Black Bear General Store

Black bear is a pleasant country store that our family (nearly) always visits every time we take a trip to Blue Ridge Mountain. The owners are super friendly and we just love the things they sell.

The garden bench they sell is of excellent built, and don’t ever forget to buy their bacon jam, it was delicious!

And while you’re at it, don’t forget to buy their shirt, hats, apples, ciders and all manners of unique stuff!

This is a fantastic place to stroll through and find unique and one of a kind items. A great variety of snacks, jams, drinks, and condiments. Don't let this place get by you as you travel towards Blowing Rock. You will see it on your right just as you come around the bend. Enter it into your GPS so you don't miss out. Happy travels.

Stopped by this cute country store after a visit to Blowing Rock. Enjoyed the pumpkin bread, local apples and huckleberry ice cream! Yum!!!

The jams are very delicious, make sure to buy lots of them. The furniture are also awesome. Clothing apparels are good, they have many selections.

Such a neat place to visit. They have hand carved statues and concrete fountains and benches. Some items are pre-painted. They also have food items inside the store.

One of my favorite places to stop. During apple harvest season, they have the most variety and the apples are quality. They also have an excellent selection of homemade jellies. You must stop.

I'm a resident and this is still my favorite store in NC! The people have been pretty much the same for years. They remember us whether it's been 2 weeks or 8 months.

Always stop to visit when I'm in the area. Local apples, jams, cheeses ice cream. Lots of statuary for outdoors, saw about 5 or 6 pieces I wanted if I had a place for them. Just about anything you want. Got me a walking stick. Very friendly staff. Bathroom is a port-a-potty in the parking lot.

I bought a soup cup here months ago when I was there and next week will be visiting Blowing Rock again so I’m planning to stop to buy another couple soup cups! Loved the unique items.

Great spot to pick up gifts for friends and family, huge selection, my personal fav is quart of the blackberry honey with comb. i allways wish i would got 2, lol.

I had the best experience visiting this store. It has so much to offer so I ended up buying a long sleeve t-shirt, local honey, jams and sweet potato butter! Kay was so sweet to me and shared some beautiful spots to visit and take pictures. I will be coming back and recommending more people to visit!
