Shoney's - Morristown

My son and I dropped in starved half to death lol. The service was great! They Kept the drinks full and checked on us several times. Buffet was really good with a salad bar as well. Love the lemon juice bottle! Will definitely be back!

It had been awhile since I had been to this shoney's and they did not disappoint!! The food was fresh (to be fair they were very busy) the bar stayed full! They have done a little freshening up in the dining room and it looks so much nicer. We had a very delightful server...her name was Leah and she was such a good server!

So I haven't been to Shoney's in many many years, and I don't know why. It was really yummy 😋. I gotta say I waited a long time waiting to be seated, almost left. And that would've been my last time there. I'm glad I waited around. I also thought it was expensive. Being it was only half a buffet for breakfast. The other half was salad bar. Honestly can't figure that one out 🤷‍♀. Maybe lunch next, I don't know

Great ribs and fish on the salad bar that day. All was fresh and well maintained. Staff very friendly and kept checking to see if I needed anything.

We love the waitresses and the food. This is a super clean Shoney's. The grandkids love it there, and I love they always find something they want to eat on the hot bar.

Had not been here in years. They did not disappoint. The bbq chicken was FANTASTIC. If you want lemon in your water, no fear of lemon peels as the put lemon juice in containers for you to pour in the water. We will be back!!!

Haven't been to a Shoney's in several years...still good food and reasonably priced.
We both had the salad bar, and everything was fresh and well stocked.

We came late in the morning and were pleased that breakfast was still UP!
Every item on the buffet was good and the serving temperature was right on!
Prices are reasonable too.

I really enjoy eating here.. My son enjoys this place as well.
the staff is easy on the eyes and pleasant.. at least now that they fired the one nasty drunk waitress they had..

Buffet Bar was very clean and Orderly. Very attentive waitresses, Great Atmosphere. A+++

We had the breakfast buffet. It was good. The servers were attentive. This is good family restaurant to go.

Everything was great. Good was awesome. People were so friendly. Clean, inviting.

We had a great visit to Shoney’s! The bar had a variety of offerings and the service was great!

Been eating at Shoney's for years and it is one of our favorites including this location. The food is always very good The employees are nice and helpful We are greeted with a nice attitude and we like the atmosphere as well. Good price for all you can eat buffet our favorite is Breakfast they have really good Breakfast!

Service was excellent. Salad bar is great. Breakfast bar was just ok. Atmosphere was only a 4 because they sat a big group on a 4 top too close to us. There was better tables available. We felt crowded. There was only 2 of us at our table

We ate the buffet. It was good. The buffet was clean, but it wasn't busy either. Loved the music.

My husband and I have not been back to a Shoney's since the bad experience a little over a year ago until tonight, 8/18/2023. We were hoping that within a year's time, things would be better. Well, I am happy to say that not only was the food and service better, it was remodeled! Ok, so some paint, clean walls, different pictures, and a nice waiting area may not be considered "remodeled", but in my book, it does! Cosmetic or not, it looks 100% better in the restaurant! We were greated by Robin who was also our waitress and she was great! Although we got the bar, she always came to our table to make sure we were OK, filled our drinks on time and even checked us out! Not only that, but the manager on duty, Jacob, was busting his tail to make sure the salad and hot bar looked spotless! He made sure there was plenty of food and it was hot! The ONLY thing was the chicken wings as they weren't as hot, but they were good! We left Shoney's of Morristown happy, full, and thankful and we will go back!!! Thank you, Jacob and Robin, for making this a great, belly- full, first time in a year visit! We'll be back!

My husband and I have lived in Morristown all of our lives. We remember how Shoney's USED to be, all family style and cozy and great food! Restaurant was always full!. We go to Shoney's for the hot bar and keep saying to each other, "This time it will be better!" Sadly, it has not been better. We ate there Thursday night on 5-18 around 6 because we thought if we got there when supper time was, everything would be hot and fresh. The salad bar hardly ever disappoints, but the hot bar has disappointed us the last 5 trips. Last night, the fish tasted like it had been sitting out since lunch and not warm or hot. The meatballs were very cold and the only thing that was the least bit warm were the potatoes and gravy. I opted to order off the menu as I knew how the hot bar would be. Chicken tenders and onion rings shouldn't be a problem. The chicken looked like it was barely cooked, but the onion rings were good. Our waitress, Mikala, was nice and cordial, but there was a lady that I presumed was the manager kept walking around like she had absolutely nothing to do and kept going in the bar putting her elbows, arms all over the bar. She kept talking non business to the lady that was trying to put fresh hot food out (after we had been there an hour) and didn't act like she gave 2 whoops about anything but her conversation. Management has been an issue there for quite sometime and after last night, we will not go back to the Shoney's in Morristown. I had to talk a day off of work Friday my stomach was hurting me so badly! We did not talk to the manager or a manager because didn't think it would do any good A good manager, in my opinion, should always check the temperature of the food if it has not been switched out in an hour. I'm sure if the food inspector came there unannounced, that place would fail. I know it's hard to find people that want to work, but if Shoney's in Morristown wants to stay afloat, they need to find new management!
