Our family highly recommends Hanes Lineberry Funeral Home & Guilford Memorial Park. Alan Sells and Lauren Jennings were wonderful to work with. Their compassion and professionalism made all the difference in the world. Alan helped us with the many details related to planning for the service, he had patience with our daily emails regarding all of the last-minute changes we made for the service, and he was amazing on the day of the visitation and funeral. Alan showed flexibility, concern, and sensitivity for my mom, who has Alzheimers. Lauren constantly followed up throughout the process before, during and after the funeral. What a wonderful team they made! We are so grateful that my parents chose Hanes Lineberry many years ago when they began planning for their funerals.

The staff at Guilford Memorial Park were excellent at providing services during the recent passing of my Mother. Their care, kindness and professionalism made things so much easier at that difficult time.

Neil Whitaker and his team were some of the most thoughtful and compassionate people I’ve encountered. They went above and beyond to help my family through a very difficult set of circumstances. There are not enough praises for Brian Williams who helped me make my decisive and appropriate end of life plans. Brian is the perfect combination of professionalism and compassion, and instantly put me at ease discussing a very sensitive, yet also very important undertaking. Never once did I feel hurried or rushed weighing my options, but most importantly, it was obvious that helping people make such emotional decisions isn’t just a job to Brian, it is his calling. Neil Whitaker and Angela Carter, treated my family with the utmost respect during the loss of a wonderful Husband and Father. They displayed care, warmth, compassion, patience to ensure we understood how the arrangements would be carried out and they made us feel at home knowing that they would take care of everything. At a time in my life when I was so sad and upset about the death of my mother, I met Mr. Neal Whitaker at the Hines and Lineberry Funeral located on Gate City Bivd. Mr Whitaker called me and arranged to meet to plan my moms service. He had it all laid out so easy to follow and understand. He made a difficult situation so much easier for me and my family. At times like this you have no idea where to start nor what to do. He made us feel at ease and took time to explain everything. Everything for our mother's funeral was perfect thanks to the professionalism of their staff. Ryan Bumgarner was very detailed and proficient in every aspect of the funeral and his communication was excellent. The bulletins were beautiful and with high quality. Not only were they professional, they also were personable. After the funeral was over, I left blessed and thankful that we had honored our mother with grace and dignity.
