Buddy's Frostop - Destrehan

I always stop at this Frostop every November after attending the Destrehan Festival a few minutes away. The burgers are always great (I recommend getting the burger "dressed"), and the root beer is delicious. My Grandma loved these burgers, she used to live nearby, and it's very nostalgic when I eat here.

I went for the lot-o- burger. It's a thin patty so I get the double. I also ordered a hot sausage and this was delicious as well but could have been a double as well. However I'll definitely get the roast beef like my mother in law and wife. These were really nice cuts of tender roast not some deli meat from a grocery store. The onion rings were incredible as well.

First time at this location it was lunchtime. The food was delicious. The staff was polite and helpful. The location felt clean. The food came out in a timely manner even though they had quite a few people there. I would return to this location. I do not give that many five stars if you go back and look at all my post but this location deserved it. Good job

Food was well cooked , restaurant was clean , the minute I walked in the food smelled great, all the staff seem to be in a good mood,made ordering and eating inside a pleasant experience,

I was going to McDonald's, then I saw this instead. Great decision! I'm having the crab burger with pepper jack cheese, along with onion rings. I love 🤩 it! Full of flavor and just enough pizzazz. I fully recommend it! The onion rings has the original big style. Delicious 😋. Clean restaurant, friendly staff, what more can you ask for?

Always a go-to spot for quick service and good food. Love the Grilled Cheese Burger too!

Delicious food and very friendly staff. Best hamburger I've had in awhile and their famous root beer did not disappoint!!

The cheese fries were waaay over done and by that I mean, it seemed as if they prepared the fries first and forgot them. Then whenever they cooked my hamburger they remembered the fries. The root beer not that great , but I do understand it’s a local favorite. The hamburger was better than McDonald’s at best. I think people show up just to support (again) a local favorite. That’s why I’m giving 3 stars for food and 5 stars for everything else.

The Lot-O- Burger, Onion Rings, Root Beer, and a Strawberry Shake taste great just like it did 40 years ago.

The staff is always friendly, and the food is always good! Be sure to try a float while you're there! (Doesn't have to be rootbeer, you can choose a different beverage to go with it.)

The first thing that stood out when I visited for a takeout order was that the employees in the open kitchen area were complimentary of each other. One guy said to the cook. "Hey I appreciate you" my next thought was how the entire experience for everyone is so much better when we show some appreciation. I have eaten here many times and the food is always consistent and tasty. It's prepared with care and the pricing is reasonable given the inflated world we live in. Will certainly be going back for years to come.

Had a fabulous time. Very relaxing. Water was wonderful. Food was great especially the coconut shrimp. They kept the drinks coming. I would go back in a heart beat. A must go for anyone willing to go

Awesome burgers every time I go!

Consistently decent American pub food at reasonable prices with friendly service. I regularly get the catfish poboy. It has become a routine meal for me. I can’t get them to put tarter sauce on it but sometimes they remember to put packets of it in the bag. If you find yourself in the mood for a classic burger or other homemade favorites Frost stop is the place to visit. Way way way better than neighboring Sports Pubs in all areas, other than alcohol.

It's always great food & great service , they treat everyone in the same kind way ! I'am Looking forward to my next visit....Great People 💯👍👍👍
