They have all sorts of medicines, vitamins, etc. We love all the different plant-based and organic options they have. Always a friendly and helpful staff to help us find what we need.

Good staff, very friendly and not afraid to say "i don't know" rather than push for a sale that could be all wrong for someone. They are so nice to me. They will pull the items I need from the shelf and have them ready upfront so whoever I send to pick them up just tell them who theynare picking up for and they are done and out the door in mere minutes. Really helps for a lunch break pick up. No time wasted and leaves time to actually have lunch. I highly recommend this shop.

I was extremely pleased with going here, called and had my questions answered before I even left my home, got there and it was a super friendly and welcoming environment , made me feel comfortable and right at home, didn't make me feel like I was out of place, it was my first time ever shopping at a organic herbal shop, and I was really pleased with everything, the young lady greeted me immediately, came and assisted me, explained everything to me in detail and layman terms so I fully understood what I was buying and it usage... Fully focused her attention on me and helping me find a solution to my issue, just from beginning to end, it was a fabulous experience!! I would highly recommend this place to others, don't judge , give it a try and visit, keep an open mind and you will have a great experience to!! Not to mention it's a local business and I'm all about supporting local businesses!! Also they are at the Open Air Market held on Friday afternoon/evenings here in Wilkes across from the old courthouse... Check them out!! 💜💜

Absolutley wonderful experience. I didn’t get the name of the girl that helped me but she was very knowledgeable in everything I needed help with. I will definitely be shopping there again. Also very nice that it is a locally owned and operated. Would highly recommend this establishment to anyone.

LOVE THIS PLACE! One of my favorite places to visit, I get in the door as often as I can. First the staff you will LOVE them!! Ask just ask these ladies can point you in the right direction.
Not only do they have a ton of vitamin and heath care products in the store~thank you instant gratification~they will order me anything I can't seem to find. Yay Gluten Free Section! Cool weird beers. Not to mention organic meats in the cooler/freezer section.
Don't forget to check around the registrar before you check out there's always some kind of organic goodies that temps me. I always have to add something after I'm all totaled up, I'm such a pain but they are always super nice about it :)
Neat collection of Food Documentary DVDS, I've picked up a few.
Only place in town with the large bottle of Dr. Bronners Soap! Tea Tree is my families favorite smell but lavender is a close second.
Now that its Summer I'm enjoying the Soothie Shop in the back even more! Some really healthy options and some immune boosting add-ins.
Whole place has a real general store feel to it and the build is super old and has lots of history (visit dooleys next door to see photos of the old hotel) very cool.
As you can tell I'm enthusiastic customer but this place does rock!

I only had a minute to stop in today but I can tell this store has exactly all the kind of things that I enjoy. If I wasn't on the verge of bankruptcy I would have spent all kinds of money there. Instead I got a beverage.

A shockingly complete health-food store, as it were.

I stopped into Mother Earth Foods rather at random, while passing through Wilkesboro, and I was surprised to discover a full-featured health food store. This place had it all: not only a big, satisfying selection of quality foods and supplements, but even several hard-to-find items, such as niche herbs and amino acids I'd previously only seen available online. There was a little cafe, too, equally impressive, with smoothies and juices and all manner of non-junk-food treats. What's more, the folks behind the counter were genuinely warm and friendly, as to match the store's soulful decoration. Cool :-D

I had zero problems while at MEF, and if I'm ever back in Wilkesboro and in need of some food or supplements, I know where I'm going.

I agree the store lacks greatly in customer service. I'm in the age group who has money and are very willing to spend lots of money on health products. If I walk into a store, especially a small business such as this one of which I know I will be paying much higher prices, I expect to have some sort of conversation and friendliness from staff. That does not exist in this store the few times I've been in the store. It's unfortunate but I will simply go back to online shopping. Mother earth is high priced and if you're going to have high prices you better have excellent customer service. I even asked twice for the manager to call me of which they never returned the call.....she was too busy. That also is very poor customer service. I suggest you hire people who know how to carry on a simple conversation. It's a very small store so it's not too busy that employees can't take a moment to be friendly. Good luck.

We visited, staff just ignored us. No one back at smoothie bar. Staff needs to greet customers and assist if they can.

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS PLACE! You are purchasing at your own risk. If you like the feeling of yard sale and flea market shopping AND paying over retail, this place is for you. If want to shop at a place that will treat you like a valued customer, make the drive to Boone or Winston. I try real hard to support local business and I was thrilled to see this type of place so close to my home. It's very sad that they don't know how or care to run a decent business.
