Kyle Brock is amazing! These boots are a work of art. Truly, the finest custom-made boots I have ever had in my 57 years.

Love the man , love his boots! Have had over 6 pairs of boots made by Kyle. EVERY pair fit GREAT! Looks fantastic. Nothing but complement's from every one. Cant help you on the time.. took one pair 3 years to have made, sure hated the wait but loved the boots! If you want instant gratification, i go to wallyworld... you can have a pair of boots now, hope ya can wear them for 12 years like the quality , comfortable one of a kind, hand made's... whine about the price of ponies... not at a man that is an artist! Thank you for the wonderful boot's!!

I ordered my boots and placed 50% down and my boots were shipped to me inside of year (6 months) which was ahead of schedule. The fit and finish of the boots is great and they are breaking in quite well. I wear them almost every day.

People need to calm down this was copied off their fb page "HEY Y'ALL!!! Mercer Boot Shop will be closed from today, January 13 until Friday, February 3, as Kyle is in Fort Worth at the rodeo! Thank y'all for understanding & come visit us in Fort Worth!!!" Hope after you get your boots you change your review...carry on.

BUYER BEWARE. This man will gladly take an order and a cash deposit and does not deliver a product. We ordered boots in January of 2020 and STILL do not have them (writing this in December 2023). Kyle does not respond to phone calls, emails or text messages. This is a scam. Do not spend your money here.

Ordered boots from Kyle 3 years ago. Gave him a hyde I wanted the boots made from. He was very nice. Never heard another word from him. Can’t reach him. Very sad example of a Texan who shouldn’t be trusted. In the end I just wanted my hyde back but never could reached him. He robbed me!

My husband and I ordered two pairs of custom boots at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo in January 2020. We started reaching out to Kyle in September 2021 to check on the status. I sent messages via FB Messenger, called, and my husband emailed him directly. No response, no boots. We even had the FWSSR reach out to Kyle directly. He quickly responded back to them that he was out of town, but that he would contact us the next week. Guess what? Crickets…no response. We are now going to be filing charges with the DA of Tom Green County next week. From other reviews with similar complaints, I see this is his M.O. We are committed to not letting him steal from anyone else and get away with it. It’s really a shame that he has run a successful business in to the ground.

Shameful. NO boots. NO (none, zip) customer service.

The owner Kyle measured me for boots. I placed an order and paid 50% down. Kyle said the boots will be ready in 1 year.

In 1 year the boots were not ready.

1) I called and left a message. No one called me back.
2) I emailed. No response.
3) I sent a letter. No response.

I repeated #1 and #2 above 3-4 times and still NO response over a few weeks. Finally I called a neighboring store asking them to go next door to JL Mercer and request that Kyle to call me. (The lady next door snickered and said I was not the 1st one to call her and ask for her assistance.) Kyle called and said there is a little stitching left and it will be done in a few weeks.

I called in a few weeks and went through the ENTIRE scenario again above. The lady next door went over to ask Kyle to CALL ME. Kyle said AGAIN, there is a little stitching to be done and then will be finished.

In a few weeks...........nothing. Again no response to my calling and leaving messages and no response to my emailing him. We are well over 1 year and got my Discover Card involved who gave me my deposit back.

AFTER all of this when Discover Card got involved, I still could not get my boots finished. I was told it will be done again in a few weeks. It did not happen.

So, NO boots, NO returned phone calls (other than when I asked the lady next door to go over and ask Kyle to call me), NO returned emails. Just repeatedly empty promises and I wasted well OVER 1 year and got NOTHING but a heartache from all of this.

When JL Mercer was owned by the prior, original owner, J: Mercer's reputation was made and was GREAT! That is why I went with JL Mercer. But this new owner has a lot to learn.

I have no idea of this new owner Kyle makes a good boot or bad since I could not get any boots from him even when giving him well over 1 year.

This is the 1st time I ever wrote a negative review. And it bothers me to do so. Give him a try if you like but you are now forewarned.

Ordered 2 pairs of boots from this guy on Feb 14th 2018. Gave him $1000.00 deposit. Today is 2 June 2020. Was told to wait 18 months. It has now been 28 months.. Called this guy numerous occasions. Now have to take legal action to get refund. DO NOT ORDERR BOOTS FROM THIS GUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ordered boots in 2017. Paid in full. It is 2021. I do not have the boots. Do not order from here under any circumstances.

Read the other response at a 1star. My experience was the exact same except after 2 years I recieved my boots and guess what! They don't fit!!!! Very unsatisfied customer!
