Lynwood Inn

Just returned from a wonderful 4 days visit to the Lynwood Inn. There are new Innkeepers, Kathy & Dan, who are just the nicest and most accomodating people. They truly make you feel like a family member.

We stayed in Room 1 which had recently been renovated and it was just perfect for a family of 4 plus a dog-- yes, they are dog friendly. The room was spacious and clean. Had a very beachy feel to it. There's a kitchenette w/a full sized fridge! We had a really large porch too. The location is very close to Short Sands Beach (may be a 5 minute walk). I understand they have recently renovated another room and during their quiet season, will continue renovating all the rooms. The price is just right here too. I really can't say enough good things about this Inn. Definitely worth checking this place out! You won't be sorry!

I stumbled upon the Lynwood Inn while looking for a place to spend a few nights with my daughters as a final trip before my oldest leaves for college. From the moment I spoke to Cathy and Dan I was blown away by their warmth, welcoming feeling and accommodating willingness to make our dates work! Upon arrival my daughters and I were blown away- the room far exceeded our expectations- it was newly renovated, had a full size fridge, a cook top, was airy and beautiful and had an amazing porch for us to enjoy. The location is amazingly and perfectly nestled between Long and Short sands beaches and a short walk to Nubble Lighthouse but is also peaceful and quiet because it’s set just enoug off the main path that there’s no traffic. It’s absolutely heavenly. On the day we checked out we were fortunate enough to see Cathy as we left and we had a lovely conversation which left me feeling like she was more family than owner of an inn we rented from ❤. I can’t wait to return again many times over and I am beyond grateful that I stumbled upon this hidden gem. Thank you for providing us the perfect place in the perfect location for a wonderful family trip.

Such a sunny and positive experience!! Innkeeper Cathy was so welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. Room was comfy parking was great. FANTASTIC location!

Very spacious room with a nice clean kitchenette. Very comfy bed with very nice sheets. They were kind enough to let us into our room early, which was extremely helpful. Easy to get to the town and beach. We would definitely return

Cathy the innkeeper made us feel like we were visiting family. The hotel cost and proximity to the beach can’t be beat. They have added a seating area with a fire pit and grill. There are fridges, microwaves, and a two burner stove in all of the rooms. Although the rooms are a little dated, we have been coming to the Lynwood for years and love it here. We can’t wait to return next summer!

The Lynwood Inn was a dream come true for our weekend stay in York! Cathy was absolutely stellar and we felt truly cared for the entire time that we were there. The location is perfect, just a couple of mins from short sand beach, the rooms are spacious and the balcony was lovely. We will absolutely be coming back!

I rented a room here for the winter in 2014. (Little late on my review 😄) but I just wanted to give one because it was one my my favorite apartments I have ever had. The landlords were so nice and welcoming. Though it was small it was very quiet and peaceful. I highly recommend this place! Especially if you love living near a beach!

We love it here been coming here since I was 19 love it has switched owners but new owners are awesome like family very friendly and love to get up get a coffee and desert for breakfast . Beautiful people who run it very clean and love location. Very nice to our family

Todd and Tracy, the owners were extremely nice and extremely helpful. Went on a trip to York Beach Maine for a vacation. Being from NY, we didn't really know what to in town. They were very helpful in suggesting places to eat, walk around, and see. Amazing water pressure and the room we stayed in was the perfect size forour family of 4 adults and a child. Great location close to the beach and the Nuddle Lighthouse, both within walking distance. We will definitely be staying here again when we take another trip up.

The staff was beyond amazing. They gave us a tour and we’re very nice and understanding. The room was huge and perfect for the price. They have coffee and snacks in the lobby. Would definitely go back.

My wife and I have stayed at the Lynwood multiple times through the years and it's always great. The summer of 2020 definitely had it's challenges for any hotel but Todd and team did a great job to make sure we were comfortable & taking all precautions. I can't wait to stay there again!

Currently staying here and loving it. The innkeeper Todd is awesome and provides a very homelike atmosphere. Everyone welcomes you as soon as you walk in the parking lot. The room is very large and clean, for the price you can’t beat it. Will definitely stay here again, my fiancé and I love this place.

Super cute! Our room was clean and set up very nicely. Loved it. We were here for a wedding and everything couldn't have gone better. No stress. Easy check in and out. Thank you so much!

I stayed one night booking the day before and was pleasantly surprised to get a large "junior suite" of about 220 SF with a queen bed, balcony, kitchenette, full size fridge and more. All in prime August vacation season walking distance to short sands beach for under $200

Beautiful room, literally a block from Short Sands Beach, although the mattress was a bit hard on my back, but overall a fantastic place to stay in York!

Great stay, with great people running it. While they were understaffed, it felt like I was getting the best service there. Highly recommend! Very good people!

Excellent service, very friendly and just minutes from the beach. Full sized fridge, kitchenette and nice seating outside. 10/10 will stay again!

I loved this hotel so much but the rooms were kinda small but it was very close to the beach
