I go here and dine alone about every other weekend. I have never once had bad service. I usually go on Saturdays but switched things up a little and went today, on a Sunday. The parking lot was jam packed! It took me a half sec to realize it was the church rush. I expected to be there a little longer today, which I would’ve been ok with. The restaurant about to full capacity but I was happy to see they had a few of the single booths open on the back wall, so no wait at all to sit down. The kid that works as a host up front is very welcoming and hardworking. I’ve never had to wait longer than 60-90 secs to be seated. Both servers that work the weekends are great too. I really didn’t expect to be in and out as quickly as I was today but those girls are on it every time. I get the same thing whenever I go and it’s always delicious. The butternut squash and andouille sausage frittata is phenomenal! And the lemon vinaigrette on the greens is one of best dressings I’ve ever had in my life. I always eat every last bit and leave feeling very satisfied.

Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. B&G’s are top notch!

My wife and I have been going to all 3 local locations of Childers Eatery in the Peoria area for many years. The food is just as good today as it was when we first step foot in the Knoxville restaurant some 20+ years ago.The place is always clean and the food is comes out Perry quick. Great place to eat.

Childers is always great and has options for brunch and dinner, sweet and savory, and vegetarian and vegan options. It's a nice atmosphere for family, friends, or just a nice meal on your own. The drinks and bar options are a plus. The food is always tasty and they have options that other restaurants do not, especially brunch places.

Amazing food, friendly service. The waitress went out of her way to make me some awesome sweet tea! The bacon and eggs were perfect! I'm not sure what kind of bread they have, but the toast was fantastic also!

Wonderful staff and a delightful environment. The food was some of the tastiest food we've had in a long time. The shrimp and grits was delicious and the biscuits and gravy were perfectly cooked and delicious. I recommend this place for everyone.

Friendly service, clean establishment, very nice food. Sausage gravy and biscuits are house made, shrimp and grits had quality ingredients as well. Egg cooked perfectly and clean tasting bacon.

One of the fastest and warmest breakfast I had in a long time. Our waitress was very courteous and pleasant. We will be back again.

A clean, quiet place with some great breakfast options. I really enjoyed the Southern Benedict, and the pancakes were fluffy without being spongy.

Great place!!! The smoothies are so yummy and cute. The coffee comes in a self serve pot that they refill. The meals were great. The portions are great. The staff was great.

Came there with my family, 10 of us. The food was good and the service was even better!!!

We very seldom get the chance to get breakfast in Peoria, but when we do Childers is the must stop go to place for the best breakfast in Peoria.
The menu is eclectic and different. The flavors are blended perfectly, meals prepared quickly and served piping hot. The pico de gallo is fresh and as good as I’ve ever had.

Delicious! Our food was outstanding. I ordered the forest berry lemon French toast! Lemon poppy seed bread with strawberries, blueberries, blackberries with lemon curd. OMG it was fantastic. Husband ordered Broccoli Gouda bacon omelet. Best omelet he ever ate! Highly recommend. Great attentive helpful service too!

The best breakfasts. They have unique combinations like the lemon Berry French toast or the blueberry walls with peaches. For the not so adventuress they also have the tried and true breakfast meals.

First time eating here and will definitely be back. Delicious food and amazing service loved our server she was great! The salted caramel latte was amazing

The friendly staff are always the best part of visiting this location, however, I love the unique take on Chilaquiles at Childers and get it every time!

The food was phenomenal. I had the Country Benedict and the wife had the traditional eggs Benedict. The biscuits and gravy were very good. The fresh squeeze orange juice was the topping on the cake. Can’t wait to try more items. It all sounded good.

This review is mainly for the location on N University St in Peoria, IL. I only go at this location lately. I have not been for a long time at the location at Grand Prairie Mall. I stopped going to the Junction City location after the two in a row extremely bad service and cold food. The University location it is a great diner which probably has regulars. Great service, great food. I usually get the breakfast, they are all very good

I was very surprised by Childers. The selection and creativity of the menu was really refreshing and exciting. I need to go back to try more! The quality was great and service was impeccable. What more could you ask for?
