Excellent food and amazing experience. I am a Cajun from New Orleans and I give this food my seal of approval. It was incredible to get a taste of New Orleans in a small town in Mississippi. What a treasure!

There is a wealth of culinary skills located in this quiet little town. Everything we ate was of the highest quality. Awesome bloody mary, onion rings and poppers like I've never had before and then the fried shrimp NOLA poboy with fried okra and then the strawberry cheesecake. And a pic with the owner and Chef! What a special place!

This is a community staple. A genuine masterpiece and an experience for people worldwide from all backgrounds. The atmosphere is colorful and amazing. If your passing through Magnolia Mississippi don't miss out!

DELICIOUS!!! Came randomly to this place by looking at the reviews while driving from NOLA to MS, and it didn't dissapoint. Great burgers and po-boy sandwiches and local and latin food. Would recommend to come by the little city of Magnolia to enjoy this restaurant. SIGAN ASÍ, ES UNA DELICIA.

Found this little place on GPS- sat down with 3 min until closing (unknown to us). They were so friendly and reassured us it was fine and the food was delicious! Would recommend to everyone!

We found this great place. Food was fresh, handmade, and served by very friendly staff. They have several menus and Mexican is on Thursday night. The chef is Columbian and came out to greet us. Worth the drive.

My coworkers and I were in town for work and our first dining option was permanently closed (we didn’t know until we were at the location). We searched for another dining option and was intrigued with La Mariposa’s menu items, so we went. We all loved the environment created by the atmosphere and the staff. The atmosphere was very welcoming and our server provided the kind of service and professionalism you would expect from a michelin star restaurant. Food was really, really good. To find such menu items in a small town was very surprising, but the taste was even more surprising. I had the hamburger steak which was perfect to me: perfectly grilled on the outside for that slightly charred flavor and soft, tender inside full of seasoning and awesome flavor but not at all salty. The prices were very reasonable as well! So earlier I mentioned we were in town for work. I needed my receipt to be able to be reimbursed by my workplace; however, I forgot my receipt. Mr. Carlos to the rescue! I contacted them the next night and explained my situation. Mr. Carlos was very attentive and patient and was so very considerate and understanding. Without hesitation, he stopped what he was doing to help me with my ridiculous request. Thanks to his help, I was able to get the receipts I needed. Amazing restaurant with amazing food with even more than amazing staff and management. By the way, even the side salad was top notch!

Out of the way in the little town of Magnolia but well worth the drive. Excellent food outstanding waiters and the honey mustard dressing was a 10 We will be back.

Great service and food. We were just passing through and didn't realize they have a Mexican menu on Thursday's. Host happily brought an American menu upon request and followed that up with a 3rd menu with specialized burgers on it. Servings were filling and best part was they had fried mushrooms with a light, non-greasy batter. VERY GOOD!

My wife and I were travelling from Louisiana to Jackson, and decided to stop in Magnolia to grab a bite to eat. We were surprised to find a restaurant so stylish and uncommon as La Mariposa. The atmosphere was uniquely relaxed and bohemian, and the menu was diverse and inspired. We sat adjacent to a window, and had a lovely view of Magnolia's sunny streets. The quality of our food was excellent, smelled and tasted fresh and clean. We spoke briefly with the owner, who was warm and welcoming. We found ourselves not wanting to leave, for how pleasant the experience was. I'd absolutely recommend this restaurant, and i intend to return very soon.

What a delightful experience! The food was fantastic, and the environment was absolutely amazing! Mercedes is super fun and friendly!!!! Loved it! If you have never been here, you are missing out.

Terrific food, atmosphere and service. Truly enjoyed the hamburger steak with mushroom/crawfish topping. The shrimp and corn bisque was to die for as well.

Best food in Pike County, hands down! Never ordered a plate from the menu that my husband or I didn't enjoy. We never have leftovers, even though the portions are generous. The staff is great and the owner is fantastic! Great environment, food & service. I never leave without buying a pint of the owner's homemade salsa.

The owner,Mercedes is a Hoot. She knows Everyone and is a Joy to talk and joke around with. Restaurant is Exceptionally clean , Inviting and spacious.
I would Recommend this Cozy Home place to anyone local or not to go and eat there.
The Menu makes your Mouth Water.

It's not fast food so don't expect that. It's good quality food that you won't have buyers remorse over. The atmosphere is an eclectic everyone's welcome vibe. It's small town and big city cafe. The fried green tomatoes are quite the dream. It's a great place for libations with great food. Well worth the money. Don't miss out those oion rings and be adventurous and try the Bailey's Blue Chips... your taste buds will thank you.
