My Kind of Town Bar...the owner went to Loyola and DePaul...she recently purchased this St. LOUIS Cardinal bar & is turning it into a Chicago Cubs Bar....with Chicago Beefs & other Chicago Staples on their way!!!

I’m asking if you would get into shipping, out of Wisconsin the company named cheese Brothers I ordered their cheese all the time but what I’m really missing is yours one time not too long ago well several years ago I should say, you shipped to me and trusted me to send you a check, which I did. I really really want your garlic, horseradish cheese that you make, how can we make that happen?

The atmosphere is a great atmosphere and they have welcoming staff I love this place because it keeps me very happy and calm and it's a chill spot to take your family

What a great place. They serve bonafide Chicago-style tavern pizza. Cracker thin, crunchy crust cut party style. Good stuff. It leaned to the sauce heavy side. The fancy cheese was as good as people say it is. A neighborhood bar from way back, though the neighborhood has left them behind. Glad to see a Peoria institution such as this survive.

I had not been to Castle's Patio in over 10 years and I forgot what I was missing. The cheese spread is still amazing (we bought 2 pounds to take home). The Castle burger was also great. The burger is on the smaller side but with the free cheese spread and crackers we left very satisfied.

Went with a friend for few beers and some food. Loved it. Had a lot of history to it and owner even shared pictures with us. Loads of beer and drinks choice and our food was really good. It really had a local bar feel to it which I think is great

The food at Castle's Patio Inn was SPECTACULAR!!! I have to admit that I have a giant soft spot for local neighborhood "dive" bars. I just love the ambiance, the people & the honest feeling of family in these types of places! And on top of ALL of these things, Castle's has some of the BEST food around! The meal begins with an in-house recipe Garlic Cheese spread & crackers - don't worry, tubs of this deliciousness are available for purchase to take home 😁 Then, you can move on to an appetizer of some of the BEST Friend Pickle chips EVER, followed by a main course of their famous Chopped Pork Belly sandwich, boasting the most tender, flavorful meat there is! On weekends, Castle's also offers Brunch menu items like homemade tots & Loaded Biscuits & Gravy. I highly recommend this place, so please don't be put off by the lack of a parking lot! There is usually plenty of on-street parking available.

Haven't been here in ages. Read in the local paper about the new chef. Went in to give it a try with the family. Absolutely on point. The collard greens are smoky delicious. Mac & Cheese was perfect. Chicken tang sandwich has a mustard based sauce that puts any chicken sandwich to shame. Pot roast is like grandma made. Everything is clearly made from scratch. The cheese spread is still the same and awesome as ever. Definitely on the repeat list. Congratulations to Chef Shaun & Castle's. Can't wait to go back!!!!

It just looked like a small house, but it's BIG on flavor. They have an awesome cheese spread, super awesome cheese curds, and their house cheese that they used on my burger was outstanding. If you like cheese, definitely check this place out. They also have some very good soulfood out there as well. We honestly didn't know what to expect other than we knew we liked cheese, so when we got there, and food came out fast, and hot, with pretty great service, especially toward the end of business I gotta give it perfect 5, but I love tasty cheeses so I could be biased. Yinz should just go there and find out for yourself whether they cut the cheese or not 😉

Been coming here for over 10 years. When we moved in down the street and found this gem of a neighborhood bar within walking distance, we fell in love with this place. The food is fantastic...lots to choose from.
Alex behind the bar is always ready with your drink or a great story.
The bar is cash only so plan ahead. And make sure you take some of their great cheese home for the rest of the family.

The people here are great. They will absolutely make you feel right at home as soon as you walk in the door. Factor in the surroundings and the mood and anyone could have a good time. It's a great place to relax and chat as will as catch a game on TV. The food is really good and made to order and their cheese is absolutely addictive. Highly recommend anyone swing in for a drink or a bite.

Love coming to this restaurant pub been coming since I was a kid. Great food and service Abby was amazing and the new owner Jake is amazing. They are doing a great job at keeping a classic place alive.

Prompt, friendly service. The cheese spread here is a Peoria legend. You can order the typical bar food with a few surprises. The soulfood dinner can satisfy the biggest appetite. I tried the lunch version called the soulfood lunch which is potroast and two sides. I chose the collard greens and cornbread. The potroast was succulent beef deliciously seasoned. The collard greens were mild and tasty. Even if you don't like greens I would recommend trying these. Lots of things to like on the menu and the clientele are friendly. Kind of cramped inside. Parking is on the street.

Small place with great service and cheese dip. The food was good and they were very nice to us. They have a nice bar to have drinks and watch sports.

Localy owned with a neat history. This 70's era restaurant and bar is iconic in it's own right. Dont be afraid to park the car and go in. Everyone is treated like family here. Staff truly makes visiting this place ever more worthwhile. Food is always prepared correctly and drinks are top notch. Reccomend ordering a fish dinner or pizza. The rest of the menu could use some updating but then again it's the 70's. (Non ADA accessible)

If you are looking for that neighborhood tavern feel this the place to be. A local landmark with s great cheese spread they are well known for. Excellent food, great service and very reasonable prices.

Absolutely amazing St. Pattys day lunch! Corned beef was so tender and tasty. They recommended the perfect ale for the lunch! Such a great meal for a very reasonable price!

Since moving away from Peoria, I often wish I could get some Castle’s Patio Inn cheese spread 🤤 It’s a must-try and overall a Peoria icon and fun little place to check out!
