Hi ! Thank you for reading my reviews! I'm happy! This cafe is unusual. The cafe is located on the site of an old car service station. In Europe this is unthinkable.. There is definitely the best coffee within a 100 mile radius! There is no design, but the atmosphere is beautiful in its simplicity! I would add small cups of expresso coffee and desserts with sponge cake. I recommend visiting!

Was looking for a place to meet a friend that was between her and my house. Found Hansa’s on Google Maps and was excited when I saw all the coffee options, alternative milk options, and pastry options!

When you pull into the parking lot it seems as there is not enough parking, but as you drive further back you’ll see there is enough.

As you go to right of the garage doors you’ll enter a small little coffee shop enough for maybe 10 people to stand comfortably and a small lounge area for about 4 people to sit and wait.

As you are greeted by the pastry display case you get to choose from so many different items.

I chose the Meyer’s Lemon Scone and a Chocolate Chip Cookie. The scone was perfect! I enjoyed the sweetness of the lemon drizzle on top. The Chocolate Chip Cookie was really good, but not my favorite, still looking for the best in Chicagoland.

My friend purchased a Cinnamon Roll and a Caribbean Pecan Muffin. She devoured the CR right away and enjoyed every bite. It seems to be a popular item.

We both ordered the Cold Brew with Oat Milk. It was so smooth and delicious!

Overall this place was amazing and I would drive the hour to go here often.

I also really loved Libertyville! It was my first time visiting, but won’t be the last!

Absolutely delicious coffee. If you’re a coffee snob, this is your spot in Libertyville. Pastries were good, coffee was exceptional- and atmosphere was clean and modern! Highly recommend!

I loved the Spring Thaw so much I went 3x in one week to get it. I also bought the Southern Belle loose leaf tea for myself and a friend. I'm going to make my own orange simple syrup at home to recreate myself since I don't live close. Happy I found this drink.

My coworkers and I wanted get coffee after lunch. Was a great idea!

Food: I normally don’t get coffee. I got the iced Chai which I really liked. The cashier really helped my friends and I pick great options.

Service: Our cashier really was talkative and offered up options for use which we really liked.

Atmosphere: Or ambiance like it call it, was really open and welcoming. The staff at the shoppe really made comfortable!

Overall, I have to say one of the best coffee staff and shops I have ever been to.

Great coffee and fair pricing compared to other local roasters. Hansa sells their coffee in 1 lb bags vs. other places that normally sell 3/4 pound bags for the same price. They also have great snacks, lots of seating, and delicious pour-overs. I've ordered pounds of coffee from Hansa for over 10 years and the quality has been positive each time, and I've even turned coworkers and friends onto their beans. Look to a local shop like this for stocking your home with great coffee.

can’t promise the wifi will keep up with your meeting, but can promise your coffee & the barista making it will be top notch. great seasonal drink options, the best donuts from down the road & lots of space now that they’ve renovated! it’s my favorite spot to walk to with a friend ☕✨

The area to eat is chill with a printer and amenities. Nice family who cares about their establishment. The coffee is very rich in taste, and I know it is real. Starbucks got nothing on this place.

Was in town to visit family, and by luck stumbled upon Hansa. Loved it so much, now I have to move to Libertyville.

I'm serious. If anyone knows a spot within biking distance of Hansa I could move into.... it's that good.

Love the chilli p coffee with cayenne 😍 granola muffin was heaven! Great sitting area and friendly and helpful folks! Lots of single origin coffee options of you're into that!

This coffee place is truly wonderful. It boasts a spacious hall for those looking to work or study. Their coffee selection is impressive, and we tried the Flat White and Daily Brew, both of which were delicious. The extra hot request was handled with care, reflecting the considerate staff's kindness. We also enjoyed the lattes we ordered. The place offers various coffee-related items for sale, including beans, machines, and merchandise. The staff is not only welcoming but also efficient. This place certainly lives up to its wonderful reputation, and we'll definitely be returning for their delicious and comforting coffee. Overall, they're doing a fantastic job. Keep it up!

Everything about our visit to Hansa was a delight. The lady who took our order was patient and kind. The order came out quickly and at the perfect temperatures. The drinks were not too sweet (something that bothers me elsewhere), but there was also sugar and simple syrup to the side for those who prefer a sweeter treat. I got a lovely chocolate croissant and my husband got the chocolate chip bread. Both were good, but I was especially impressed that the bread wasn't overly sweetened or greasy. Would gladly come back next time we're in the area.

I absolutely love this coffee shop! The service is top-notch, and the coffee is consistently amazing. What sets it apart is the incredibly friendly and welcoming staff. Everyone who works here is so awesome. I'm willing to go out of my way just to enjoy a cup of coffee here. Highly recommended!

The product, retail location and people are all amazing! I’ve had the pleasure of buying Hansa coffee for six years now from MI and my first visit to the retail store in Libertyville was the exact reason why we love this company. Great coffee with a touch of a hometown feel and first class taste / service! Kevin, Tom, Jan and Justine were superb hosts.

Very cool place I'm told it was an auto detail shop before it became a coffee shop there's places to hang out computer terminals everything you need if you want to have a quiet place to get some work done and a cup of coffee
