Hawkwood Farm

I booked three nights at the cottage through Airbnb. I wanted some fresh air away from city life and found this and so much more. The property is gorgeous, the cottage has everything you'll need (and more), and the hosts... well, let me just say that Erin and Angela were the real "fresh air" that I hadn't realized I needed. They're kind and down-to-earth folks who have added their own magic touch to this already enchanted space. Thanks for the great stay and hope to visit again!

What incredible and talented people! Erin and Angela are two of the kindest, most generous people we have ever met. They have a beautiful property with tons of wildlife and animals and even a waterfall! Can't wait to visit again!

Fabulous clean peaceful farm in all kinds of weather.

I would not recommend booking for this place unless you're absolutely sure. 2-weeks ago (Friday morning) I booked for a 1-night camping with my family. Later after checking the weather forecast, I realized that it was going to be below freezing temperature. I have a small child who was having cold symptoms. Therefore, a few hours later (same day-friday) I decided to cancel the reservation. I waited a couple of days expecting to get a refund but nothing happened. After a few days I decided to contact Hipcamp about a refund. They told me that I would have to contact the property directly, which I did. Long story short, I was given the run-arounds and did not get my money back. What a way to loose/waste $59 for nothing and it's not like they had to do anything special to prepare being that this is out in the open field. I am very disappointed with this place and I did let the owners know that for which I received no response and they just ignored my message. Needless to say, I will never, ever book with this place again. I was ripped off of my money within a couple of hours. That was easy money right there!
