Capital Crave

The first time I tried going to Capital Crave I left because I thought it was a part of the VFW. After talking with someone they said it's not a part of the VFW and I should definitely try them. I'm happy I tried Capital Crave again. (You act like you're going to the VFW but use the door on the right)

CC did not disappoint! We did dinner before a movie. We got seated quickly. Our waitress was very friendly. The food was amazing and reasonably priced. Two subs, 2 beers and a soda for $35. We sat outside and basically had the whole outdoor dining area all to ourselves. We ordered the Italian cold cut which came with regular fries. I like how they seasoned them with Old Bay and the cheeseburger sub with potato wedges. All the meat CC uses is from The Mt. Airy Meat Locker and you can tell! 🤤 #shoplocal

Since I know Capital Crave isn't a part of the VFW and has terrific food, I will be back!

We had the Cajun Burger and Bacon Burger (double patty). These patties are actually 1/2 pound. The fries were good. It was quiet and low on staff for a Sunday afternoon, but still they were great and friendly. Affordable too. Not like your big chain restaurants.

I go to Capital Crave when I want wings, full stop. They’re always cooked perfectly and their sauces are all made in house. The real proving grounds for me are whether I use dipping sauce, which I haven’t since I started coming here. Every flavor I’ve tried has been perfect. They aren’t over sauced and you can really tell they’re made in house.

Other big stand out is their potato skins. We crushed those so the pic is of the one lone spud. 😆 I’ve ordered from here at least four times now and it’s always been amazing.

First thing, it will look like you are going to the VFW, don’t worry you are in the right spot. So great burgers with or without the lovely brioche bun, wings delicious but if you’re dining with a carnivore they are coated. My husband’s over easy egg was cooked perfectly. Onion rings are batter fried, not overly coated, absolutely the perfect crunch. Yum. It was a cold blustery day so the restaurant was a little chilly, the only draw back.

Wonderful food, service and atmosphere. Hopefully the new construction and road changes will not hurt their business.

The servers were great. Very friendly. They went out of their way to help with my dietary needs. The food was great. We will definitely eat there again!

Kayla, the bartender, is awesome. She is friendly and very attentive. Food is good. My dad likes their pepperoni pizza. He says nowhere else puts as many pepperonis on their pizza as Capital Crave. My son likes their wings and chicken noodle soup. I usually get the club. Next time, I will try their burger. They look fabulous!

Great hidden gem!
Great variety of wing flavors. The four of us each ordered two different flavors and we all devoured and highly raved over the great taste. The fresh cut fries were also very delicious. Will be going back to try some of the other menu items soon. We had great service and everything came out warm and promptly.

Excellent meal and friendly staff! This was my first time eating at Capital Crave. The decor gave me pause as it's not very modern in appearance. The food more than made up for the lack of decor. I had the American burger with a side of fries. One of the best burgers I've had! The burger was the perfect medium rare (as I ordered it), very juicy, could have used a little more salt and pepper otherwise it was perfect. The fries which are freshly made (and free refills) were perfectly cooked. I will eat here again!

It's always great food and very enjoyable. Always friendly service. I go there for lunch at least twice a month.

My go to place for great wings in Frederick. Usually very few people here, so service is fast and friendly. Great bar drinks, good selection of appetizers. Love their beer battered onion rings and their pizza. Enjoy looking out the large wall of windows that used to view a beautiful golf course but now alas is gone and in the distance new housing is going up. Will continue to return here.

Always good food. Slow paced place but they take time to serve you with good food. Surprised to find that for a couple more dollars per person you can skip the drive thru...

Capital Crave was really good! My girlfriend and I shared wings and French fries. They have a nice selection of unique flavors and tasty originals. The cheese fries were amazing! They cut them small like McDonald's fries and LOADED them with cheese! The service was spot on and perfect and all of our food was served correctly just the way we asked. Really good prices too! Highly suggest!

The food and the service here is great! Love the pizza! Definitely look this place up and try! Chicken wings are great and very big and the sauces(They have a good many flavors) are very good. Staff is very friendly also. If you are tired of going to the chain restaurants and spending $50 just to be disappointed with the quality or the quantity of the servings, look this place up. You will not be disappointed!!!

Outdoor seating is wonderful! Especially on a clear day. The owners have put up sun tarps to shade the outdoor tables. The fare is very good and the host was very congenial. Owner and host have run this restaurant for decades and it is a gem tucked away adjacent to the VFW Post in NW Frederick.

I love the wings here. Always cooked to perfection and well seasoned. Also the chicken cheese steak has always been a favorite for years since it was over there on hillcrest. One day I will venture out and get something else on the menu. Delicious food!

They have outdoor seating! I kept passing by seeing "huh, is that a deck?" Sure enough they have plenty of outside seating and covid sensitive. The burger hubby had was amazing my wings n fries were GOOD. The staff was attentive. The beer were TALL. The views were peaceful. What else could you ask for?! Ok they don't have a website, menu is a picture on Google images BUT sooo worth it. It's a gem in the rough. Please when you go take pics! Support this local business 🍻🧐👍🏽
