Highlander’s Grill & Tavern

I admit my expectations were relatively low as we didn't do any research before stopping in and I LOVED this place. The burger was freaking delicious and Stephanie was a fantastic server. The side salads were huge and super fresh, too.

Food was amazing! 10/10! I recommend the Mahi Mahi meal!

The Customer service from waitresses could have been better, also there should be a dress code of some sort considering one girl was in pajamas, one was wearing leggings you could see through with a crop top - not that it matter just unprofessional and hard to see who works there vs who is customers walking around.

My friends and I came here for a late lunch after our Grandfather Mountain Excursion today. We were looking for tavern/pub food that would fill us up well enough since we didn’t really eat breakfast. The place was pretty empty but probably because we came at an off time (around 3-4pm). The service was excellent overall and so were the food portions. We all left happy and full. The food was delicious, especially the fried pickles. My vegetarian friend with us appreciated having a few vegetarian options to choose from on the menu as well. I also thought the coffee mugs they served coffee in were so cool I bought one and they let me. If I’m ever in the area again I’d definitely stop by here for a bite to eat again. Thank you all so much for your kindness and attentiveness toward my friends and I today!

This place is hands down the best bar/restaurant to go to in the area! The staff are absolutely great, very friendly and all around great people. There is also a few bar games like pool table, darts, hunting game and Punching game. I even saw some claw machines! If you want to just relax and grab a drink/food than definitely give this place a try!!!

Stopped for lunch St. Patrick's Day weekend. The interior surprised us a little... Nice bar but not a fancy place at all. No booths. The service was great, the food was quick to come and was delicious!

Lilly was an amazing bartender and she is the reason why I ordered the tavern mac melt. It was amazing!! I'm definitely going back. The atmosphere was great... Everyone was really nice.

My husband and I stopped in two times on our three day trip to the mountains. Service was great - we sat at the bar both times, had a few drinks and grabbed some food. Food was good both times (chicken sandwich & pup pretzel). We loved our bartenders both times & wish we had gotten their names! Definitely suggest :)

Just a bar/restaurant at 4 in the afternoon. Food was better than we expected. Service was good. Staff was friendly. Karen's fried brussel sprouts are fantastic (if you like roasted brussels). I got their Highland Philly. It was pretty good actually. ... Would have been better with some hits, but still good considering we are starters away from PA. My friend got their teriyaki chicken wings and really enjoyed them. If we were ever in the area again we would definitely go back. There is a small stage in the corner so they probably have entertainment in the evenings or on the weekends.

Great atmosphere, great food! The food was hot and quick, despite it being a full restaurant. The bar made great drinks as well. We enjoyed our time here and Mikayla was a great waitress and took great care of us.

Husband got the buger and commented about what a quality buger it was. I ordered the side garden salad and Philly and Cheese. The salad was as fresh as it could possibly be. Comparable to fine dining salad. I also enjoyed the sandwich but found the Au Jes a bit salty. The wait staff were attentive and worked together nicely, taking care of all customers. I'll be back and would certainly recommend to others.

Came in late on a Sunday. Bartenders were friendly and helped me decide on an entree. They recommended the cheesesteak, burgers, and fish & chips.

I got the fish and chips. It didn’t come with any tartar sauce initially, but thankfully they had some in the kitchen. It was really good.

In town the week for work, and really enjoyed this place. Food was good and service was great both times I visited.

As a Milwaukee native it's really nice to find a place with PBR on tap.

My family and I came in here and ordered a Reuben Sandwich, the chips with balsamic vinegar and feta cheese, the fish and chips with sweet corn nuggets, and omgosh, really good. The food all came out hot,. Everyone enjoyed our lunches.
The ladies restroom was clean, the restaurant was overall clean, you can have a drink or eat and music boxes you can listen to.
We decided to give it 5 stars.
We will come back. Oh, and the waitress, she was great, informative about the items on the menu. She checked on us several times, even though she was busy that day.

A good place to go with a good variety on the menu for a pub. Service by Bree H. was excellent - pleasant, attentive - making the experience much better.

Great service. Very good food! We had 8 in our party. We all got something different and everyone was very pleased with the food!

Leland was attentive, knowledgeable, and impressive. On A busy night, he managed to do it all! He was focused and sharp remembering everything we asked for while also making us feel right at home. The Jalapeño poppers excellent and not too spicy. The balsamic Tavern chips were unique and decent. I appreciated the creative idea for the chips. The salads were perfect. Thank you Leland!

Awesome evening, stopped in for one beer ended up having chicken wings and more beer. We happen to be sitting next to the owner Dave and his food distributor Blake, They made us feel so welcome with conversation and many laughs. Cati our bartender was awesome. Jimmy the cook even made time to come out and meet us. The chicken wings were the best we've ever had. We are returning for dinner tonight. We live in Florida and on vacation, because of this establishment we definitely will return to the area.
