Great experience! The catfish filets were big and meaty, the fried okra and French fries were crispy, and the baked beans were delicious. Indoor and outdoor seating available which was nice. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back!

Hubby & I went to dinner tonight (Friday) for the 1st time, and we were honestly throughly impressed! We had catfish filets, chicken fingers, okra, cheese grits, fries & hush puppies and Brunswick stew..
We're so full and already planning our next meal there!
Go!!! You won't be disappointed!!!!

What can I say, but OMG!!! The entire experience was phenomenal.. the staff was soooooo friendly and happy to see us. The food was off the chart AMAZING!! You had the choice to sit outside or sit in their spacious dining room with huge picnic tables! Everything was soooooo clean, too, despite them being busy!! I must say even the bathroom was spotless, and the decor in there made it feel like home!! This was my families first visit there but I can guarantee it won't be the last!! Well done, guys, you've got a new loyal customer!!

Call orders in ahead, dine in or eat outside on picnic tables. Great catfish, catfish strips, ff, coleslaw, awesome yummy hushpuppies. Barbeque , stew, soft drinks, iced tea. Very family oriented. Really I believe this is the only place around Covington for a catfish dinner. Come one, come all enjoy. Nice folks to hang with and be around!

We found this place on one of our adventures. Great fried catfish, hush puppies and baked beans. The customer service is great. There was a long drive thru but it moved quickly and efficiently.

Well worth the wait. This place easily had close to 100 people in and out while I was there. The food was absolutely scrumptious and the service friendly. I left full but light. We had just about everything on the menu and wasn't dissapointed with any selection.
I am going to eat here again probably within the next day or two. :)

Back in late January, while in Covington on business I came across Walden's and had an outstanding meal!!! I met Pat and Tony, very friendly and hospitable folks. SO.... to the food: I had the Fried Shrimp meal.... the Shrimp were cooked perfectly and the crunchy batter was beautifully seasoned. The crinkle cut fries were nice and crispy outside and fluffy inside- cooked in oil that was still fresh. The big surprise were the Hush-Puppies, crunchy on the outside and nice fluffy texture inside. The Surprise.... after crunching on the outside, that coating seemed to melt in the mouth. I can't really explain it, but the best Hush-Puppies I've had EVER!!!

If you're in the area, give them a try. Simple food cooked wonderfully is always a great experience!!

We usually order ahead and pickup. They are reasonably priced and friendly. We love our catfish plate Friday nights.

Visiting from Colorado so we had to get some local food. The catfish and hush puppies are very good. Nice sweet tea, fun atmosphere.

Y'all they have some of the best cheese grits. The hush puppies and the catfish was really good. Called my order in but still had to wait 15 minutes after arriving because the drive thru was backed up. That is my only complaint. Will definitely be going back will just allow extra time in case of a wait.

Been wanting to try them for a while, finally got to go. I got the chicken finger meal w/ double cheese grits (they were perfect, I should have gotten a larger one), it was really good, the cheese grits really improved my mood, Now I need to work through the menu. Walden's is worth the visit, you won't regret it.

The staff are so pleasant. They walk around with smiles. Food is outstanding 100 out of 10.

Oh my goodness (literally)! I passed by Walden's today on my way home. Been living in this area for one full month and saw #1 in Newton County outside.

I am so happy I turned my car around. When I say, everything I ordered is finger-licking good! Wow, my taste buds are tantalized and awake. Lol

They open at 3:00 pm but the owner served me any way at 2:30 pm. She is amazing and let me sample a few things. I ended up buy the 2-pc catfish filet with 1 chicken finger and coleslaw, cheese grits as sides. I had to get a bowl of the brunswick stew to go and taste the strawberry pie.

Um um um! Lol, you know the food is good when you bite into it and start dancing all of a sudden. I will definitely be coming back.

And as a new resident in Covington will pick some items up when I have my housewarming in a few months.

Good food guys. And I felt that good ole southern hospitality and charm.

We enjoy this place with mama many times when visiting her in Covington from out of town. Great food, friendly and attentive service, nice family friendly atmosphere. Eat outside or in AC/heated out building. Fried shrimp and fried fish excellent!! Great cole slaw too.
