What a special place this is! We were privileged to be guided by Ms. Peggy, one of the founders of this incredible museum. She has so much passion for keeping local history alive and sharing stories that would otherwise have been forgotten. The museum is well-organized and maintained. It is a small museum, but with the stories behind some of the artifacts that she shared with us, two hours flew by and we had such an amazing time! Please ask for a guided tour when you visit :-)

We took our 2 grandson's, they were redoing some stuff, But we're going back as soon as possible!!!But what a grand time we had,Please everyone should go at least once,or like at least 10 times, I love it,and U Will Too!!!!

Great place with lots of local history and one of a kind artifacts. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Talked to one of the owners and she was a plethora of knowledge andinformation. Definitely worth more than one visit and it's great for kids, especially those that like trains.

Great place for local history. They walk around with you and tell you about things your looking at, and answer any questions you may have. Really enjoyed, we plan on going back.

A scaled model of the city showing White county in the days of old with running train is part of the many treats you'll see in the small, but informative local museum.

The ladies that work there are very knowledgeable about everything in the museum. They are very nice and helpful when you have questions they will know alot about the area and the times in which their exhibits are exhibiting.

So glad we visited this history rich little beauty! We learned so much about Sparta, White Co. and the wonderful community and people who lived here, then and still👍🏼❤

Great museum. I especially enjoyed the section on railroad history in the county. There's even an HO train layout depicting the county.

This is a very cute and random little [emphasis on small] museum with a lot of interesting information about White County and how it came to be!

The people that work here couldn't be nicer and no one kicked me in the chest and yelled "this is sparta" like on that movie 300. 10/10 would revisit
