Dr. Burnett Hanson, MD

My mother went for a consultation with Dr. Hanson because the option of driving to Jackson everyday for 4-6 weeks is not desirable. After meeting with him, my mother would rather drive the extra miles than be under his care. He was abrasive, rude, inconsiderate, and very arrogant. He may be knowledgeable, but he comes across as an insensitive person who has little regard for the patient and whose empathy has taken a backseat to his ego.

The doctors and nurses in Jackson were very professional in the way of “If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything.” But it was obvious that this wasn’t the first time they’ve received negative feedback about Dr. Hanson.

I pray that this review, while negative and very critical, actually gets seen by the doctor before it is deleted. I pray that Dr. Hanson recovers the childhood dream that made him want to be a doctor and reconnects with the reason that his services are sought after. Medicine exists for the people, not people for the medicine.
