Quanto Basta Italian Eatery & Wine Bar

Lovely Italian restaurant, delicious food, warm cozy atmosphere and fabulous service. Highly recommend. Oh and cocktails - most excellent.

A few friends recommended this restaurant to us. We ordered take out. Veal Saltimbocca and Shrimp Scampi Risotto tasted really good, nothing like you would have in the other restaurants here in Winston. However, be aware, this is more of a traditional Italian restaurant, ie, small quantity per course (primi and secondi). If you are expecting an American-Italian style here, you would be at the wrong place. Also, there is a packaging fee for take out. Overall this is a nice but pricer restaurant.

Very friendly and nice place to have Italian dinner. Our hostess, Samantha was very polite, efficient, and on top of things. We enjoyed the food. We had ordered chicken parmigiana, eggplant parmigiana, shrimp risotto, giardino pizza, caprese salad, and dessert. All the dishes were very well prepared and the presentation was excellent.

Locally owned and operated makes a tremendous difference for dining out! From the time we walked in to the time we left the experience was top rate! The service was friendly, timely, and efficient! The small plates were perfectly portioned, delicious flavors paired with specials on Thursdays. Crispy and fresh salad, then saltimbocca for main dish. The cappuccino was fabulous and creamy along with the light mini olive cake. Bistro atmosphere like in Europe.

Boyfriend and I don't come here often due to weird schedules and limited parking, but everytime we've come here it's been absolutely fantastic. Classy, laid back atmosphere, great and knowledgeable wait staff, and fantastic food.

We have wanted to eat here forever, and just happened upon Thursday night, half price bottle night! Loved the ambiance of the side patio, gorgeous beams and high ceilings. Excellent service and the food was delicious. Our server had knowledge of gluten free options, and so I got the Roasted Chicken and Gorgonzola salad. Husband got duck and Dad got the special, seafood lasagna. I wish there had been gluten free pasta, but my meal and wine was so good, it didn’t matter. We all splurged on dessert, tiramisu in pint mason jar, chocolate mousse and I got some divine vanilla gelato with crunchy mint. Really special place and very reasonably priced. We’ll be back!

Wow wow wow. Delicious gnocchi and wine. Half off wine bottles and charcuterie boards every Thursday… amazing! Highly recommend!

Wow...first the service...wendy was GREAT! We followed some of her food suggestions and had wonderful wine and drinks with friends. Highly recommend the braised short ribs and gnocchi.

Being from out of town, it was great to have a place that is so welcoming.

I have been here several times now and it is always delicious. The pizzas have my favorite crust and tomato sauce in the area (maybe anywhere?) All around the drinks, the food, and the atmosphere are great. (Pictures are from a special, ticketed event and may not reflect what’s currently on the menu)

My wife and i visited here because all the pictures on their website looked so good. We got a cheese sample plate to start, which came with Romano, parmesan, blue, and mozzarella, some crispy bread, plum and some other jam, and some walnuts. some really great flavor combinations. Jams were exceptional, as was the mozzarella. Good amounts of cheese too. I got a featured pizette, pepperoni, and my wife got braised short ribs. She said her dish was excellent. Pizza had some great flavor but in my opinion there was too much cheese on it. My wife also had the lemon spritzer which she said was excellent. We got there right when they opened at 4, so service was quick for us. The server was very attentive and friendly. The restaurant was really nicely set up and clean. Overall a great experience.

I can't say enough about how good this place was. Food was great, brownie dessert was delicious. And the bread!!! Such a cozy atmosphere. Cassandra, our server, was so excellent! I highly recommend it!!

Awesome Italian eatery with great ambiance. Service was prompt and helpful. Food was authentic Italian and freshly prepared. Price point was more than fair. A hidden gem in Winston.

Simple and delicious! The stuffed focaccia bread appetizer and tagliatelle pasta were out of this world good. You can tell the chef really cares about putting out quality food and a delicious product. And our waiter Rob was so nice, knowledgeable abt the menu and attentive! We just went for a quick bite but were blow away and will def be back next time i town.

Russo’s Chocolate Bar was my choice for an after dinner drink. While I didn’t have dinner here this particular night the service was great and the bar at the time was quiet. It was a Saturday evening and with ACC basketball the focus and no televisions there was no crowd. However, the atmosphere of the restaurant and what I’ve had on the menu in the past have been great. I’ll certainly be back again.

I randomly walked in here leaving another place (review to come) because I love a good wine bar....

Service - Wendy was my bartender/server and she was amazing! She made excellent recommendations on the wine and a great dessert alternative since the cannolis were sold out.

Drinks - there’s an amazing menu for wine here! I’ll definitely be back to try more. Tonight I had the Chiarli Lambrusco.

Food- the Orecchiette was soooo good. If you’re vegetarian this is an excellent dish. I’m pescatarian, so I added the sautéed shrimp to mine. So much flavor.

Atmosphere- romantic good music and family friend ... is this possible?? LOL (the kids were at the pizza bar! (So cute)

Overall - I recommend

We came in at the end of the evening but they still served us as if they had all the time in the world. The restaurant was so cozy, classy, and had such a romantic vibe to me. My husband and I both got the Canneloni al forno and although it definitely needed salt (which we added ourselves), it was SO good! We also got the crab/pork belly dip and it was awesome as well. We will definitely be back!

Great Italian eatery. The chicken parmigiana was excellent. Their pizzas were superb. The salads were large and tasty. Will definitely be back.
