Mr Rooter Plumbing

My experience with Mr. Rooter and with Daryl in particular has been exceptional. Daryl has been to my house on two different occasions. On both occasions he has been friendly, respectful and performed his work in a professional and timely fashion. During Daryl's latest visit just yesterday, he went above and beyond in helping us locate and install a new faucet assembly in our kitchen sink. This was important to us because we are hosting a get together this weekend at our home. I will certainly recommend Mr. Rooter and Daryl to anyone and would not hesitate to have Daryl back to my home.

I did not have an emergency, but was provided a next morning (0800 - 1200) promise of arrival.
Daryl called prior to arriving (0845) to inform me he was 15 minutes away, and arrived on time (a big plus for me) at 0900. My problem was addressed quickly and repaired professionally. The service was neither cheap, nor overly expensive. I expect a professional plumber to be paid for their service.
I was comfortable with the explanation and the work done. I expect no issue with the repair, but was assured of quick service were something to go wrong.

No negatives to mention.

Just had them clean out our clogged kitchen drain this morning. They had to run their snake over 20' in. I called around 7:30 am, and they were able to come by 10. They were prompt, arriving within a few minutes of their projected time, courteous, professional, quick, and thorough. They cleaned up after they finished and gave me advice on future maintenance. Reasonable rate as well. Diary was training another young man. Both were great.

Called Mr. Rooter-Frederick after I had pipes burst after freezing. It was during a time when we had single digit temps in the area for over 3 days so they were extremely busy. I called several other companies but they would not even listen to my problem (One company even hung up on me mid-sentence). I called and explained my situation to Gary at about 4:30PM and the plumbers arrived around 7PM. They got me to a point where I could use water in other areas of the house overnight and they returned promptly the next morning to complete the repair. The plumbers were very professional and did great work. I called them again a day later to fix another problem and once again they were timely and priced fairly. Mr. Rooter-Frederick will definitely be my go-to company for any plumbing needs.

As the owner of Frederick Inn Bed & Breakfast, we have many bathrooms and fixtures. We cannot afford to be without water or sewer. Mr. Rooter always provides us with prompt service.

Excellent service. My water heater exploded in the basement at around 9AM; they showed up around 2PM and had it replaced in about 2 hours. They wore booties so as not to track up our floor.

Wonderful service and good prices! They were at our place for 3 days and had to come back for a 4th day, the next day for 2 unrelated plumbing problems.

From the call to make an appointment to the service I received excellent customer service. Daryl and Ralph were the technicians and they explained everything to me, were respectful and professional. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Just wanted to say Daryl and Ralph the whole crew are great came to my home and got the job done that I needed very professional about there work very respectful wore booties that way they didn't track anything into my home very well priced explained everything in a nice manner to me I would recommend these guys to anyone

Everyone I spoke with was friendly and professional, and when they were done the only way you'd know the plumber had been here was that our clog had been cleared! Thank you!

Super polite and professional. Have use them many times in the past and will continue to use them.

Friendly people. I had a leaky pipe by my toilet. Tech came and fixed it. Said someojust needed to be tightened. Took about 10 minutes, $135. An hour later I had no water coming to the toilet. They were closed by that time so I left a message. Got a call message first thing the next morning asking when would be a good time for them to come back. They were here 9am on Saturday. It was a simple fix, but they took extra time to tighten up a couple of other things. Very happy with their second visit, seems like your experience with them varies by who comes to do the repair. I would call them again if I need another plumbing repair.

All we needed was a new tub-stopper installed. I had to take off work because they wouldn't negotiate a different time to come over. When they did come over, they were here for 10 minutes, didn't even touch a thing, and said they needed to order parts and come out next week. We set a time for the early morning (between 8 and 9 AM) and I had to take off another day of work. They they never showed up. The office called me at 2:30PM saying they couldn't make it and would come in the morning the next day. We set up another appointment for 8 - 9 AM and by 9:30 they still hadn't shown up. I called them and they said they would be here in 20 minutes. Surprisingly, they actually showed up. Third time's a charm I guess. But seriously, these people left my bathroom a mess and made me miss 2 days of work (almost 3 of they took any longer to get here). I don't recommend them at all. In fact, I would avoid them at all costs. I would've picked a different company the first time they didn't show up if my landlord would've let me.

Very unprofessional and not nearly what is advertised.

Called at 7pm on friday due to 2 backed up toilets on main floor, and leak in pipes in basement. Daryl tells me the first available appt is 8am tommorrow (on Saturday). Not very happy to leave with leaking pipes for 12+ hrs, but agreed as could not get anyone else at that point.

The next morning 7:45am, Ralph calls and tells me he is on his way and will be there in 20-30 mins. He adds, "Oh, Daryl said he forgot to tell you , but there is a $125 service fee for coming out on the weekends (on top of any fee to fix what is wrong)."

I told him I was not very happy at all to be given that information 15 mins before the appt window, but as had already been 12 hrs and wife was not very happy the toilet was off, so I told him to come out and I would call MrRooter to voice a complaint and try to work out with them.

I called MrRooter and left a complaint. Daryl calls me back. At no point did he apologize, just went on offensive. He admitted and said, "Look I know I didn't tell you about the $125 last night, but I was extremely busy and there was a storm and I had bad cell coverage, I had Ralph call you first thing this morning to tell you"

I asked him about MrRooter claim of 24/7 service and why 8am was the first available slot, had they really been working at 10pm,11pm, 3am,etc in the morning? He replied somewhat angrily, "look I have one technician and he'd been working 10 hrs and he was done for the night at 9pm. I'm not asking my guys to not go home to their family after they've been working hard!"

I asked, If he has one guy, how is he a 24/7 service? He replied that I was getting serviced withing 12hrs of the initial call ... that is 24 hr service. That is NOT the definition of 24 hr service.

He got more angry and accused me of berating his technicians (I did NO such thing, I voiced that I was unhappy, but clearly told him I realized was out of his control and would try to resolve with MrRooter ... which is apparently Daryl). At that point I was angry and did use profanity, to give him an accurate picture of what "berating" is , but I feel his antagonistic attitude towards me 100% called for it. At that point he replied, "well I think we are done!" , I agreed and told him not to have technician come out.

I called Jiffy Plumbing at 8:10am , and they said would have someone out before noon. No weekend/extra charge. They also said they would evaluate and determine problem and give estimate , all free of charge (even on weekend).
