California Burritos

LOVE this new mexican eatery in High Point. Everything we've tried so far has been fresh, well seasoned and seriously delicious. They have a nice variety of options as well which is great. The owners are very welcoming and friendly, and it really comes through that they take pride in what they do. Thank you for bringing such a gem to our city, we'll be back for sure!

My wife and I ordered delivery from California Burritos in High Point this evening and we were astonished at how quickly our order arrived. She ordered a chicken burrito bowl with ALL the things while I ordered their signature California Burrito.

This thing was PACKED with steak, warm cheese, fresh pico de gallo, guacamole, sour cream, and even fries all wrapped up in a delicious burrito (see photos). It was truly a flavor explosion in every bite. I haven’t had one quite like it since I was stationed in California.

If you're in High Point and craving a great burrito, look no further than California Burritos. Their California Burrito is a must-try, and their quick takeout service ensures you won't be waiting long for dinner!

Staff were friendly and very welcoming. They worked quickly and efficiently. All employees seemed to enjoy being there. Chipotle or Barberitos type service where they prepare in front of you and you customize your meal as you go down the line. The food was delicious and fresh. All the meat is being cooked fresh on the grill. They don't chop up the meat until you order, keeping it fresh and not dried out. The flavors all mixed together well. We will be back!

One of my homies had been wondering when this place would open, so we finally got to try the food. I've been 4 times and it's been great every time. The staff has great energy, the food slaps, and they whip it up on the spot. Easily a new favorite local place that'll have my business

The High Point offshoot of a Burlington eatery, California Burritos calls to mind the apex version of a national chain. Like a Chipotle or a Moe’s, it offers convenient ordering and lots of customizability. However, its ingredient quality and Californian branding help set it apart.

Though its concept is straightforward, California Burritos offers more than its namesake. You can get a burrito with your choice of meat and fillings, but you can also get bowls, tacos, quesadillas, and even carne asada fries. The offerings extend beyond the expected beef/steak/chicken/carnitas to include birria, shrimp, and even crispy fish tacos.

My wife and I opted for a carnitas quesadilla and a steak burrito for pickup. I was greeted upon arrival, and my order was ready to go. Though I didn’t linger long, I can say that the restaurant seemed bright and clean. The sound of sizzling meat made me feel like I’d made a good decision.

Indeed, the food did not disappoint. Both items were generously sized and well put together. I got a good two-thirds of the way through the burrito before it neared collapse. The ingredients tasted fresh.

At $11 and $12 (before factoring in a guac upcharge), California Burritos runs a bit higher than its competition, but it’s a worthwhile tradeoff for the portion and quality of the food. It probably won’t supplant your favorite Mexican spot, but as fast casual options go, you really couldn’t ask for better.

I have been searching, yearning for authentic SoCal Mexican food ever since I moved back to NC and this place is it. By far the BEST Mexican food/restaurant, not only in high point, but in all of NC. I stand by it. Every bite tastes like I’m back in Southern California. This restaurant wipes the competition, no questions asked. The workers are also incredibly hospitable and friendly and remember faces! It’s such a welcoming environment. Not to mention you can taste just how high quality the ingredients are! Absolutely phenomenal. You must give this place a try if you haven’t. For a first timer, you MUST try the California burrito how it comes. You will NOT be disappointed! I will be coming here at least once a week.

Clean. Everything is so fresh. Started with the California Burrito. Absolutely amazing and delicious. They cook and cut the meat in front of you. Had it just like the menu. Will be back to try the entire menu. One of the best new restaurants in Highpoint! Awesome. A+. Thanks. Will return. One of my new go to’s. Would have taken a pic but ate it too fast. Oh. Steak. And a side of chipotle ranch. Chips and salsa is a little different but amazingly addictive.

I’m in love with the quesabirria pizza and the horchata. I’ve also tried the fish tacos and they were great too.

Loved the food! Service was great and it is defiantly a chill, cool and casual spot. First time had fries inside of a burrito! But again check it out i am sure you will enjoy it as much as i did!

I love a California burrito so of course I ordered one, with chicken. It came with chips and salsa. The salsa was okay, the burrito was amazing. I didn't notice they had horchata until I was leaving, I wish I'd tried it! The atmosphere is okay, the people are sweet.

Visited here for the first time today. Basically like Chipotle, but way better for the same/ lower price. All the meats are prepared fresh on the spot when ordered and everything tastes great. Definitely will be going back.

So far have had the QuesaBirria and the Carne Asada Fries, both were insanely delicious. You also get a ton of food, enough to share. Birria tenderness and flavors are on point. And I love that their fries are so well seasoned so that even if you get any without toppings it still tastes fantastic. Service is always inviting, kind, and friendly. Excited to try more on the menu.

Stopped here for a California burrito. They did not disappoint. Good sweet tea

I've been waiting for this place to open up and they didn't disappoint. I got a burrito and my wife got nachos. Everything was great and we will definitely be back. The one con is that they didn't have fresh jalapenos only pickled. But thats a very small con.

My family has eaten here and gotten take out multiple times now. It has been so tasty every time. Everything we’ve tried has been great,, we are excited to have this spot in HP!

Friendly staff, They are so friendly and the food its just amazing. Definitely coming back after all the cozy welcoming and how good the food is. The one staff with glasses and tall teenager took care of my order and it was amazing seeing them work. 10/5 definitely coming back.

California burrito bussing even the carne asada fries definitely coming back

The guys working were hustling and very attentive. My husband and I got the steak quesadilla and quesabirria they were both fire!!!! Very good place! I also got the pineapple drink and it was delicious.

My family has been waiting patiently for quite some time for this place to open. Let me tell you, it was worth the wait. Fast, fresh and flavorful without compromising any quality.

The Quesapizza was epic. The birria stew meat was tender and juicy. You could taste the fresh herbs and spices through the cheesy goodness. The consomé was rich and flavorful.

The tacos were fresh and the chicken was juicy.

The nachos had tons of toppings. The tortilla chips were light and crispy. The cucumber Pico de Gallo added a lightness and freshness that made these some of the best nachos I've had in a while.

We will definitely be frequenting this establishment regularly. The whole family agreed this could be the best taco spot in High Point.
