The food was excellent. Service was good. The dry rub wings were very tasty, and the roast beef sandwich was delicious! The boneless wings were excellent!! The strawberry salad was very fresh and tasty.

Stopped by on a Sunday night to watch March Madness and try out the famous wings.

Arrived and were seated immediately. Jennifer was our waitress and she was excellent. Attentive and very communicative about everything.

For dinner we started out with the mozzarella sticks. Loved the dipping sauce. For wings we had medium boneless, lemon pepper traditional and honey bourbon bbq traditional. They all had great flavor, especially the lemon pepper. I do have to say that the boneless wings were large. Much bigger in size than you get at other restaurants. For dessert we had the strawberry shortcake and mint Oreo milkshake. The strawberry shortcake was outstanding. We also had the Cancun Crush!

The restaurant is huge. Lots of areas for dinning. Tons of screens and great views from every seat.

Overall a great meal to have while watching sports with excellent service and great desserts!

WOW, Anchor Bars were so much better than I thought they'd be! The wings were amazing, and our server, Bella, was super attentive but not overbearing. I would highly recommend it.

Coming from Texas I know good wings so google led us here. Let's say they did not disappoint at all. Medium flavored flats extra crispy and ask for extra wet. Definitely will be back for our wing craving!

My family is from Buffalo, NY, so we have a thing about chicken wings. We were extremely excited when Anchor Bar opened in Frederick. We have been there a handful of times and are always very impressed. We stopped here on the way back from Harper's Ferry.

Our server was Thomas and he was one of the best servers we have ever had. Anchor Bar is lucky to have him.

We ordered the mussels for an appetizer. My children (9, 7 & 4) devoured them. The appetizer had about 20 mussels, which is a nice size for an app. The butter garlic sauce was delicious with the bread.

We ordered chicken wings - medium & maple flavored. Maple was a seasonal flavor and surprisingly good. We also ordered a kids cheese pizza, kids wings - old and mild. We prefer blue cheese with our wings (the only correct way to eat them). I really appreciated Thomas asking if we wanted our wings a little crispier. His attention to detail was great.

Was there tonight with my family gathering of 11 people to celebrate both my Granddaughters & Grandson's 21st bdays. First time there. A little slow to get our food orders in, but food was excellent & service improved in the 3 hrs we were there. Loved the singer as well! Thanks for a very memorable evening!

We used anchor bar food truck for our annual cornhole charity event and they did not disappoint. The staff working the truck were absolutely amazing! So friendly. We found out the guy who booked the truck for our event no longer worked there and these people stepped up a few days notice and made our event a success! Everyone talked about how great the food was, and how awesome the workers were. If you need a food truck for your event they are the way to go! Reliable, friendly, amazing food. Would 100% recommend.

The best fried pickles we have ever had.
I had the fish and chips which was a huge piece of fish, melted in my mouth, my hubby had Swiss mushroom burger which was great ( except for the the fact that it had a few caramelized onions that he hates)

So I got popcorn shrimp and American burger. Shrimp way overcooked would not recommend and American burger horrible McDonald's way better. So I ordered black and blue burger medium well with fries and popcorn shrimp. Shrimp no flavor total garbage. I ordered black and bleu burger but waitress decided to give me a American burger with upcharge for bacon. I have eaten mcdouble from McDonald's tasted way better. Do not recommend this place

Update 8/10/23... This is now our go-to place for happy hours. Best HH beer deals in the area. Great rotating draft beer selections. All of the bartenders are good but George is our man. He's always polite, efficient and friendly. Don't pay a therapist, come see George lol.

Grilled Chix tenders and boneless wings are easily split by two ppl. Boneless wings are actually large chunks of white meat! Delicious. All the food is tasty but I have not been thru the whole menu... Bumping to 5 stars.

Visit 1: Wings are ok. Asked for extra crispy they came out a little soggy. Visit 2: Grilled chicken tenders are great for a non-fried dish with any of the sauces. French fries were perfect. Cauliflower bites and burgers are very good. Decent beer selection. This month was $5 22oz Dogfish IPAs so that is a great deal. Huge bar area and nice covered outside seating. Will come back and see if they can sway me to a 5 star rating... Gotta give those out sparingly.

Stopped by during March Madness for dinner with my daughter on a Friday night at 8pm. I was a bit worried that we might have a long wait due to the packed parking lot and March Madness. To my surprise we immediately were seated and greeted by are server Bradley, who took our drink and appetizer order, under 4 minutes later we had or drinks being served when another server delivered our appetizer. Again I was surprised, since its crowed and our order came so quick. As soon as we finished our loaded fries appetizer, our dinners appeared hot right of the grill. I'm a big drinker of ice tea and Bradley was able to keep a new glass ready as I had 4 refills of Arnold Palmer teas. Our dinners were pleasant and the time with my high school daughter(youngest of our 5 children)was priceless since my mother-in-law was in town visiting for a few days. We were finished eating, and had paid in under 35 minutes on a busy Friday night, we're definitely coming back in the near future whenever a quick dinner is needed.

The wings were very good and the service was great. Nice selection of local beer.

The wife and I went here for the first time with her parents. They definately fancy chicken wings. I got a burger. The only thing about the burger was the bun was super small. Aside from that it was good. We also shared a tasty appetizer. It was a nacho appetizer which was good. Overall we enjoyed ourselves. (kid friendly)

I took a couple employees here for lunch today we had the crab dip as an appetizer, plus fish and chips and a BLT as entrees, and a huge selection of wings. I visited the original location in Buffalo NY back in the early 80s and well this is even better. Great selection of dishes to choose from and well my waitress was AWESOME. I have never had such good service at a bar! I will be going back to try other dishes and I hope to leave room for desert next time. One last thing I lived in London in the late 60s and well the fish and chips is the best I have had since leaving London and I have looked for great fish and chips for years with no luck, this will be my go to for sure!

Hands down this place has my favorite boneless chicken wings. The quality of the chicken is exceptional, the breading has a great crunch, and the Sauces given in the perfect amount.

Great service, great atmosphere. Lots of televisions with different games on. I've only had the wings, but both the regular and boneless were excellent. Crispy and really flavorful. They also have great desserts--we tried the brownie with ice cream and the key lie pie. Both were great. Very busy but definitely worth a stop.

Very good experience. Our waiter was quick and attentive without being annoying.

Wings we on point and the crispy chicken sandwich was also good. They also use good hotdogs, sahlens, so the kiddos were happy.

Beer selection was actually pretty large. I got something from attaboy and a very good one from D9. Great experience.

One of my coworkers told me about this place. She said it was the original home of the Buffalo wing... But how could it be... It's not in Buffalo... When I got here, I realized: the first Anchor Bar is in Buffalo, NY. Oh... That made sense!
We were welcomed immediately and brought to a table. We had to move because it was one of those high chairs... Not our style. So we day at a regular table and looked at the menu. Honestly, I didn't know what to get. Josh was our server and he broke down the various levels of heat for each of the sauces. Of course we were getting wings! We choose the honey garlic and Josh brought us a sample of their "medium" hot sauce. And we ordered their loaded fries... With BACON!!
Halfway through the meal, I was full... But I'm a big boy... So I kept going. The fries were intense! The wings were awesome! And the sauces... Wow! The service was terrific, and even the price was awesome: for 24 wings, the fries, and two soft drinks with refills, it was 40 bucks... Not bad. The place has ambiance, good people, great food, and good prices... If you're down in Frederick, stop in and have your own experience!

This place was awesome. It wasn't just regular bar food either. You could tell they added spices and thought to every dish. The wings were AMAZING and the service was AWESOME.

Charles and the 2nd Bartender were on top of their game. I felt like they were Tomax and Xamat (G.I.Joe Reference) I did not have to ask for anything. The next beverages was on deck before I finished my previous drink. The food was exceptional. I went in for wings and had a chicken cheese steak. I believe that is Charles in my photography.
