars but the pancakes werent very good

A hidden gem that always serves hot food at very reasonable prices. The servers are richly experienced pros who are friendly and attentive. This is a place Where locals frequent, especially for breakfast.

Very affordable prices for such large portions. Not only is it filling, it's delicious and made fresh. My coffee cup was never empty.
