The Stewart Reviews

After coming here many times, finally leaving a review. What a gem the Stewert is--we came on Wednesday for the hamburger special--and my husband said this morning that it might have been the best hamburger he's ever had. Which should say a lot, because he's in the Wimpy category of hamburger lovers. Homemade bun, the most savory two beef patties, perfectly done. We started with Rob Roy cocktails, which bar manager Adam made expertly. Phenomenal. And then shared some fried olives and the spring pea risotto. It was a lovely date night. Highly recommend. Kelsey and all the staff are so welcoming, and will help you find the perfect thing to eat or drink.

My wife and I had dinner at this restaurant recently. Both the service and the food were incredible! I spoke to the manager about how great our experience was, and she revealed that her staff was all new. It did not show. They were exceptional! my wife and I will both come back to this restaurant. I strongly recommend it.

And the service is exceptional.

Ah-mazing! Visited when my wife and I were in Easton for my wife's work. I love scotch, but my wife has never really enjoyed it. Our experience at The Stewart changed that for good. Adam and Debra were fantastic guides and helped my wife navigate the various styles from Speyside to Islay, and they also recommended a nice selection of small plates from the kitchen. Everything was delicious (participate the scallop in fashion and the heirloom tomato grilled cheese), and the timing of the plates was perfect. We had a very leisurely 3-hour tasting of scotch and victuals that was amped up by the cozy drawing room atmosphere. We really felt at home. Needless to say, there was an impressive range of single malt scotches, from a basic Glenfiddich to a very old and rare Macallan. I had a heavily peated Bruichladdich that was sublime. We are most definitely coming back!

We went there tonight to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. We got the special treatment. The service was excellent and they went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. The food was absolutely divine. We both had the steak, topped with a balsamic onion sauce, which was served with fine mash potatoes and asparagus. The steak melted in your mouth and the combination of flavors was exquisite. The chef also presented us with a couple of his specialty savory and sweet small dishes, and he came out and talked with us for a few moments. We were treated like royalty and will definitely be back!

My family visited The Stewart last week and had an amazing experience! There were six of us, some of whom were not Scotch drinkers - but who did enjoy vintage champagne.
We were renting a VRBO near Easton and my wife was researching a birthday dinner for me when she ran across The Stewart and it looked like it would be a great place since I like Scotch, but also it could be a special experience for all of us to enjoy given that some wanted to try Scotch, some like vintage champagne and there is wonderful food that all could enjoy. She contacted the restaurant since there were going to be six of us (due to Covid restrictions, most restaurants in this area at this time don't permit online reservations for groups of more than four) and they could not have been more helpful in setting up the dinner experience for us.
The Stewart is intimate, seating around 14-16 at low tables and maybe another 6- 8 at the bar. The decor is reminiscent of an old English estate's den. When we arrived, we were greeted promptly and seated. The staff was wonderful. On being seated, we were offered the opportunity for a drink of scotch or champagne. The Scotch list is overwhelming so Adam, the bartender, asked if we had preferences and we told him to pick for us, which he did after asking about each person's tastes. He absolutely nailed it - finding one or more drams for each to try that matched up with the taste profile given to him and then expanding on it with the next offering. The rest of our group picked out a great bottle of champagne (or two) and were enjoying them.
I think we ordered and shared almost every item on the menu. Our service could not have been better. Everyone's plates were removed or served at the same time by the waitstaff and the pacing made for a leisurely dinner as we ended up spending nearly three hours. The chef and assistant chef came out and introduced themselves so that we could personally thank them for an incredible meal. Our service could not have been friendlier or more welcoming. The bartender loved the challenge of finding scotches for both the experienced and inexperienced drinker. He educated us at the same time and never talked down to us or made us feel that we weren't sophisticated enough to appreciate what was being offered. Although somewhat pricey, I can say without hesitancy that the meal was worth every penny and then some. The service, atmosphere, and delicious food make this a very special place - I live in a large city and we don't have anything locally that comes close to what The Stewart offers, which is even more amazing as it is in the small town of Easton. If you don't drink Scotch or champagne, then you really won't appreciate what The Stewart offers, but for other dining experiences check Bluepoint Hospitality Group for other options.
A couple of days later, we were in the market around the corner from The Stewart and one of the servers recognized us and came out to chat with us, and asked if I was still enjoying my birthday. We responded we had come back to enjoy the full Bluepoint Hospitality experience, which includes Sunflowers and Greens, Bonheur, The Wardroom, the Weather Gage, Bas Rouge, Bumblebee Juice and the Flying Cloud Bookstore, all in Easton.
All-in-all one of the best experiences our family has ever enjoyed and if you are in Easton and have the time and inclination, I can't recommend a visit to The Stewart highly enough.

Wonderful and incredibly knowledgeable service. Great spot for a couple on a busy night to converse and connect or come in on a slow night (my favorite) and explore all of Scotland from your seat at the bar

Most wonderful place. The 2 here are experts at their craft. Came for the scotch and it was unbelievable how quickly they understood my tastes and have perfect selections. Talked my wife into having champagne which when I tasted...wow one of the most amazing tasting things I've ever had. Period. For booze nerds this place is a must.

Great ambience and fine drinks selection. We had a few fantastic small plates and fine beer. We couldn't believe how many different bourbons were on the menu. Very knowledgeable and professional staff. I highly recommend this place!

The food was great, but the stuff was incredible. Constantly changing out dishes, and was super informative. The waitress made sure to protect against a guest's allergies and informed the kitchen staff to separate things.

I finally made my way to The Stewart last evening. I'd heard many great things about the food and ambiance and it exceeded all my expectations. Excellent service (thank you, Deborah)! Excellent food and champagne, of course! I will be back!

If there was a way to give 10 stars I would! This is not the kind of place my wife and I frequent, but it being new years eve we decided to treat our selfies. The fact we even ate there was a mistake and we where going to eat at a place down the street. Well Miss. Deborah made us feel right at home and very comfortable. Oh and the food was absolutely AMAZING, the chief they have does a wonderful job and must love his job. I was able to meet the young man for just a seccond and thank him. It was an absolute amazing experience we will not soon forget. We will be returning and will be recommending this to all of our friends, oh and I would bring my mother's here for what it's worth. You guys may not read this but thank you very much and happy New year!!!!!

All Scotch or champagne, cozy setting, very knowledgeable and personable bartender. While only in for a nightcap after a show in town, food menu looks amazing.

One of favorite places in Easton. All of the staff (Kelsey, Adam and Deborah) are phenomenal. The food is always delicious.

Service is excellent as is the food. Not your typical shore experience so the fried mozzarella stick crowd should look elsewhere.
