Old Town Books

What a fabulous find in this town. Such a wonderful selection of books. I enjoyed that the staff have made their recommendations with little hand written notes about what they love about certain books. Nice place to just sit back, relax and soak it all in. The staff are friendly and more than willing to share suggestions. Looking forward to my next literary find here.

Old Town Books is one of our favorite spots in town! The atmosphere is cozy and I always feel welcome when I walk in. Selection in store is great for adults and kids. If they don't have what I want, they order it and I just stop back to grab it in a few days. Military discount is a huge perk too! Excited to try their kids' monthly book subscription for a Christmas gift.

I’ve gotta say, this bookstore was an amazing find for my wife and I here in San Angelo! Though the selection is limited to the size of the store, they obviously carry all the favorites that a reader is looking for and all books are brand new! Normally we drive to Abilene for Books A Million or San Antonio for Barnes and Noble so having this local option for us is amazing! Will definitely be returning regularly!

We absolutely LOVED old town books!!! Its the perfect little nook for book lovers. The space is simple but elegant, they had a good selection of books, free coffee (with recyclable cups which I think is awesome) and their kids area is amazing. My kids loved sitting on the bean bag seats, and my oldest just sat and read and had a blast in there while I browsed the store. They have an outside sitting area which was really nice for a sunny fall day. The whole store was well decorated, along with the antique beautiful furniture pieces, the owner threw in her personal touch with pictures of famous novels hanging on the walls. I seriously love everything about the place. I use to love Hastings book store and my husband and I used to go on coffee dates there while I shopped for books. I've been missing a store similar to that, but Old Town Books is even better. It had a cozy and homey feel about it that I love, and it is officially my new favorite spot downtown.

I’ve come here a couple of times and love this place. They’re a great local business and are definitely a little charm of San Angelo. I recommend this place to anyone. They’re also great about getting books in if they don’t already have them. Come check them out!

Old Town Books holds a special place in our hearts, and my husband and I will deeply miss it as we have recently moved away. This independent bookstore has such a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for book lovers to lose themselves in. Joe and the dedicated staff, always attentive and kind, made our visits memorable, offering great recommendations and engaging conversations. Their passion for books was infectious, and their assistance in finding the perfect reads was great. As we start a new chapter, we will very much cherish the memories and the sense of community that Old Town Books provided! This was our favorite place in San Angelo to visit.

Adorable little indie bookstore in West Texas! We drove all the way from Odessa, TX. The staff were friendly and helpful. They do a children's story time on Saturdays. They also offer a rewards program and flat rate shipping to order from their website, but we will continue to make the 2 hour drive because we enjoyed it so much.

Love the books and atmosphere; mostly all of the signed edition books. I appreciate the help from the staff there as well; extremely helpful and friendly.

Joe is great! Kept checking in on us, very sweet to our children, and I love the recommendations from other customers on some books.
We can’t wait to attend our first story time tomorrow!

I love this bookstore! It is evident that the literary selections are made with thought and care, there are lots of sales and events, and you can find both what you were looking for and things you didn’t know about but might love! The staff are great as well; they always have great recommendations and will let you know what is discounted and/or new that day. Be sure to check out the table featuring local authors when you go!

Very friendly staff, very welcoming, great atmosphere. Been dreaming of a local bookstore ever since Hastings went under. I hope they are successful and continue to add events, more author presentations and even a writer's workshop or community book club would be great. You can tell this store is something they are passionate about, and for those of us that love books, it's a much needed addition to the town.

Full of a great variety of books for everyone in your household! The displays are very interesting and I understand they change often to fit with seasonal occasions and holidays. Very impressed that if they don't have it they can usually order it. T-shirts, onesies, bookmarks, mugs, and totes along with other things every book nerd needs! I WILL be back. Often.

A quiet, refreshing oasis of bookstore charm. The location is in a part of the downtown local business district, housed in a quaint, long-standing building that includes warm, red brick walls and high, tiled ceilings. The best part of this bookstore, besides the wonderful in-store selection and their friendly online presence, is the caring staff. A visit here is well with your time!
